(Y/N's Prelude)

*Inhale... Exhale*

So... Where do I even begin?

Damn... It's been a hell of a ride if I could say that, being flung to another dimension? Ha, yeah... It's been a ride.

So... It all started on Nessus, was trying to find a Guardian, good friend of mine, she disappeared and well... The Big Z issued a fireteam to find her, but I ended up finding her trace first with my Ghost. So there we were, we headed to Nessus, fought some Vex that got in the way, followed the traces, and... It lead us to a secret room the Vex were hiding, or at least we thought they were hiding.

The trace ended up cold, but we investigated what was down under, a secret underground room, and it wasn't made out of any Vex structures, it was almost... Golden-Age like? They were these symbols and scripts on the walls, bookcases, you name it.

By the time we finished investigating, I activated a floor mechanism by accident and it made a portal out of a structure, Ace was in my holster and it cut my holster on accident with my knife, trying to save myself from being sucked into the portal, having lost Ace? I went after the gun.

And then?

Then I ended up somewhere completely different...

My Ghost couldn't contact the Vanguard, our comms were scrambled, out of range... But I could feel the Light, pulsating through me as if I still had it, Glace could feel the same, we weren't sure where the portal had took us. But for damn sure? We were somewhere completely different.

There was no standing city left on Earth, at least that we knew of, the Last City wasn't named the Last City for no reason.

There was scripts detailing what the Pre-Golden Age did look like, at least a few scripts and snippets that we found.

We stood before a statue, gold and all, pictured someone... Someone we'd meet not long after.

Speaking about that?

We weren't the only ones here...

The Taken had followed... And soon the Hive would soon make an appearance.

So I did what Guardians did best?

Wiped the Taken out, they were near a shard that resonated with Light, it was no wonder how we could feel the Light still.

But that wasn't it...

We found...

Some very interesting people that were fighting the Taken, or at least one of them was at the time before the other arrived.

And I kid you not?

These were some colorful people, I'll tell ya. Heroes and Villains? It was a strange place.

Their names? I thought the names were funny...

Heh... Superman? Batman??

But to be honest? They proved me that names aren't for show, it's what defines them.

That's when we both knew? The portal had taken us to a different dimension... Or a different Earth for that matter, it's confusing I know, believe me.

Speaking about those two? They became quick allies of mine, though Superman doesn't exactly agree with my methods at times but he understands what Guardians do.

So first of all??

Superman...

Clark Kent, Kal-El... He's a Boy Scout, stands for the Truth and Justice type of thing, and he's an alien from a different planet which orbited a red sun. But granted when he's under a yellow sun? He has these powers I would say they're amazing but... It's not the Light, it's completely different, it's amazing in its own way I would say. He can defy gravity and fly at any speeds which is one of his abilities, he's very strong, durable and vice versa.

"I will admit... You stand by the name 'Guardian' by a good reason alone, maybe I was a little wrong about you".

He's no Guardian but boy does everyone love him? Or at least not everyone.

Like Guardians? He has his fair share of enemies and allies, everyone does here.

But about him being loved and all that? People of the city he patrols called Metropolis, built him a golden statue, which honestly? I thought he ruled the city...

He proved me wrong in the end though.

"They call me Earth's Champion, I once died protecting them from an evil creature of pure chaos, they built a statue to honor of what I've done for them all. They see me as a symbol of hope"

Batman...

There's a lot of nicknames for this fella.

A lot you want understand but here's one you might understand.

The Dark Knight.

He's the protector of Gotham City, someone like him? A mere Human? He's got people that were under his wing. But there's a lot of times where he would've died fighting the Taken, or the Hive for that matter?

"This is where my parents died, Y/N, Glace"

But here's the thing...

He always plans ahead, I think giving him some knowledge on our enemies saved him the trouble from finding out himself.

He's someone you could count on, he's works by the book, no messing around, and he rarely smiles.

I bet if he does? That's a good sign or a bad sign...

"I am Vengeance... I am the Knight... I am Batman!"

Wonder Woman...

Diana Prince... In the short time I've known her? She defines what a Guardian is... I can see it.

"You fight with courage, Y/N. Like a true Amazon"

She comes from an island that only consists with females, a bit odd but... It's not my place to speculate why it is... I've yet to learn more about the island of Themyscira.

She a warrior too, she's one of the most powerful beings I've sparred against, but even with my Light? I still managed to best her and the Amazons in combat, I was honored to be the first man to be allowed to roam Themyscira without supervision.

She's Devoted... Brave and she puts her life on the line to defend her home, her people and Earth and will do anything to protect it, even if she had to kill once...

"It had to be done, you would've done the same too, Guardian... I didn't want you to carry that heat"

Supergirl...

*Soft chuckle* Kara Zor-El, Supergirl... Ah... I've got a lot of good things to say about her.

We first met when she fell from the sky, at least in her pod or ship or whatever it was. She crashed in Gotham, in the river at least...

She made quite the ruckus, she was scared, had no idea where she was, she was being chased by Batman and... Well, yours truly.

But when we confronted her? My Ghost had to translate what she was saying, she picked up Kryptonese, the language Kara spoke and Superman spoke too, at least he had learned it before this encounter.

Kara is Superman's cousin too, they both wear the same symbol, that S I forgot to mention is actually named the House of El, it doesn't stand for... Well the obvious. 

I once learned that after I got to know her a little better, I opted to help her adapt to Earth on behalf of her cousin. We quickly bonded, and soon? We became friends. Close friends in other words.

A lot happened afterwards, she had spent all day in a populated city which she dragged me to come with her, with her cousin showing her around Metropolis but... Afterwards? She was in a way, taken to Themyscira by Diana, even if it was by force... At the time? I wasn't happy about it, but to be honest? It was good for her, even if Kal wasn't too happy about it still.

We were ambushed by some Amazons nonetheless...

Then the island was invaded by beings from a planet called Apokolips, pretty much Hell in a way but as a planet. Kara was kidnapped, I killed one of the invaders that helped kidnap her, went after her... Destroyed an entire army, got her back from a being named Darkseid, big mean guy... He called himself a New God? Bah! He didn't seem like much.

He had people brainwash Kara but we managed to get her back, her service to Apokolips was very short.

"I wanted to say thank you if I hadn't said it already... For helping me adapt and settle in more smoothly. You're my first friend... One I'm happy to call best friend since Lyla"

A lot happened after that too...

Helped her settle in more to Earth, hanged out with her multiple times, told her some stories about our culture, about... Cayde... And well... Mostly everything she wanted to know. I watched her embrace herself, she chose to fight for Earth, she chose to become Supergirl, to use her powers for good.

And... Haha...

Well...

*Chuckle*

She admitted to liking me, as in... More than friends after months had went by.

"I know! I know! It's crazy, I know!" 

"Look, for a while, I've been having those feelings and I wasn't quite sure how to even process them or even say anything about them, all those times where I would catch myself staring at you or think about you too often? Is when I began to realize that I couldn't stop thinking about you" 

"It's crazy, but I wish I could explain your eyes, and how the sound of your voice gives me butterflies. How your smile makes my heart skip a beat, and the fact I feel so complete around you every time I'm with you, how I feel so vulnerable too when I'm with you."

And to be honest? I liked her too, I soon moved in with her shortly before that though, it was hard to tell if she had started to have feelings for me before or after.

I'm happy nonetheless, she makes me happy, like I make her happy.

"I just thought maybe... You needed to know that I do... Love you"

she's not a Guardian, but I will say?

In my eyes? She acts like a Guardian...

When I mentioned there was more heroes? I wasn't joking... There's a ton out there, even formed teams of their own.

The main ones are the Justice League and the Justice Society, they're not the Government or well... The Vanguard but, they're a group of heroes who defend Earth, Superman and Batman are part of the Justice League, Diana was but... Recently? She left after killing a madman.

I don't blame her honestly.

I have mixed feelings about the Justice League, they're a great group but... I have seen myself buttheads with them on a few occasions, especially when the Hive began to show up.

The Justice Society? They're like the Justice League but they're different in their own way, I get along with them, a lot of them in fact.

Then there's other teams, the Outsiders, Batman's former sidekick leads that team, calls himself Nightwing, Dick Richard Grayson, he's someone I get along with very well.

He's as energetic as a Hunter, a 'Sly Bastard' in Shaxx's words if Lord Shaxx was around. Smart and all.

"Neat, I could really use one of those"

The Teen Titans? Led by someone who Batman tutors, calls himself Red Robin aka Tim Drake. His team are... Well... Were some good people, they still are but... Not after what happened to Kara, she was with them for a few months, until she was kicked out, by her supposed best friend, Cassandra Sandsmark aka Wonder Girl. 

It was a roller coaster of emotions, these Pre-Golden Age kids say? I've learnt a lot of slang and terms since arriving here, with as many Shards of Light being found, even finding two Guardians that ended up dead, one of them being Aya, the missing Hunter... Friendly Vex... Did I forget to mention that?

Friendly Vex? Yeah, it sounds crazy but I'm not kidding, they're lead by none other than Praedyth, you thought he was a myth? *Scoff* We were wrong, he was trapped within the Vault of Glass but he found a way out, he still has his Ghost as well which was surprising. Once we found his skeleton one time during the Taken Incursion of the Vault of Glass, we thought Praedyth was dead forever? Glad to know we were wrong.

He ran into these Vex called Sol Consensus, they worship the Light, seek to protect it even, and they see Guardians as allies, I've even been given access to the Vex Network through them, they're valuable allies.

Nonetheless, I once said to these heroes... That this world needed Guardians also...

But to be honest?

I think we may need these heroes on our side...

However? It's been months since I've been stuck here. In a way? I really want to go home, to see all of my friends again, I've felt homesick because of it. But I admit? I've enjoy it here, it's a lot different.

But I'm proud to have made allies and friends here, despite making enemies here along the way.

They're no Guardians... But they know how to fight, to protect, putting their lives on the line to keep the world and the universe safe, by any means.

But they stand by one rule... No killing.

It's a rule that defines them, I understand why. But there's been many occasions where I, as a Guardian, have been questioned time and again. "Why do I kill my enemies?".

Short answer is?

They threaten Humanity, my part of Humanity, the Last City, and now our enemies threaten both Earths. We need all the allies we can get, if more of our enemies show up, which I have a feeling could happen soon.

But honestly?

I'm hoping to get home soon...

Because as much as I do like it here? I really want to get home... But I've been making tapes and intel reports to hand over to the Vanguard whenever I get home...

And now there's a Crisis on our backs.

Here's hoping nothing goes wrong during this... Or I could end up eating my own words, one or the other...

[Earth-??? |Somewhere around an Unknown Location]

*Pained groan*

The pained groaning of a Guardian began to exhale out of his throat, he could feel his head pouncing with pain, like two wrecking balls, colliding with one another in his head, over and over again.

His eyes opened with sharp pain, his hood blocked a little bit of his view but he could see light still, the pain forced him to close his eyes for a little bit longer before he began to feel his body again, pain everywhere in his body alone.

"Ugh... My head" he cursed, rolling over onto his back, he could feel the wetness of the ground, noticing he had awakened within a little puddle of water, his eyes began to open a little wider than before, surpassing the splitting headache he was having.

"Ah, great" he cringed at the feeling. "Nothing better than waking up to feeling all wet... Wait" he thought for a moment...

His surroundings consisted of leafless trees, down to their branches, all crooked and crunchy. The barks of the trees blackened like a shadow.

The sky wasn't bright, it was dull, but it still brimmed blue, the water was colored a dimmish blue, some white water not far from where he was but he could see it nonetheless.

"How did I end up here? I thought I was..." He began to remember, he was up in space... With Supergirl, with his Ghost. With Donna Troy, Firestorm... Mostly everyone that Donna could gather.

Then an Omega Beam or just a beam of pure matter was shot out, during this... Infinite Crisis of some sort, Supergirl and Y/N with his Ghost, were hit by the beam at the same time, he remembered the artifact that he had carried, hummed with energy before his visuals went black.

"Shit..." he cursed. "Glace, where are we?" he called out to his Ghost... But returned with no answer. "Glace?" he feared for the worst after gaining no reply again as he sighed once more.

"Great... That's just great... I'm all alone" he huffed, he soon pulled himself up, noticing his hand cannon next to him. "Well... Not exactly but..." he smiled at Ace of Spades. "Well, least I still have my Light, that does tell me she's alive" he sighed a relieved breath before hearing something move around the trees.

He aimed his gun at the sudden movement, swearing he had heard something, as he began to realize something else...

He recognized this... Forest... The trees, the water, the sky...

'Am I in the Dark Forest?!' He thought loudly, gun still aiming at where he thought he saw some movement.

* *

[Meanwhile]

"Kara!" a voice called out a name... A name that belonged to her, she was born with it after all. "Kara!! Please wake up!!" the voice began to get clearer and but Kara's hearing wasn't, her eyes still blurred along with it.

"Ugh" painfully groaned Supergirl, she could make out a flying object floating in her face as her eyes opened to the sky.

"Oh you're awake! Thank the Traveler, we need to find Y/N, he's missing!" the familiar voice of Glace spoke, Kara's vision was getting a little clearer, though the ringing in her ears wasn't getting any better.

"G-Glace?" Kara mumbled out, she held her head with one hand as she soon began to sit up. "Can you... Shut up for a minute, please? My head's killing me" Kara groaned out, inhaling and exhaling afterwards.

She hadn't felt this much pain in a while, not since wearing the bracelet, Y/N had provided her to deal with the odd nightmares and false visions that she's been experiencing.

"As much as I would stay quiet for a minute, I can't" Glace spoke again, as much as to Kara's disapproval. "I've managed to contact the Vanguard!!" she dropped onto Kara.

"W-Wait" Supergirl groaned out, half of her face showing to Glace. "As in... You got into contact with... Y/N's people?".

"Yes! Not the term I'd use but, yes!" Glace answered gleefully. "While you were knocked out, I pinpointed an emergency broadcast, the signal was a little iffy but I still managed. We're currently in the Dark Forest, on our Earth!".

"Wait... Your Earth?" Kara's eyes widened. "The Omega Beam..."

"It must've sent us both to my Earth! Or my reality of course, Y/N must be here too! But he's not here with us at the moment" Glace looked out to the forest around them and so did Kara after she slid her hand away from her head.

"My super hearing's still..." the girl tried using her super hearing, but couldn't pick up Y/N's heartbeat anywhere. "Not working, I think my powers maybe dampened right now, I do feel a little weaker" she issued.

"We need to find Y/N, I have a feeling we might not be the only ones here" Glace began to move, leaving Kara a little behind.

"What do you mean by that?" the caped girl shouted after getting herself up from the grass, dusting off herself afterwards.

"In case we might run into Taken... Or Fallen"...

[Back to Y/N]

Y/N jumped across from one point to another, avoiding a hole that was a little deep down or he'd have to climb up again to make the jump.

"Glace!! Kara!!" he shouted for what would be the seventh time in the last eight minutes. "Anyone!!" the Guardian shouted out again, only hearing his own echo responding back with his already said words before he sighed himself again. "Great".

He jumped on down from the ledge, continuing onward onto the water ahead, where an old massive tree was, along with other trees around it.

"I don't recognize this part yet... I feel as if I'm within the Dark Forest, it all looks... Just like it" he talked to himself, it was odd to not hear Glace in his head, she took away that aloneness when he'd go on patrol.

He stepped into the water, making himself across stream of white colored water, it almost... Radiated with Light even, confirming Y/N suspicions.

He was in fact in the Dark Forest... On his Earth...

"That beam also hit Kara too, I need to find her and Glace" Y/N felt himself worried sick about the two, most specifically Kara, she wasn't a Guardian... She was a mortal in a way.

A slither of movement was heard around him, he had drawn his gun and knife in the other hand, he had a feeling he wasn't alone right now. Feeling as if he was being watched.

"I know you're there..." he called out, putting his knife away for a brief moment to throw a Vortex grenade at the spot he saw movement, before then? He saw a cloaked figure making a run for it after the grenade was thrown.

There was only one cloaked figure that could move that fast while staying invisible...

Before he could make out of, the cloaked figure decloaked themselves before giving out a laugh... An Alien creature with 4 arms, three fingers, wearing cloth like material with a House of Dusk symbol. It's faceplate glowed with six lights.

Before long? It was soon joined by other of its kind, many like him, but different in every unique way.

"The Fallen! Of course..." he rolled his eyes before he pulled the trigger... Starting the fight.

[With Supergirl and Glace]

Supergirl floated off of the water, not because she wanted to get her boots wet, she wanted to make sure she still had a slither of her powers still, she still felt a little weak but she had began to use some of her stored sunlight that was within her body.

"Glace" Kara called out.

"Yes?".

"Like Y/N, can't you... Y'know? Use the Light like he can?" she asked, giving Glace a look of curiosity and hopefulness, just in case if her sunlight reserves ran out.

"There's been a tale or two about a Ghost being able to... But sadly? I cannot" Glace answered.

"Shucks" Kara said out loud. "Seems I'll have to rely on my Solar energy reserves then, I've got enough as it is, I should be fine" she shrugged. "My hearing's getting better now, x-ray vision..." her eyes began to glow from a blue to a red. "Heat vision" she fired red hot beams into the water before smiling.

"Hmm, still no word from the Vanguard yet... Usually they'd respond by now" Glace quietly talked to herself.

"Still nothing I hear?" Kara observed, now floating over the grass, over a pair of rocks...

"Nothing yet, that hearing of yours better now?" Glace asked.

"It's getting there, I can hear a little further now, almost like I used to" Kara confirmed. "But I still can't hear his heartbeat" she issued a worried glace toward Glace.

"I'm sure he's in the forest, which has got me wondering... How did I split up from my Guardian?".

"I dunno" Kara shrugged. "I don't have an answer for that" Kara continued. "Besides... This forest is... Elegant but... Creepy".

"This forest is how we got our Light back during the Red War" Glace shared some insight on the matter to Kara. "We interacted with the biggest Shard of the Traveler, *garble* the one we both saw in our dream, *garble* it's where he first made the Arc Staff, transcending beyond the Bladedancer to Arcstrider" Glace showed a hologram of Y/N's Arc Staff to Kara.

Supergirl had seen it before plenty of times, she rolled her eyes toward the hologram. "I know what it looks like, Glace. You don't need to show me".

"That's not the point, my point is that this forest... Saved our lives, it gave us a fighting chance against the Red Legion, if that hadn't happened?-"

"I wouldn't have met Y/N... And you..." Kara thought for a moment. "I never really thought of it that way... Why are you telling me this?" Kara asked rather oddly, she was confused by it all.

"Well... I thought I'd let you know, you never really asked us much about the Red War".

"Because I didn't want to ask about a touchy subject, Y/N looked uncomfortable about it" Kara deadpanned.

"I know he hasn't told you much about his old fireteam... But..." Glace stopped for a moment before looking away from Kara. "They... Died during the Red War, when the Last City was attacked" Glace revealed, though it was still a little sensitive.

Kara looked utterly shocked at that specific moment, she knew they died but... He didn't give the specific details of how they died or when they died. "And it wasn't long ago..." Kara muttered.

"Almost two years in fact" Glace chirped. "He was going to tell you sooner than later, just so you know".

"I see" Kara muttered under her breath, Glace heard her but chose to not reply, just to let Kara think through what the Ghost had told her.

However... She was drifted out of her own thinking as she overheard gunshots ring out from afar, familiar gunshots...

"Y/N?" she loudly muttered.

"What?" Glace answered.

"He... He's here! And he's in trouble!" the Girl of Steel quickly placed her hands around Glace's shell before taking flight throughout the forest.

"I suppose you can hear him?!" Glace shouted, her voice muffled no thanks to Kara holding her shell close.

"My hearing is picking up his gunshots" Kara replied, still flying past trees and narrow corners. "Don't you hear em?".

"Well I can't since your hands are completely covering me almost".

"It's to keep you safe and with me! I'm not going to abandon you, am I?" Supergirl made a good point, Glace knew she was right after all.

Kara's heart raced faster than it has since she first kissed Y/N on the Moon, Y/N was alive and was within the forest... Fighting whatever.

"Shit, shit, shit!" she overheard him in distress, before an explosion occurred.

'Hang on, I'm almost there' she said in her head, as if she was speaking to him through telepathically, Miss Martian would be pretty useful right about now for that, the girl originally thought.

*More gunshots ring out, struggling continues*

Kara could hear him begin to wrestle with someone, before she soon arrived to see dead bodies of insectoid creatures, before an annoyed grunt escaped from a rock ahead of her, out came an insectoid corpse, a dead Fallen Marauder, with a huffing and puffing Y/N.

"Anyone else?" he began stepping out from behind the rock, a blade slid up from his wrist.

Kara counted at least dozen thrown knives at each Fallen he faced, Y/N back was still turned to Kara but she noticed some drones with weapons on the top of their frames, appearing on sniper lanes, charging up their weapons to fire.

Kara gasped before shooting out her heat vision at the attackers, startling Y/N from the sudden noise of Tracer Shanks exploding into parts and scrap, before looking up to see Supergirl, holding Glace in her hands.

"Kara! Glace!" he sounded relieved to see them, even sighing a relieved breath.

"Y/N!" Kara had allowed Glace out of her grasp as the Girl of Steel herself floated on down, quickly enveloping Y/N in a hug. "Oh thank Rao, you're alright" she relieved a sigh from her throat.

"I'm pretty far from alright, got ambushed by Fallen" Y/N grunted a little, as Glace was checking up on her Guardian.

"So that's what these insectoid things are?" she looked at the corpses of the Fallen, the dead ones. "How come the little ones have two arms but the rest of four?".

"It's... A lot to explain" Y/N brushed off.

"Ugh... I just realized you're wet" Kara pulled back immediately afterwards. "Yuck" she began wiping down at the dirt that was left on her suit, even on her midriff belly.

"I was gonna warn you but... You instantly zoomed at me and pulled me to hug, so... That's on you" Y/N told her fair and square, Glace done her magic and fixed up her Guardian, making him look brand new.

"There, that should do it" Glace spoke finally. "I sent an emergency broadcast to the Vanguard, they should be here soon I think".

"Wait... You got into contact with them?!" Y/N asked with widened eyes. "So we're home? Finally?? Well... Not exactly home but... You know what I mean".

"We are, Guardian" Glace confirmed before she eyed more Fallen overhead. "Uh oh, more Fallen!" she soon disappeared into Y/N's backpack.

"We're being surrounded" Kara pointed out.

"I can tell... We aren't welcome for that matter" Y/N replied. "If I had to choose a Crisis over this? I'd choose this".

"Glad to know you're home, but... What about me? How am I supposed to get home? If Kal is alright??" Kara's back collided with Y/N's, her cape billowed to the side a little not long after.

"One problem at a time, sweetheart" Y/N cutely remarked. "We could make a run for it, y'know? You're the one with super speed and flight".

"Fine by me, but I've been wanting to punch something for a while now" she cracked her knuckles, ready to fight alongside her boyfriend, she may not kill but she'll give these Fallen a lesson in never messing with her, since this is their first introduction to them.

"Well... If this is where we bite the dust, Supergirl? I'm just glad to have met you and how far we've come".

"Don't say that! We'll make it out of this" she held his hand, back-to-back. "Together, if these uh Fallen want a fight? We'll give em one".

"Fine by me, Supes" Y/N smiled. "We'll fight em together" he continued... Before something in his ear crackled...

"But not alone, you won't" a voice boomed through, a commanding voice.

"Zavala?" Y/N asked with a reply of shock, before a crackling crash of Arc Light boomed through the Fallen within Y/N's line of sight.

The Fallen that were once there, was now replaced by a Titan, wearing silver armor and a big shoulder plate that he has used to his advantage multiple times before, colored with a red secondary color and his trusty custom made Origin Story Auto Rifle.

"Commander! It's great to hear your voice again!!" Y/N cheered.

"As yours!" Zavala replied stoically. "Guardians! Assist Zain in fighting the Fallen! Push them back!" Zavala ordered as many other Guardians rushed on out, two different fireteams of them began rushing from point A and point B.

"Hahaha" Y/N laughed with relief, joining in the fight next as Kara looked around in disbelief, wondering why she even got herself involved in this.

A few Guardians took out some snipers taking some lanes, using their teamwork to do so, meanwhile Kara stayed by Y/N's side, not wanting to lose sight of him at least.

The girl turned around to punch away a Marauder that had snuck in between the Guardian's wrath, saving Y/N from getting stabbed in the side. "There's a lot of them!".

"Many Guardians? Or Fallen??" Y/N grunted, throwing a fan of Solar knives at some shanks ahead on the ridge, shooting his hand cannon at some stray dregs next.

"Do I need to be specific!" Kara shouted over the intense gunfire. Using her heat vision to heat up a Vandals wire rifle before it imploded in his hands which she cringed at. "Oops, I didn't think it would explode"

"Don't feel sorry for these Fallen" Y/N reassured her after seeing the look on her face. "They've killed Guardians during the Red War, Lightless ones" he killed a few more Fallen that shot at him and a few Guardians, who acknowledged him for saving their backs. "Even though you're pretty open to doing so, you said it yourself".

"That's different!" Kara shouted back, freezing a few shank drones before smashing them. "But I know not to kill, you know that".

"I know, sweetheart, Argh!" he grunted in pain, feeling a wire rifle shot going through his abdomen.

Kara heard his grunt of pain and instantly turned around, only to hit by a Major Fallen Captain's scorch cannon, sending her flying into a tree from the explosion's intensity.

"Supergirl!!" Y/N cried out for her before The Captain knocked him down onto the ground as it laughed, aiming his weapon at the Guardian who was about to respond with a shotgun shell through it's Arc shield before it was already done for him.

Commander Zavala rose from the ground from his knee, after disintegrating the Captain that attacked Zain. "I got you, Zain" the Commander offered his hand to him.

"Thanks" Y/N grunted a response, taking the Commander's hand and up he was, back onto his feet once more after picking up his hand cannon.

"Y/N" Supergirl had zoomed back to Y/N after earlier. "You alright?"

Y/N gave her a visible nod. "I'll survive, Zavala saved me. Go help the other Guardians, I'll be fine".

Kara nodded and zoomed off, as Y/N turned to Zavala, "Where's Ikora?" Y/N asked.

"With the Hidden, they're on an ongoing investigation as of right now about Calus" Zavala replied sternly.

"Calus? The Exiled Emperor of the Cabal?" Y/N questioned.

"It's an ongoing investigation on Nessus, alongside that hidden underground area you first discovered, but we have a fight to continue, press on" Zavala nodded before he alongside Y/N, returned to the fight.

Kara showed her skills within the fight, assisting the Guardians in handling the Fallen quicker than they could, which in other words? Surprised that a non-Guardian was holding off on her own, being able to fly, shoot lasers out of her eyes, being but a blur amongst the battlefield...

With the Captain's death however, the Fallen were beginning to retreat, even with Kara giving them a hard time which was the pinnacle to push the Fallen back also.

"They're retreating!" a recovered Kara spoke out loud.

"Don't let up until it's over!" Y/N shouted out, soon after the sounds of battle died down. Some Guardians decided to go after the Fallen that were retreating.

"Who's your friend?" Zavala approached the Guardian, wanting to get some answers out of him, as he had only just reappeared on radar not long ago.

"Well she's more than a friend, actually" Y/N corrected before Kara zoomed on back. "Supergirl, this is Commander Zavala, the Titan Vanguard. I've told you about him before".

"It's an honor, I'm Kara, Kara Zor-El... People call me Supergirl, I'm also Y/N's girlfriend" Kara introduced herself, offering her hand for the Commander to shake, he only looked at it which gave Kara the realization he wasn't the hand shaking type, making her feel a little awkward.

"Girlfriend?" Zavala observed Kara further, after witnessing how fast, strong and durable she was, he had a feeling there was more to the story of this... 'Supergirl's' appearance with Y/N and Glace returning.

"We're... Uh... In a relationship... Me and Kara" Y/N explained in short terms. "It's a long story, but she's from a different world, a different Earth for that matter... And I was stuck on that Earth, due to that area I discovered on Nessus".

"Another Earth?" Zavala questioned, but the look on Y/N's face said it all that he was serious. "Well, you've got a lot to explain, both of you" he looked both Y/N and his reappeared Ghost in the eye. "You both disappeared for over eight months in counting" Zavala then stoically said to Y/N, over the gunfire.

"I'll explain everything" Y/N issued. "Trust me".

"We'll be in my office and bring her with you, Ikora will also be there to hear what you have to tell us" Zavala replied with a stern voice and a nod before he walked off, leaving Y/N and Kara with each other, along with some Guardians around the area.

Awkward silence fell between them as Y/N and Kara looked at each other.

"He seems... Nice?" Kara broke the silence.

"Well... That's your first introduction to the Commander, he's always like that, trust me" Y/N nudged her. "C'mon, let's get out of the forest, time to finally show you the Last City"

"Lead the way" Kara smiled.
