(Weeks later...)
Gotham City, 11:28pm...
The lone hooded Guardian sat on the rooftop, looking out toward the city that was under night with the many lights, lighting up the whole part of the city he could see, rooftops were darkened but still visible to see someone who wasn't wearing black in their outfits.
It was weeks prior to his and his Ghost's first arrival to this strange, adjust reality, after he and Glace explained everything that had happened prior to his unforeseen arrival, he was allowed to roam freely amongst the Earth, trusted enough to go on his own as long as he was supervised for a little while for safety reasons.
A promise had been made that the Justice League would try and find a way to get him and Glace back home to his Earth, safe and sound... Though it may take a long time to get him back when they can find out which Earth he came from.
At the moment, Y/N sat on the rooftop of a building that overlooked most rooftops, along with the Gotham Bay, looking through the scope of a custom made sniper that Batman had made for him with Wayne Tech, armed with high velocity tranquillizer darts instead of the typical sniper ammo he carries, though he had backup sniper ammo, in case Taken threats would emerge as another Light source had been found a week after his arrival.
He has yet to meet any other heroes, however... But has heard of them. Done research on them, thanks to Glace pulling up and downloading files from Batman's computer... Which Batman himself didn't seem to be fond of... Visibly.
"You ever think we'll get back home?" Glace pondered as she switched through different channels she hacked into after being let go weeks ago.
"Probably" Y/N answered. "And by probably... I really hope we do... Feels ancient here" he spoke his mind on this Earth, pre Golden Age tech was everywhere and it felt strange knowing the Traveler nor anything like it exists on this reality at all... Just other forces, nothing much else.
"It's Gotham, you'll get used to it" a gruffy voice spoke into the com link.
The voice belonged to Batman himself, earlier a meteorite had crash landed within the Gotham Bay's waters, flooding the surrounding dry land with water from the bay.
Y/N and Glace were the first to see the incoming meteorite falling from the sky, with him rushing toward the Gotham Bay, warning Batman of its location which the Guardian himself took sniper position while Batman volunteered to investigate.
Not long ago... Y/N was deemed "the Mysterious Hooded Vigilante with elemental magic abilities" who worked alongside Batman, some thought Batman had a "new" Robin which in turn insulted Y/N, he was no one's mere sidekick.
"It's not just Gotham... It's everywhere" he complained. "It all feels... Strange. It's like a maze... A never ending one".
"Like I said... You'll get used to it" Batman replied bluntly, focusing on the task at hand as Y/N sighed through comms. "You might like Metropolis".
"Bats, the same goes for Metropolis, it feels ancient to me and Glace".
"Woah woah, I did not have a say in this" Glace denied ever saying anything.
"Last week?" the Guardian remarked.
"Enough chatter, we've got work to do" Batman replied bluntly again, overlooking something glowing green overhead within the water. Rocks of some sort.
Using the Bat-DiveGlider, he swam to the piece of glowing rocks and immediately knew what it was from just the sight of it.
"Kryptonite"
"What'd you find?" Batman heard Y/N over the comms as he exhumed the Kryptonite from the bay floor.
"I think I heard him say... Kryptonite" Glace chimed in.
"Kryptonite as in Clark's weakness to a green glowing rock? Be funny to throw a green painted rock as a prank" Y/N chuckled a little, hearing no chuckle from anyone after made him quiet. "Okay, I thought it was funny". He thought, knowing Cayde-6 probably would've said the same thing. "Nothing wrong with having some form of humor on the job"
"You're right to assume Glace" Batman responded to Glace's observation as he looked toward the front as his eyes bulged at the discovery. "And not just lots of it" he continued forward.
Bruce's tone made Y/N uneasy, as being a Guardian for 16 years as told him anything, someone with a darkened tone like that has definitely discovered something big.
And it was a big discovery.
"Judging from your tone, what else is down there O' Detective Mine?".
"It appears to be a crashed pod of some sort" he informed the Guardian's curiosity. "Investigating now. Stand by" he moved toward the crashed pod to investigate, judging from the Kryptonite surrounding the area, Batman began to make a few assumptions.
Meanwhile as this was happening, Y/N was still scoped into his sniper, overlooking the Gotham Bay for any activity, suspicious or not.
Which is when he sees something moving up to the surface of the water, a shadowed figure within the dark waters of the Gotham Bay was difficult to identify.
"Uh... Bats" Y/N's voice chimed over Batman's comms, sounding like a warning.
Bruce didn't answer as he began reading the text on the ship, already knowing what the text was from research on Kryptonian history from what Clark found within his Fortress of Solitude.
'Text. Kryptonian... My assumptions were correct, this pod carried a Kryptonian' Batman's inner voice spoke, trying to translate whatever the text was saying.
"Bruce! There appears to be a blonde long haired woman trying to steal your damn boat!" Batman overheard Y/N on the comms as the Guardian fired a shot toward the woman after adjusting the magnitude...
But the shot simply didn't pierce the woman's skin, it bounced off instead which made the woman panic as he briefly saw her face on the scope. "Wait... She... She looks young?" Glace overlooked herself with Y/N un-scoped from his sniper.
"And my shot just... Bounced off of her?" the Guardian was flabbergasted to say at least.
"Because she's a Kryptonian!" Batman informed quickly as he got the warning that the woman had infiltrated the Batboat.
The young girl from earlier climbed in and fell within the seat of the Batboat, colliding with the gear stick which rocketed the boat forward with its thrusters activating.
"Ya think?!" the Guardian sarcastically responded as Batman grappled onto the boat quickly as it sped overhead, seemingly struggling to keep himself steady on being dragged across the waves.
"And she's heading for the port!!" Glace warned
Batman saw the port up ahead and instantly cut off the rope from his Batclaw, beginning to swim toward the land as the Batboat collided with the port bridge before crashing and burning with an explosion which destroying the whole port bridge.
"Batman?! Bruce?!! You alive?" Y/N shouted into his comms. "Talk to me?!".
The Dark Knight swam to land, getting out of the water as he took of his diver equipment and rebreather before tapping into his cowl. "I'm fine, Y/N. Thank you for asking".
"You're welcome" he responded with a hint of sarcasm.
"Spread out, find the girl. Before she accidentally harms anyone" Batman ordered as he walked up from the shore...

Three workers, all male, two Caucasian, one African American, were seen putting away stacks of heavy boxes away within the back of an alleyway that stored many boxes and containers carrying items for delivery.
With this happening, they had no clue of a young lost girl approaching them from the dark corner of the alleyway, the same girl who had recently hijacked Batman's Batboat and crashed it into the port within Gotham Bay, not far from where the men were working as of right now.
And it didn't take long till she was noticed.
"Uh... Guys" he tapped his working buddy in front of him. "Check it out" he got their attention and looked toward the darker corner of where they stood, seeing a blonde haired girl, stripped of clothing, appear.
She looked lost, not knowing where she was as she stepped into the light.
"Well... Hellooo beautiful" the man in the front cooed, approaching the woman. "Getting some fresh air?"
However... The woman responded with a confused tone, speaking another language none of the men could understand.
"Woah woah, slow down. What is that, Swedish?" the guy smirked as he approached closer.
"Uh... Gus, don't... I... I got a bad feeling about this" the man who got their attention in the first place, pointed out his suspicion, wondering why a naked young girl was out and about at night.
"Don't worry about it, I'll take her home"
"That's exactly my point..."
"Shouldn't we call the authorities? She looks lost" the African American worker suggested they'd call the cops, even he had some sick feeling something about the woman wasn't right.
"Listen sweetheart, bet you're one of em Swedish stewardesses, lemme give you a private lesson in foreign relations, huh?" the man pushed his luck by extending his hand out... Not expecting the girl to react the opposite way.
The girl grabbed the man's two fingers with inhuman speed that seemingly looked like a blur motioned around her hand and arm for a moment as she began to squeeze while speaking her native language, seemingly scolding him.
She crushed the man's index and middle finger with no effort put into it, like crushing two scrunchy balls in a person's hand to make noise that cats and dogs play with.
The crack was loud enough that it concerned his two buddies before he yelped out in immense pain, seeing his now two mangled fingers, completely fractured and broken in half.
"Hey, lady!" the Caucasian man behind Gus from earlier, began to approach the woman in attempt to keep her calm, though he carried a tool that looked dangerous. "Gus might be a jerk, but there was no need to hurt him like-" The girl then palm stroke the man in the chest with immense speed, sending him flying toward a bunch of crates, dropping the weapon in his hand where he once stood. Again speaking her own language.
"Listen l-lady, I-I had nothing to do with them" the last man standing spoke, fearing for his life as the woman grabbed the tool, and began to bend it in half with ease as the metal screeched out, seemingly intimidating the man even more.
"Here... Here" he began to take off his coat and handed it over to the naked woman, fearing for his life if she went for him next. "T-Take my coat... It's g-gotta be worth two, four hundred dollars!" he closed his eyes as the woman began to put on the coat and seemingly began to run off. "Please don't hurt me... Please don't hurt me" he begged, opening his eyes to see that she was gone.
His heart was beating rapidly before it calmed down after a minute, looking over to check on his friend as the man with the broken fingers gasped at the figure now standing before them.
"Tell me what happened"
* *
"This is no use... We'll never find her" Y/N groaned, overlooking the streets below as police sirens wail out not far from him.
"We should look somewhere else, no use on searching here for the last five-to-seven minutes" Glace suggested.
"That's what I was thinking" he agreed. "Gonna check on Bats, see if he's found anything, do your magic Glace" Y/N ordered. Glace manually turned Y/N's communicator on upon the idea of checking up on Batman. "Bats, you found anything? I'm taking another point to search".
"I've found information, and on pursuit now" the gruffly responded.
"Wait, you have?! Where?" Y/N began to sprint toward the edge of the roof before jumping off and triple jumping toward the other side.
"Near the church building, West side, not far from you" he replied.
Y/N turned to look toward the church, gothic building with the gargoyle like mounts on each side with the spikes at the edge of the building itself. "Got it, heading there now" he replied before Glace channeled out the comms with her Guardian making his way over.
"So that's why the authorities were near us *garble* they must've received a call about the girl" Glace pondered.
The Guardian jumped a big gap between him and a building, using his triple jump to save him from falling toward the ground beneath him, barely making it as he pulled himself up. "Should've took the other route".
The building wasn't far as he then heard gunshots ringing out, firing at what appeared to be a floating girl who was spinning out of control, gracefully floating up with unease up toward the building Batman had mentioned earlier.
"And that's the girl... And she can fly? Great".
Wasting no opportunity, he brought out a grappling hook that Batman had given him to give the Hunter some more mobility when travelling around Gotham, using it to reach a higher rooftop on the building ahead, seemingly rushing over to where the girl was getting shot at.
"And she's invulnerable. Be careful Guardian" Glace reminded him, with him acknowledging his Ghost's warning as he approached the edge of the building.
The floating girl, now wearing a coat with bullet holes in them, collided with the wall, floating up the wall of the building till she felt one of the perches to climb on, stopping herself from floating uncontrollably before lying on top of it, looking down at the city below in fear.
"There she is!" Glace called out to her Guardian, as he looked up and saw her on the perch. "She looks frightened".
"Can't blame her" Y/N replied as the young looking girl then noticed the Guardian on the rooftop of the building ahead, making eye contact with the hooded Guardian.
The girl's eyes slightly bulged in a mix of fear and... Hope? Y/N's eyes also widened a little, seemingly recognizing something about the girl...
Had he seen her in one of those strange dreams or... The strange vision he recently had with that Shard of Light upon it reacting to his Light back at the Batcave weeks ago?
"Wait... Why does she look... Familiar?" Y/N asked himself before gunshots wringed out again, spooking the girl while he got distracted. "Damn Authorities. They always shoot first, then ask questions, don't they?!".
"Guardian... She's climbing" Glace turned Y/N's attention to the girl who was scaling and climbing up the building.
"Bats! She's climbing up the church!"
The citizens and police down below watched on as the strange girl scaled the wall of the building, a few cops pointing their guns at the woman, ready to fire once again as Y/N began to make his way for the church gothic looking building.
The girl looked down, noticing that the hooded male was gone, before looking back up to where she was climbing... Noticing a man in a cape and cowl with pointy bat ears looking down at her with an unemotional looking expression.
"Enough!" Batman's tone intimidated the girl as she uneasily lost her grip on the edge of the building, for Batman managed to grab her by the wrist and pull her up, where she used both her feet and pushed him with force, sending him flying across the rooftop before he collided with the edge.
"Bats!" the girl heard another voice call out, the same hooded male that she saw earlier had jumped his way up to the rooftop and checked on who she thought was this... Scary man's partner.
Batman groaned slightly, as Y/N checked on him before noticing the same girl looking at him, with being noticed, she instantly made a break for it.
"Hey, wait! Come back! I just want to talk!" Y/N shouted after her, giving chase, using a portion of his Arc Light to increase his sprint speed to catch up. "I just want to talk! I'm not gonna hurt you!".
His pleas fell on deaf ears as the girl couldn't understand what he was talking about, not knowing what language he spoke before trying to jump for the side stairs on the apartment building ahead, before she began to cry out in fear as she began to float up.
"Annnd there she goes again" Glace spoke with un-amusement in her tone.
"She gonna collide with that automated vehicle!"
Y/N could only stare at the girl floating upwards toward the automated GCPD blimp that were recently used for detect criminal activity on the streets.
The girl's continued cries would stop upon colliding with the blimp, going right through it with immense strength as the blimp caught fire and began to set off a chain reaction of explosions, with her imminent figure falling down from the sky like a comet, leaving a trail of smoke after her which gave her position away to where she'd land.
"Well... Can't save a blimp from falling onto the city, gotta get the girl".
"We won't have to save the blimp" Glace touched on the subject as a blue and red figure soared through the sky. "Looks like he's got it covered"
"He sure arrived in the nick of time" the Guardian smiled before running off for the girl.
The Man of Steel flew himself in front of the blimp that was in the midst of crashing down upon the innocents below, carefully slowing the velocity of the blimp down as the innocents below ran away in fear of the behemoth of a vehicle descending down in flames.
With an exert of effort put into the blimp, Superman carefully began guiding the flaming blimp out of the city with his cape rustling behind him, using his super strength to force it toward safe waters outside the city, to cool off the flames of the now ruined blimp.

Y/N cautiously made his way inside the building after tracking down smoke tracks that Glace could detect, even though the tracks had disappeared visibly, but not for Glace.
He entered through the building quietly where he now heard quiet sobs coming from the girl, finding her with her knees up to her face, rocking back and fourth, repeating something in her native language.
"There she is" Glace whispered, with only Y/N hearing her voice.
"And scared for her life" he added to Glace's words, his voice startling the girl as she now looked at him, fear in her eyes.
Not only scared... But she looked completely distraught, lost... No where to go and not having a clue where she is.
A/N: [ ] for translated from Kryptonese to English...
"[S-Stay back! Get away from me!]" the girl cowered before him, scooting herself back a little away from the Guardian as he froze into place, she knew he was armed like the policemen, wielding a different type of gun in his mechanical holster.
"Wait... If she's Kryptonian, she's speaking Kryptonese!" Glace excitedly blurted out, remembering she studied Kryptonian language when Superman brought Y/N to the Fortress of Solitude, where they've transmatted to multiple times thanks to a transmat beacon he placed down. "I can communicate with her! To show that we mean no harm".
"You certain?" Y/N asked, the girl thought he was crazy as he seemingly asked the air.
"She told us to stay back *garble* but don't worry" Glace then revealed herself from behind the Guardian, slowly making her presence known to the scared, lost girl. "We can change that" the Ghost added.
The girl saw the little mechanical sentient little drone that appeared from behind the hooded male, her uneasiness still there but seemingly calming down upon noticing the hooded man pull down his hood and showing his... Rather handsome face according to her already.
"Uh... [Hello there! We're sorry we scared you *garble* my Guardian can be... Scary at times but we're not here to inflict harm or anything, we just want to talk]" Glace spoke in Kryptonese to the girl, who's facial expression changed from scared, to surprised.
"[You... You speak Kryptonese?]" the girl asked Glace.
"[I recently learned to do so, but we don't mean to scare you or anything else, and judging from how your body is reacting? You're scared and confused, but just know you can trust us, we're here to provide help]" Glace proceeded to continue as Y/N watched and lowered himself to her eye level, showing he was friendly.
"[W-Where am I? What... Planet is this?]" she then asked, curling herself up a little as she shook.
"[You're on Earth, populated by many species, but the Earth's native species are called, Humans, who speak in many different languages and come in many different cultures and places]"
"[Earth...]" the girl seemed puzzled.
"[Do you remember anything before making it here to Earth? You seemingly crashed into the Gotham Bay and we saw you hijacking a boat, but do you remember anything from before all that?]" Glace then popped the question, which puzzled the girl even more.
"[I... I don't remember much... All I remember is... I was rocketed off from Krypton, told that my baby cousin Kal-El would also be rocketed off as well, it was my father Zor-El who gave me the mission to protect baby Kal... Everything else has been a blur]" the girl explained, looking saddened as she felt her eyes water a little.
"Wait, did she say Kal-El? As in Superman, Kal-El?" Y/N questioned Glace.
"I believe so" she answered.
"[Your handsome caretaker spoke like he knows him?! Is Kal alive?!]" the girl's expression changed to a brighter more hopeful expression as they both saw her expression change.
"She sounds cute, for an angel that fell from the sky, not going to lie about that" Y/N complimented the girl.
"[Yes... We know him and he is alive and well... But he's not a baby if that's what you were hoping for]" she brought the news to her, her bright expression toned down upon hearing what Glace had added after confirming his status. "[But... My Guardian here called you... Cute and an angel if that kinda cheers up the mood a little]" Glace added on which did the trick to enlighten the girl's expression.
Her cheeks flushed a little red as she looked away with a small smile, which the Guardian caught onto.
"Why is she... Blushing?" the Guardian sounded uneasy, knowing Glace said something that he didn't like.
"Oh? *garble* I told her that you called her cute and the fact you also called her an angel" if the Ghost had a mouth, she'd smirk as her Guardian looked like he was about to blow a gasket on his Ghost. "Before you get mad at me *garble* she called you handsome".
"Oh..." it was Y/N's turn to blush a little. "Heh... That's nice of her" he began to smile a little as the girl looked back at the two with a little puzzled look. "Ask for her name".
"[Sorry about that, he doesn't speak Kryptonese]" Glace issued an apology, the girl smiled in return. "[Can you tell us your name? And we can bring you to Kal, and we can tell you ours]" Glace then asked, the duo never asked for her name the first time, offering to tell their names in return as a sign of trust.
"[It's Kara Zor-El] the girl exchanged her name, starting to trust the little Light and the Guardian as he moved a little closer to her.
"Kara Zor-El? That's her name? I understood that part".
"[My name is Glace, and this my Guardian, Y/N. Or you can call him Zain if you like. It's a pleasure to meet you!] Glace exchanged happily, seeing progress of trust being built up.
The girl's face brightened up upon knowing their names, before she started to feel a strange sense of nausea, with green veins showing within her face as she then passed out, startling the Lightbearer and his Ghost.
"What... Just happened?" Glace asked herself as a figure then walked past Y/N, with the Guardian's expression frowning.
"You".
"You let your guard down, she could've sprang an attack at any moment" Batman put away the Kryptonite, now seeing that the girl was unconscious. "She's already caused enough collateral damage as it is".
"We had it under control, Bats!" Y/N got up and scolded the Bat. "We were building up trust!".
"And she could've used that to her advantage" Batman sternly replied, as Glace floated back toward her Guardian, seemingly also annoyed with Batman's action.
Y/N on the other hand, sighed at Batman's reply as they both now stood over the girl, now identified as Kara Zor-El. "So... What do we do now, O' Detective Mine?" he asked with a tone of annoyance.
"We'll take her back to the Batcave for analysis, where it's a little safer other than out here. I'll inform Superman along the way about the girl".
'Yeah... She has a name, Bruce' the Hunter spoke with his head voice as they look down at Kara...
