Think of them as small lore drops on the pieces of armor and weapons we get in Destiny 1 and 2 overall, Bungie does put lore in certain armors and weapons in the game, even the ships, sparrows and Ghost shells along with the Seasonal Artifacts.

You might end up getting some small chapters then and there for this story, like I said... They're kinda like small lore drops in a way, scrolling over a piece of armor or a weapon and bam! There's a lore card on the armor or weapon you can read.

I've yet to make a custom look for... Well... You, the male reader or if you've took a different name, or whoever is reading this book for your overall appearance.

Today was the day...

The first date...

Kara was currently feeling a sense of nervousness about it all, alone she asked Y/N out to a date and this was her first ever date, she planned the date out with Cassie and alone, the blonde Demi-Goddess was encouraging Kara about it all... She knew how nerve-wracking the first date can be and this was Kara's first ever one... With someone she had feelings open for.

"Eh... No" Kara was deciding on what dress she could wear to quote on quote... 'Impress' Y/N according to Cassie, but Supergirl alone knew from Y/N that couples going on dates aren't exactly a thing in his world.

"Really though?" Cassie held the sky blue dress up again. "It looks cute, and we both know it's your favorite color too".

"I suppose so but... It doesn't exactly fit into my plans with our first date... It's on a rooftop, Cassie... Not exactly gonna wear a dress when we're not in public" Kara made her point on the matter.

"Still" Cassie held her hand up. "You want to impress him, don't you?" she asked as Kara sighed.

It was a good thing Y/N wasn't around the now, currently he was with the JSA, helping them out on something Taken related, he's mentioned working alongside Power Girl on a matter alone that she needed his help on which was saying a lot.

It's fair to say that Power Girl and Supergirl are practically the same person in some form, one's from another Earth and the other? Is from this Earth alone... Y/N admires Power Girl's whole optimistic view on power and confidence as she embodies both.

Karen in a way acts as Kara's older sister in certain situations from the time they both interacted, Kara even got a little jealous when Karen was interested in Y/N, he thought it was his charm, though it could be anything at this point.

Nonetheless... She didn't have time to look for romance, she wasn't interested in it right now and if even by chance she was? She knew she wouldn't be with the likes of Y/N... However? She did mention he reminded her of her own version of him... Whatever that meant.

Kara looked down to her self, seeing the S on her crop top and her skirt's belt, the skirt with the shorts underneath, the same S pattered in the middle of the belt as she flaunted her cape a little. "Can't I just be in my attire for this? We're not exactly gonna be in public so..." she shrugged at the end of her sentence.

"I mean... If you want to be..." Cassie shrugged also, with her expression turning a little sad. "I just wanted to help... That's all".

"And you are!" Kara approached Cassie with open arms, hugging her friend. "Girl... Even if by slight chance he wants to go out in public after our dinner date, I might slap on that dress, or even the yellow one I bought months ago I've yet to wear" she looked at her opened wardrobe of clothing, thinking to herself.

"So I am helping?" she asked.

"Yeah!" Kara pulled back, making Cassie smile again. "I didn't mean to make you feel horrible there, I guess I'm just... A little nervous. You helping me is relieving that".

"Good" Cassie nodded. "Being nervous is a good thing... Got butterflies?".

"In my stomach? Yeah... A lot, never exactly felt this way..." she admitted.

"Because you like him" Cassie interjected. "I was like that with Conner, it happens... Still can't believe I was right about you liking Y/N, I thought you'd chose the new hunk of a boy over him to be honest".

"Who? Power Boy?" Kara cringed at the thought. "No thanks! He's not my type, as much as he tries to make me like him... He can be too cocky for my tastes and Y/N? Well he's... More different than any other guy out there, has a cute little buddy that helps him...".

"And he's from a different universe? Where it's all dystopian and -"

"Adventurous!" Kara interjected. "Sorry" the girl giggled afterwards, before Cassie joined in the giggling.

"I do admit... His world does seem... Adventurous, I often wonder how he ended up here, he's never told us at all" Cassie thought out loudly.

"Oh, he's told me" Kara crossed her arms with a smug look.

"Of course he did" Cassie rolled her eyes.

"I promise to tell you later about it, right now? I could use your help to set up everything else at the date's location".

"Be glad to help you with that!".

*Hours Later*

Y/N jumped on down, holstering his hand cannon to regroup with Mr Terrific. "Found anything?" he asked as he rejoined him.

"All but these drawings and scripts on these walls" Terrific responded. "It's remarkable but I wonder who did all this".

"I'm wondering the same still... We had something like this in my universe... On the planet, Nessus" Y/N explained. "Was on the trail of finding.... Aya..." he felt a cold chill up his spine, knowing she was gone now before sighing. "And well... It led me to finding one of these types of hidden rooms, last one I found with Supergirl had an artifact stored within, there's bound to be more rooms like these, keep me informed of anything like these" he continued as he felt a presence behind him who originally went with him to scout ahead for anymore trouble.

"We will for sure, don't worry. The JSA's got your back, as long as you have our back" a familiar voice said behind the Guardian, opting him to turn round to face her.

"I know... Thanks PG" the Guardian gave her a smile as she gave him a sweet smile in return.

"No problem, if it were up to me? I'd suggest having you be apart of the JSA, you've got the spirit after all" Power Girl gently patted the Guardian's shoulder. "You saved my ass out there".

"And I'd do it again for someone as cute as you" he smirked before his Ghost made a chirping noise as to clear her voice.

"Forgetting something?".

"Oh... Yeah, sorry... You uh-".

"It's okay" Power Girl interjected. "We both do look-alike and sound-alike... Considering that we're both pretty much the same person" referring to Supergirl, Karen blushed slightly again at his comment earlier. "Overall... I do hope you're date goes well though" she walked past him, giving him a gentle pat on the shoulder.

"What?" he looked completely taken aback. "How'd you know about... That?".

"News spreads quickly in the Superhero Community, glad my counterpart from here found someone like you" Power Girl smiled. "You remind me a lot of my Y/N" she gave him a smile though there was a little pain behind it... She misses him... A lot and would do anything to see him again.

"Your? Oh... Yeah" the Guardian looked away with awkwardness. "Sorry to hear that".

"It's alright... I got the JSA, they keep me going" she gave Terrific a smile before looking back at Y/N and Glace. "We're also finding a way to get you back home too, along with perhaps finding a way to keep contact as well, the JSA have took in what you said months ago" she cared to elaborate. "That 'this world needs Guardians', judging from how you've been helping with this? It's fair to say we do need all the help we can get, if these markings on the walls are predicting something".

"Thank you both" he gave them each a smile before his communicator buzzed, taking it out his spare pocket as text then illuminated his eyes.

"Placed one of those transmat thingies you use to travel with point to point, I'm waiting, XOXO ❤

"Oh shit... The date!" his eyes sprung wide open as he placed his device away. "I uh... I gotta go".

"Go, enjoy your date!" Power Girl encouraged as the Guardian and Ghost soon vanished out of sight...

"You were leading him on, weren't you?" Terrific asked Karen who scoffed at his question.

"Me? Nope, he's happy with my counterpart, wouldn't have it any other way" she placed a fist on her hip. "Let's get topside".

"I'm here!!" Y/N suddenly transmatted into view, walking in form. "Sorry I took some time to respond, I was with-" he suddenly stopped himself from speaking more as he laid eyes on the view of New York City within the distance. "-The JSA..." He took in the view quite literally as the city sparkled with lights in the distance.

"Well... Isn't this interesting?" Glace pointed out an interested tone. "There's a table, the city in view, flowers, candles..."

"Did Kara really... Do all this for our first date?" he questioned as he chuckled.

"That I did" Kara suddenly spoke out, her voice coming from the sky as her cape and skirt blew through the soft wind as her hair billowed like a golden cape, still in her attire as she levitated there. "But I did have a little bit of help though, Cassie helped" she remarked with a huge smile.

"I... I did not imagine this would be our uh... First... Date" he expressed a form of joy, Kara had planned all this as he thought it would just be a normal romantic first date.

"Thought I'd try this instead... You like it?" she asked as Y/N took it all in...

"It's... It's perfect" he smiled as he approached the table, Supergirl soon touched the ground with a bag in her hand, a bag of food seemingly. "The view, the setting... And well... You're still in costume which 

"Bought dinner from Auckland, New Zealand" she carefully placed the dinner on the table, taking it out the bag, the food were in takeaway wrappers. "Burgers... Apparently the best burgers on Earth right now, at least from New Zealand".

"Oh? Burgers? Never tried one yet" he shrugged as he sat on the chair. Kara had a feeling he hadn't tried one yet which set her plan perfectly as she smiled brightly.

"Great! Had a feeling you hadn't yet" Kara sat herself down on the chair next, opposite Y/N as she placed the food on each plate. "Do you not have burgers on your Earth?".

"I can answer" Glace spoke up. "Uh... Nope".

"What?!"

"I know... Wish we had these types of food... But when I do get back? I'll hit up some shops and give em some recipes from here, y'know? Give em some new ideas and such" Y/N suggested.

Kara set down the drinks next, both a Soda for each, both lemonade. "Let's enjoy this before it gets cold".

"Though you can literally heat it back up with your laser eyes?" he smirked before biting into his burger.

"Good point..." she smirked before biting into her burger. "Sowhathaveyoubeenuptotoday?"

"What?" Y/N laughed. "I can't understand you when you have a mouthful".

A little cute noise escaped Kara as she gulped down the food within her mouth. "Sorry, what have you been up to today?" she repeated her words like a parrot.

"Oh, right. Was with the JSA, at least Mr Terrific and Power Girl, we found another one of those secret chambers you call them".

"Really?!" Kara almost jumped out of her seat. "Where?".

"Gulf of New Mexico, the chamber was defended by the Taken, they were... Erratic this time, the last time they were? They had no leader, after I put down both Oryx and his successor, Malok". he explained.

"Didn't that big Hive guy mention something about a 'Taken Queen'?" Supergirl pondered to Y/N, taking a sip out of the straw of her drink next.

"Nokris?" he asked, Kara nodded. "Yeah... Those weren't this 'Taken Queen's' Taken, they were old Taken, they beared the mark of Oryx believe it or not".

"Sounds troubling" Kara showed worry before softening her expression. "Sorry, this doesn't sound romantic at all..."

"Hey, it's fine" he extended his hand out to reach for Kara's, the girl saw this and took his hand in hers, letting him feel her warm hand. "It doesn't bother me" he smiled.

Kara smiled back at him, lifting her spirits as she witnessed Y/N taking a bite out of his meal again.

The couple were quiet for a minute or two, enjoying their dinner as Y/N made a noise of enjoyment from the food Kara bought. "Out of everything I've eaten? This?" he pointed at the burger in his hand. "Is gotta be the best thing I've ever tasted".

"Better than ramen?" she smiled with her question.

"Than spicy ramen?! Oh... That's a tough call to make" he wasn't sure what to pick as he took a bite into his burger once more.

The couple kept enjoying their meal, whether they'd burst into laughter together and listen deeply into everything they had to tell each other, whether it was adventures, tales or anything else in general.

Kara never kept her eyes off of him, even when listening into what he was saying? She soon felt that nerve-wracking feeling disappear as time went on, as she felt something else stirring up in her.

She felt as if it would be early to even say it, to say that she loves him and it's only the first date! She likes him that way but... Was it too early to say it?

'Is it too early to even tell him?' she thought. 'To say I love him?' her mind battled the thoughts, at the same time? She didn't want to rush this relationship at all... She at least wanted to wait till perhaps the second date...

Whenever that would be...

But right now? This is the first date... Her first ever date with the person she's bonded with since her arrival to Earth.

"Y'know?" Y/N suddenly spoke. "Having moments like these? It... It actually feels rewarding in a way... Usually I'd still be knee deep in patrolling around Sol, looking at reports, sharpening my knife and finding lost Fireteams every day and night. But this world? This Earth? It feels... Like freedom, it's not like the Last City but... I reckon this is what the Pre-Golden Age looked like, it feels so... Complete" he looked out at the view of the city, taking it in as Supergirl listened in. "And I know, there's bad apples about this Earth and all that but... To be honest? All of you are the most interesting folks I've ever met, you get to choose the way you want to live... Me? Other Guardians? Sorry if I offend you Glace but... We don't have a choice, Guardians don't have a choice to live the way they want much, and not all Guardians are necessarily good, remind me to tell you more about the Dark Age and Guardians that were corrupted by greed, power and Darkness. When I first arrived here, Kara? I hated it, it didn't feel the same, it felt... Odd and bland, strange. I'd only come out when Taken threatened this Earth, but then? You entered, you changed my perspective, my... Overall feelings about this Earth, you were so interested yet... In a way? You felt homesick... Like I did, being a Guardian ain't easy, losing people? It's hard, but when you wanted to know about Cayde? About the Guardians? I felt a sense of comfort, which honestly?" he grasped Kara's hand tightly. "I haven't felt this happy... In a long time since losing... Well... Y'know? I'm just glad that I... Managed to find someone again, someone to... Feel happy with again, that person being... You".

Supergirl wasn't sure what to say, only a smile crept up her face as she her eyes itch for just a moment, blinking a few times to hold back tears... She asked why she was feeling tears in her eyes?

Maybe it was a sense of a comforting feeling of safety, of joy, never thinking she'd actually find the right person to bond with, a human? She really fell for a human? Who's isn't just special because he was given a second chance at life, revived from the dead by a singular smart and intelligent life form from a God, he was special to her because he had this compassionate heart, this sense of optimism in the worst of situations, no doubt he got it from Cayde-6.

Kara's smile deepened as she lightly chuckled, looking down for one moment before looking back up at him. "This is why I love you" she said out of the blue, saying it with her chest out since she meant it.

The surprise on Y/N's face next said it all, seeming to be an overwhelming experience, in a good way. As Glace entered the fray.

"Did you just say that you love my Guardian?" she asked innocently, almost like she was being defensive as Kara giggled.

"Yes... Yes I did, and I ain't taking it back" she put her foot down on it.

"Y-You love me? I..." he stumbled on his words. "We-We haven't exactly... Kissed yet...".

"Did I say it too early?" she began to regret it judging from his facial expression before he softened it.

"No-No-No. It's not too early, I mean... I just... Wow... It was just... Unexpected, in a good way of course" he nodded, relieving the Girl of Steel of any doubts.

"Thank Rao, I thought it was" she chuckled nervously. "And I know we haven't gotten to that point yet..." she pointed at her lips before his before blushing. "I just thought maybe... You needed to know that I do... Love you" she smiled brightly again, all cheery, as a cute expression fell upon her face which could make millions to like her if she was an actress.

"Well if that's the case?" he smirked... "I love you too" he smiled.

"Great!" the Girl of Steel sighed a relived breath, heart fluttering like a gust of wind picking up her cape and hair. "That makes both of us".

"See, after this? Wanna... Take a walk through the city?" he suggested, making Kara pucker her lips at his question before grinning cutely.

"I'd love to! I've got a dress I haven't worn yet, I'll fly us back after this!" she got out her seat to approach and tackle him into a hug gently, making sure he didn't fall over on his chair. "And thank you, that was so sweet of you" she pecked him on the cheek before digging her face into his shoulder, feeling his hands on her cape resting onto her back with the lean in hug.

"Anytime Kara, I'd say it again if I have to" he smiled, feeling Supergirl's comforting warmth as Glace soon vanished, leaving Y/N with Kara alone, allowing them to enjoy the moment.
