I know this ship became a trend ever since TFA was released, but I've never been able to get behind this.

Now, I don't mean to offend anyone who does ship them, nor will I disrespect you if you're a fan of this ship. My only intention is to specify why I dislike it. Having said that, here we go:

The great problem with this couple is that it is a TOXIC relationship. First 50 Shades of Gray, then After, later Suicide Squad, and now Star Wars. I simply cannot process why toxic relationships are a thing nowadays. 

Young girls literally idolize this 'romance' and even claim that they want a Christian, Hardin, Joker, or Kylo in their life. *facepalms and sighs angrily.*

No, No! NO! and a thousand times NOOOOO!!!  You DO NOT want a man like that in your life. The one thing all this characters have in common is that they're all abusive, and mentally damaged and that is something that's really prejudicial to girls' mentality. The only difference is that Joker is a very good character, unlike the other two losers. Kylo is an 'okay' character, fro my perspective.

The female protagonists of all the stories mentioned above are really idiotic, having on-and-off relationships with the men. First they fight and break up, but later return with them. Rey, on the other hand, initially believes that Kylo can be redeemed, even after he kills Han Solo (a father figure to her) and injures Finn. 

Nonetheless, after they defeat the Preatorian Guard, he tries to convince her to join her side by manipulating her: "You have no place in this story. You come from nothing. You're nothing." The typical phrases of an abusive man that desperately wants the girl to stay by his side.

After that, Rey finally understands that he's irredeemable and when the last surviving Resistance members are on board the Falcon, they exchange stares for a minute before she closes the freighter's ramp, disconnecting them.

*claps slowly* Good for you Rey. Leave that man once and for all. Rey might not be the best character or role model for girls, but that's one good lesson she might teach them. I just hope Abrams doesn't revive this in Episode IX.

And that's mostly it. I hope I didn't hurt anyone's feelings with my opinion, and if I did, I'm sorry.
