Wilford Warfstache Goes To College

Mark was roused from his slumber from the alarm he set for Wilford. Upon investigating whether or not he was awake yet, he found Wilford buried beneath the blankets on his bed. Mark sighed and said, "Wilford, I told you that you need to be awake at this time, not buried beneath your blankets."

"But I'm tired," Wilford's familiar voice echoed from his cocoon.

"Wilford, you start college today. You don't want to miss it."

"Why aren't you making Darkiplier and Antisepticeye go?"

"His case is different, you know that, and Anti is under the jurisdiction of Jack and Signe."

Wilford groaned and began peeling blankets off of him. "I don't want to go."

"You need some education."

"Are you calling me stupid?"

"Yes, yes, I am. Now, get going before I start yelling or get Jack to yell for me."

With the thought of Jack yelling at him, Wilford sprang out of bed and raced around the room, getting ready for the day ahead. Mark shook his head and left his room, leaving Wilford alone to get ready. Being the person he is, he 'accidentally' threw some weapons into his bag. Downstairs, Mark felt like he could only hope for the best, even though it won't probably happen.

Time Skip

As Wilford came down the stairs with his bag slung over his shoulder, Mark grabbed his bag and placed it on the table, asking, "So, Wilford, anything I should be concerned about in your bag?"

"Nope, it's all good," Wilford replied as he tried to go for his bag but Amy prevented him from doing so (with Jack's help).

Mark raised an eyebrow. "So I can take a look?"

Before Wilford could respond, Mark opened his bag up and started looking through it. Every time a weapon was pulled out, Mark shook his head in disapproval. By the time he was done, Wilford could only grab something quick for breakfast.

Mark hurried Wilford out the door. "Don't forget to keep watch on Dark and Anti, Jack, and I love you, Amy."

Time Skip

"Today is going to be an easier day," Mark said as he drove Wilford to the college. "You'll have a campus tour with a college senior named Joshua that will last almost all morning, then I arranged for you to go to lunch with another student named Max, who is in both of your afternoon classes. After lunch, you'll have a music class, then a small period of 'free time,' then a science class. After your science class, I'll be right outside the building. You got it?"

"Yeah, I got it," Wilford said.

"Okay, good. You know, even though I do feel like you need this education, I also feel like I am giving you more freedom and responsibility. I'm going to trust you with this, but if anything happens, I will be more than happy to take away some – if not all – of that freedom and responsibility I'm giving you. You understand?"

"I understand."

Mark pulled up to the college. "Okay, we're here. Are you ready for your first day?"

Wilford scowled as he started getting out of the car. "I honestly don't want to go."

"But you are going to with no complaints." Wilford opened the car door, prompting Mark to push him out. "Have fun, learn something, and be a normal human being for once."

Mark closed the door and drove off, leaving Wilford alone at the campus entrance. Wilford sighed as he started to walk deeper into campus, only to be stopped by a slightly younger college student.

"Hello, my name is Joshua, but you can call me Josh," he said in a friendly voice. "Welcome to the college! I will be showing you around campus today. Can I please have your name?"

He held his head high. "Wilford Warfstache."

"Nice to meet you, Wilford. Is this your first year? I don't think I've ever seen you around here before."

"Yes, this is. I was forced here because my, uh, 'caring friend' thought me to be stupid."

"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear. Anyways, are you ready for the tour?"

"I guess."

"Good! Let's go!"

Josh started off the tour by showing Wilford where his classes were located, and then he showed him where other buildings were. He continued showing Wilford around campus until he got a good feel for it, then Josh gave a friendly farewell and left to go to a class, leaving Wilford alone and a bit confused. Wilford meandered towards the on-campus grille, only stopping when he was stopped by another college student, this one much younger than him.

"Hi, are you Wilford?" the student asked.

"The one and only," Wilford replied with maybe a bit too much egotism.

The student looked relieved. "Oh, good. Well, in any case, my name is Max. I have several classes with you throughout the week, including two after lunch today. I was instructed by your friend, Mark, to accompany you as much as possible since you have some bad tendencies, as he called it."

Wilford scoffed. "Bad tendencies? What a dumbass."

Max brushed off the odd comment. "So, are you ready for lunch?" Max didn't wait for a reply; instead, he grabbed Wilford's arm and said, "Okay, let's go. I'm starving!" before dragging him towards the campus grille.

"What do they even have at the grille?"

"Well, there's a Chick-Fil-A and a Subway in there, as well as Starbucks, but that's not really where to go for lunch, but it is good for coffee."

"Mark won't let me have coffee. He says I'm too hyper."

"Aw, that sucks. Well, whatever. Let's just get some subs. BLT okay?"

"Sure."

Max ordered a foot-long BLT for him and Wilford to share. After getting and eating the food, Max dragged Wilford to their music class. Before class even started, Wilford managed to drop and smash an instrument Wilford didn't recognize (it was a guitar). Max shook his head at Wilford and found a seat in the back of the room. Wilford meandered over there and took the seat next to him.

"Are you always that clumsy?" Max asked Wilford.

"Uh............." Wilford responded.

Max raised an eyebrow and opened his mouth to ask another question when the professor came in. Class proceeded, and Wilford managed not to smash another instrument. After class, Max and Wilford chilled in the lobby of the building and discussed the class requirements. They lost track of time and realized the time when their class was about to start. They ran to the class, running in almost late. When they rushed to two seats next to each other, Wilford accidentally knocked over some beakers, causing them to smash on the floor. Max shook his head and ignored what just happened. The class started, and Wilford got distracted with thoughts of going home.

"Wilford Warfstache!" the professor barked at him. "Pay attention!"

Wilford sighed. "Okay..."

Wilford tried to pay attention, but from his point of view, it was boring as hell. It became interesting for once when the professor allowed the class to kinda see the different materials that would be used throughout the class. Max helped to keep Wilford from being too clumsy, but when the professor announced that class was over, Wilford rushed out with his bag, only to knock over some more beakers. Max facepalmed and yanked Wilford out before he could knock anything else over.

Max waved as he jogged away. "See you tomorrow, Wilford."

"See you, I guess," Wilford said before spotting Mark's car.

He ran over and got in to have Mark ask, "How was college, Wilford?"

He shrugged. "Okay. Could have gone worse."

"Well, that's always good. Ready to go home?"

"Yep."

Mark would never find out what went wrong that day, not even about the multiple smashed classroom items.

side note - I'm so sorry this took longer than I said. It took more than I expected, but I'm satisfied with the result having taken longer to produce. I think if I had rushed myself to finish it by the time I promised to post it, it wouldn't have come out as good (it probably wouldn't have had nearly as many words as this did).

Anyways, I hope y'all enjoyed this. ^‿^
