Darkness engulfed the white warrior and his medicine cat. When IceHeart opened his eyes he was back in camp, a warrior sat on top of the fallen tree in camp. The cat had dark blue eyes, and a dark gray tabby pelt dotted with stars, IceHeart could see through the she-cat and it sent shivers down his spine when she spoke. "IceHeart. There is no need to panic, I am PebbleStar. I was leader of LightClan before you were born. And I am only aloud to speak to you now to inform you of a storm yet to come." She dipped her head in getting and the white warrior did the same, "PebbleStar. I have come to ask approval of AppleTail's kits..." IceHeart stood up confidently, PebbleStar showed no emotion in her cold dark stare. "Though StarClan does not approve of these kits, one is special. They must be born in order to fulfill the prophecy. You remember, a dark is coming, but may it only come when the kit comes of age." The leader looked down at IceHeart for a second, then disappeared in a flash of white. IceHeart was flung into some sort of memory wheel, everything was white until the memories played, and PebbleStar's voice rang in his ears.
IceHeart saw AppleTail, she was in the forest and IceHeart was with her. Her kits we're coming and she was spitting orders through the pain.
Then he was flung to the nursery, HoneyPetal was suckling three tiny kits, AppleTail's kits. IceHeart was explaining that he found them out in the forest alone. PebbleStar's voice spoke, "Born wrong of the mother. Raised wrong by another."
IceHeart was at an apprentice ceremony, BrightStar was speaking. "BlazeKit, from this moment on until you earn your warrior name you will be known as BlazePaw. Your mentor will be..." He couldn't finish. IceHeart found himself at the kit's warrior ceremony, when he met a Dark Forest warrior, and throughout his whole life. Until it all came to an end, and the tom was back in the shining cave with AppleTail. The she-cat had a worried expression, "Are you okay?! What happened?! You were thrashing around in your sleep." She was spitting at him. IceHeart got up, he bent down to lick his ruffled chest fur, "Yes I'm fine." He said calmly. His white fur stood on end when an icy voice whispered in his ear, "Do no tell her about what you saw. Lie." Is what it said, and IceHeart had a bad feeling about it. "What happened?!" AppleTail asked again, "Nothing AppleTail. They approved. That's all." He lied, he lied to his medicine cat.
The two made their way back to camp, but AppleTail stopped before entering. IceHeart turned to look at her, "What is it?" he asked her, she shook her head, " I can't return. They will notice." She sounded like a concerned mother, then again, she was. IceHeart understood, he nodded his head, "But what do I say to all of them? And where do you hide?" He asked. AppleTail looked thoughtful, " Tell them that a group of rogues took me. You couldn't fight them off. And I will stay in the old fox den, it is very deep. And that place smells of fox, you can't get rid of the smell., it will hide my scent." She explained like it was obvious. IceHeart waited a moment before replying, "Of course. I will visit you every day. Take care. I'm sure your apprentice TwigPaw will be fine alone. He is very smart for beingseven moons old, he takes after his mentor. AppleTail started to walk off, "Goodbye." IceHeart called to the she-cat as she disappeared into the thick forest greens. IceHeart padded into camp, everyone instantly surrounded him asking questions, everyone except his mate and leader. A yowl rang through the clearing and everyone stopped asking questions, BrightStar came bounding from his den. "Where have you been?! And where is AppleTail?!" He demanded, IceHeart sighed, "I went to go help AppleTail when she left for herbs. She said she needed to go to the shining cave to speak to StarClan, but on our way back we were confronted by a group of six rogues. They said they would gather all of their rogue friends and attack our camp if AppleTail didn't go with them to heal their injured cats, I tried to fight, but that stubborn medicine cat wouldn't let me. She said to head back to camp, after that she left with the rogues. She is gone." He said, trying to make his voice shake so it sounded real. And his little lie worked, all the cats' eyes filled with grief, and they started to mourn their lost medicine cat. AppleTail's apprentice TwigPaw came slowly walking out into the clearing, "Is this true IceHeart? Is my mentor really gone?" IceHeart only needed to show fake grief in his eyes for the small tom to believe. TwigPaw turned around, his different colored eyes sad,and went back to the medicine den, but before he went inside he meowed, "I will be in my den sorting herbs. Do not come in unless someone is injured." then he left. BrightStar and MapleSpot walked over to the den and went inside to comfort TwigPaw, MapleSpot was his mother, and BrightStar probably needed to talk to him about how important he is to the clan now. TwigPaw's litter mate ScorchPaw didn't look upset, he showed no grief at all, and just stared angrily at IceHeart before padding up to him when he was alone. "I know your not telling the truth. But honestly I don't care." Is all ScorchPaw meowed before turning away when FlurryStorm called his name for the patrol. IceHeart didn't know what to say in reply to that, he just stood there stunned after SorchPaw said he knew.
