Currently in Earth's orbit, Y/N sat in his Javelin, after going on a patrol around New York and a few other cities on Earth. Now writing in his journal book that he had kept with him for a while.

Since he had arrived to this Earth, he had been keeping track of the days and months he's been stuck on this Earth, now currently?

It's only been seven months now...

While he kept writing, Glace kept an eye out on any comms chatter that required their help, even tuning into comms channels they hadn't had access too... Pre-Golden Age like tech was easy to hack into... Even the World's Greatest Detective's Bat-Computer was easy to hack into for Glace.

However... This morning was rather peaceful, not much trouble to stop or prevent, no reports from any sources detailing the Hive and/or Taken, which their presence alone or any mention of them was kept out of any public eyes and ears to prevent panic and chaos due to new invaders on Earth, from a completely different dystopian universe of Light and Dark, clashing with war at one another.

"Glace" Y/N perked up at his Ghost. "Any news?" he asked kindly.

"Nothing yet" the kind Ghost chirped her response, as a sigh escaped.

"Hmm... Seems to be a lot more bland these last few days, think the victory over the Hive and Taken must've struck a blow".

"I doubt it" Glace interjected. "There weren't many Hive or Taken within those defenses within that monument in the country, Scotland" she pointed out.

"That still bothers me too" Y/N agreed. "Why most of the defense outside? But not much within the inside?" he scratched his chin with the pen, Kara had given him after he lost his a few days ago.

"Hmm" the Ghost hummed" Guess we'll find out soon enough".

Y/N nodded in agreement before continuing to write in his journal, finishing off the sentence of his new found... Emotionally attached person he's came to have been close with, that being Supergirl, Kara Zor-El.

"Even writing that into your journal?" Glace questioned.

"Of course... How else would I have anyone believe me about this Earth when I get back home" he deadpanned before writing again.

"You do realize that when we do get back home... You'll be leaving her behind too, right?" Glace spoke truthfully, Y/N suddenly felt his heart sink thinking about it.

In truth? In the last two days since Kara confessed her feelings for him, the two were nothing but almost inseparable, Y/N who finally got some sleep after a few weeks, was woken up yesterday by Kara straddling him with her goofy smile, before saying 'good morning handsome' as he'd feel her peck his cheek for the first time since all those months ago.

It was questioned when the kiss would be lip to lip contact, but Supergirl made sure that it wouldn't happen just yet, not until the perfect moment... Whenever that would be since she took Kal's advice on taking it slow, eventually it will happen.

He knew Kara was happy and jolly about the date on the Friday coming up, usually she isn't this confident about something, it was rare to see her this confident for a change and in return? It made Y/N happy... Although he felt nervous about it.

"Yeah..." Y/N admits with a saddened expression. "But I just hope something can be worked out, to establish communication between our world and hers".

"You think the League would allow it?" Glace asked a good question, sprouting out the saddened expression on Y/N's face which turned into a frown.

"It's not their call" he responded gruffly. "It's this Earth's Government that makes the call, this world needs Guardians, it needs us... They don't even know the threat at their doorstep yet because the League wants to keep it a secret".

"Should we warn them then?" the Ghost responded with a chirping sound near the end of her sentence.

"We should... But... They might respond... With wrong tactics".

"Eh... I guess that's one downside" Glace brushed off the conversation. "Oh, Kara's calling".

"Patch her in" he smiled at hearing her name being called out, soon the Ghost patched Supergirl through his private channel. "Hey there".

"Heyyy!" Kara replied, Y/N could tell she was smiling. "I saw the note you placed on my bedside table, thank you for that! You should've told me you cooked good".

"Ah, don't mention it" he grinned. "Just wanted you know that I had leftovers you might want, seems you enjoyed it".

"Oh that I did" she replied with a smile. "Hey? Is that you in orbit?" the Maiden of Might then asked with her zooming in with her telescopic vision.

"Uh..." he suddenly felt an urge creep up his spine, how did she know? "M-Maybe" he teased her nonetheless, as Kara on the other hand, picked up his voice from the communicator and with her super hearing.

"Hmm" a devious smirk fell across the Girl of Steel's face. "If that's the case...".

"What're you thinking?" he asked with an almost worried tone, knowing Kara? She'd pull a prank on him, like she did with Cassie last week. "Kara?"

He however... Got no response as the next thing he heard was a little tap on the window of his ship, from there? He could see Kara smiling like an idiot with her cape billowing behind her slowly due to being out of Earth's orbit.

"You mind opening the ship's door so I can come in, please?" she asked politely, Y/N rolled his eyes and turned to his Ghost.

"Glace...".

"On it" she responded with opening the door of the ship, thankfully? The device that was given to Y/N by Kara just last week to be able to maneuver outer space and orbit without any helmet, shielded him from the airless zone that is space itself. 

On his Earth? The planets alone were breathable and were sustained for human life due to the Traveler's influence through the microscopic level... Like a gardener planting a new seed of life.

Supergirl floated herself in before the doors closed after her entry, seeing Y/N already there made her smile brighter already before she approached and pecked him on the cheek.

"That was for this morning" she cooed and gave him a sweet smile that could make flowers rise from the ground, the same smile that he first saw yesterday upon waking up

"You sure are winsome" he complimented as Kara giggled at him.

"I try to be" she shrugged, still keeping her smile as she then eyed the pen that was in his hand. "Writing I see?" she pointed out with a cocked up eyebrow, smirking as she placed her hands on her cute shaped hips showing off with her midriff area exposed.

"Yeah, just my journal" he looked back at his journal that was left on his chair. "Was about to ask what you were up to before you... Flew on up here" he gestured.

"Oh? I was patrolling New York, tried to earn the cat's trust near our apartment, then flown to Metropolis. Kal needed help on taking down Parasite" she responded, listing off things with her finger.

"Been busy in that short amount of time?" he asked.

"Mhm" she nodded. "My cousin does say I'm faster at him when it comes to speed, so..." she shrugged with a smirk on her face. "I'm the fastest cousin".

"Don't gloat about it too much, might come off as being cocky".

"I won't, I promise" she winked, just as Glace came out from the cockpit, floating in front of the two. "Hey Glace" the Girl of Steel waved at Y/N's Ghost who issued a nod toward her.

"Hello Kara, sorry to disturb both of your conversation but... I just received word from, well... You're not going to believe this, but it was from Martian Manhunter-"

"J'onn?!" Y/N spat out with a surprised tone as Supergirl stepped forward, standing beside her date this Friday coming up. "What's the issue?".

"Well... Let's just say the League went to investigate a Hive infested cavern... Without telling us" Glace felt hesitant to say judging by her tone of voice, while Y/N stared blankly for a few seconds before sighing on the spot.

"What?! Why didn't they tell him?!" Kara asked while crossing her arms, an annoyed look on her face. "Actually, forget I asked, sounds dumb to ask knowing you don't have the answer" the girl brushed off her question, huffing afterwards.

"Where's this cave?" Y/N asked next.

"Outside the place called... North Carolina" she responded as Kara perked up.

"It's not a place, but a continent of America" Kara pointed out. "And I know where North Carolina is, I can take you" she offered to give Y/N a ride, giving him the news that she's going with too".

"You don't have to, Kara. J'onn pretty much asked me-"

"Well, actually" Glace interrupted. "He did say it would be best if we both didn't go alone".

Y/N slowly turned to Kara who had the goofiest smile on her face, a smile from ear to ear as he stared back at her as a smile crept up the Guardian's face.

"Alright" a quiet laugh ensued through Y/N. "I wouldn't have been able to resist the look on your face nonetheless".

"Should I call the Titans for back-up also?" Kara suggested, gaining a nod of approval.

"It would be wise to, just in case"...

10 Minutes Later

North Carolina, USA.

"It's pretty damp in here" Miss Martian complained, lifting up her blue cape as Supergirl done the same with her red and golden outlined cape. "My cape's getting wet".

The Titans had already made their way to the cave that Glace provided coordinates of, all thanks to Martian Manhunter reaching out to the Guardian for assistance, currently the group had been split up into two teams due to two entrances that could possibly lead to either of the lost League members identified as Green Arrow, Black Canary, Hawkgirl, Green Lantern/Hal Jordan and Blue Beetle themselves.

Or one of the entrances would lead them to a bunch of Hive... Which Glace pointed out as she detected some Hive activity down the entrance Y/N had taken, with Supergirl and Miss Martian as his backup. A small Fireteam he would call it.

"It's a cave" Y/N spoke back. "Why else wouldn't it not be damp, cold and dark?" he spoke from the front, his Ghost providing as the flashlight.

"At least the water isn't up to our knees and legs, M'gann" Supergirl looked back at her Martian friend of the Titans. "You and I are wearing... Skirts, well... Skorts at least" she corrected herself.

"I'm definitely changing from a skirt to pants soon" M'gann issued.

"Really?" Supergirl pouted. "We're twinning though".

"And maybe a shorter cape" M'gann then added.

"Ugh... This is why I don't like capes" Y/N then spoke out, gun still in front of him. "They seem to get in the way, stuck on things, weigh you down... No wonder why every Hunter asks me why I don't wear one".

"Your Earth's people wear capes too?" Miss Martian asked with a curious glint in her eye.

"Yep" confirmed the Guardian. "Mostly every Hunter wears a cape and cloak, there's Lord Saladin but that's a different story since he's a Titan".

"Capes are cool" Supergirl fangirled. levitating off the ground to avoid a puddle of cave water. "Especially when mine just flaps and billows around when I'm flying, when the wind picks it up or when it flows freely in space".

"Yeah" The Martian girl agreed. "But I can't believe you don't like capes, Y/N".

"Just aren't my thing" he responded truthfully. "I'd like a poncho, I blame Hawthorne for my liking of ponchos" he smiled thinking back of the refugee that saved his life after his Light was stripped away during the start of the Red War, having survived the Red Legion hunting party... He was dying from his injuries nonetheless.

"Is she a-?... Oh... Nevermind" the Martian stopped herself after reading Y/N's thoughts. "She sounds brave".

"And she's got a bird too" the Kryptonian added.

"Trust me, M'gann... She is " the Guardian smiled before his radar picked up activity ahead. "Picking up activity ahead, it's definitely Hive" he told the two girls.

"And I'm picking up Hive Magic readings... Could be a ritual" Glace spoke out, the darkened area now beginning to show light as Glace disappeared out of sight.

"There's... A lot of them" Supergirl checked with her x-ray vision. "And there's a portal too, it's activated but... Nothing's came out yet".

"Let's see what they're up to" Y/N suggested, the two alien girls nodded as they followed suit, into the light from the darker area of the cave.

The Guardian took cover near some rocks as he peeked around the corner, his eyes on a part of the grounds the Hive stood on below as both the alien girls hid themselves behind the rocks beside him.

Y/N then decided to look at the other half of the grounds, the portal was indeed activated, a portal from the Ascendant Plane most likely, his eyes then fell toward the two Wizards he ran into some weeks ago, the two Wizards Rhylathûn and Rûl Yucarû that were with that Champion Knight those weeks ago...

It was reported that they were spotted within the monument on Scotland where the Shard of Light were, battling the Justice League which they had injured quite many Leaguers, two of the most powerful Wizards within the Hive as of the now.

"You weren't wrong..." Y/N ducked down. "There's a lot of Hive... Probably too much for me to handle, I ain't like Saint-14, I bet if he'd be alive? He'd handle them all without a doubt".

Miss Martian then decided to take a look, scouting out the many Hive around the area as then her comms device then buzzed off.

"Titans, Guardian... You there?" Red Robin's voice called through the comms.

"Supergirl here, we all are" she spoke into her communicator. "Have you found them?" Supergirl then asked with a stern voice.

"Yep, but not all of them... Blue Beetle is missing" Robin spoke back. "Hal says he disappeared half way through the investigation, not sure if he's captured or went off in a different direction".

Just as Red Robin finished, Y/N caught the glimpse of Ted Kord simply sneaking past some Hive Acolytes and a few Ogres, trying to get a closer look to the portal.

"Found him" Y/N called out quietly. "He's tryna get closer to the portal, that idiot!".

"Portal?".

"We found a massive amount of Hive, including Rhylathûn and Rûl Yucarû, setting up a portal for someone's arrival it seems like" Supergirl answered Red Robins question. "Get here as soon as you can, Supergirl out".

"I'm gonna fetch Blue Beetle" M'gann issued.

"Do it quietly" Y/N ordered as the red haired alien nodded, phasing through the ground while leaving Supergirl and Y/N alone, together. "I'm surprised you pronounced their names correctly" he turned to the clad Girl of Steel.

"Hmm? Oh? Yeah" she softly chuckled. "Takes practice, after Glace taught me".

"That I did".

"Wait... Something's coming through" Supergirl's eyes focused onto the portal before laying on Miss Martian and Ted Kord, seemingly surprised that someone came to get him out of the area. "C'mon M'gann, hurry" she whispered loudly.

Before M'gann could communicate back telepathically to Supergirl, something came through the Hive portal, someone big... Unlike any other Wizard of the Hive...

M'gann forced Ted to duck into cover as the big Hive levitated on in, with red robe like features and boney structures, bigger than the two Wizard Sisters born from Cunning and Deceit alone. His head shape unique in a way unlike other Hive, chains attached under his arms as Hive architecture sprang on the cloth that hanged from his chest.

"Y/N... Who. Is. That?" Supergirl questioned, taking word between word as much to her shock, the look on Y/N's face said it all as he didn't look to pleased to see him.

"That's..."

"Nokris" he hissed, he never thought he'd see the disowned Son of the Taken King again, not since Mars when Nokris was a Herald of Xol, the weakest of the Worm Gods the Hive serve.

Nokris, Former Herald of Xol, Supplicant of the Taken Queen.

"Welcome... Nokris" Rûl Yucarû approached, bowing down while levitating in the air like any other Wizard does as Rhylathûn also bows in respect.

"The Taken Queen will be proud that interdimensional travel from Throne World to this universe? Is a success, you both have done her proud" Nokris responded with his raspy voice, approaching the two spawns of the Taken Queen.

"We have done what you have asked, let our bargain serve the Taken Queen's purpose of this world of Light and Dark" Rûl Yucarû issued, following behind Nokris as he looked at the army of Hive in front of him.

"Indeed, Rûl Yucarû. The Taken Queen saves. Freedom for bondage" he monologued, feeling the magic within his claws. "The plans are in motion, the Taken Queen knows that the Guardian is relentless, along with his new group of allies... Whether we fail or not? It is all part of the plan"

"The hell is he talking about?" Supergirl asked with confusion.

"I don't know, I don't like the sound of it" he replied, while looking down at Miss Martian with Ted Kord. "M'gann, get him up here, it's too dangerous" he spoke in his mind, hoping she'd hear him.

"On it" she replied telepathically, attempting to get the lost Leaguer out of the area before a screech ensued after a rock was accidentally kicked, directly at the Martian and the Human scientist.

"INTRUDERS!!!" Rhylathûn screeched just like the Wizard Omnigul, a spawn of Crota. Alerting every Hive within the area as the Necromancer and Spawn of Deceit took notice of the flying Martian holding a blue costumed man.

"Great" Y/N sighed as Supergirl floated down to the ground as Y/N jumped down, Ace of Spades in hand. "Defend yourselves!" he shouted as a fight ensued.

"Rhylathûn, Rûl Yucarû, the Taken Queen awaits us" the Necromancer caught his three eyes on the Guardian who began firing at the Hive, before his eye sight fell on the Necromancer himself.

"Nokris!"

"I remember you... Guardian, Believer of the Sky, until we meet again" he spoke ever so calmly and eerie before disappearing through the portal with the two sisters.

"Son of a bitch!" Y/N cursed out before getting shot in the back by a Hive Acolyte sniper, grunting in little pain as he fell to one knee.

"Y/N!!" he heard the distant cry of Supergirl, soaring toward him before taking out the surrounding Hive and the one who shot him. Rushing to check on him. "You're hurt-"

"I'm fine..." he grunted, soon healing up fast as he popped a curing grenade. "Just a flesh wound, Nokris got away that slippery bastard".

"And you tell me to be careful" she smirked before looking at the surrounding Hive.

"Supergirl! A little help would be nice!!" Miss Martian cried out.

"Maybe some now would be suffice, Ms Zor-El!" Ted Kord shouted out also.

The two soon got back into the fight, having each other's back as the pressuring Hive numbers would soon begin to overwhelm them, Y/N wondered if the Titans would get here sooner than later as a little backup would be nice.

"Let's do our special move" Supergirl suggested, as Y/N shook his head, while a Hive Ogre flew overhead from a mighty punch of the Girl of Steel. "There's way too many!"

"Our Sun and Burn move? In here? We're not outside, there's no sunlight" he shouted, stabbing a Thrall in the head as he shot at the Knights that rushed him.

"I'm a living... Solar battery!" she argued. "Just do it! I'll be fine!".

"If you insist" Y/N thought there was no reason not to do it other than Kara's intake of Solar energy, using his knife, performing a front flip before jamming the knife into the ground which the radius around him lit up with a radiant of Solar Light... Solar Light that empowered the Maiden of Might's power overall as she felt it flow within her.

"M'gann, Ted, get behind us!!" she soared through them all to save the two surrounded by their foes, clearing a path for them to get toward them as Supergirl still levitated in the air with her eyes beginning to glow fully red.

"Feel the burn, bitches" Y/N called out, as two red lasers fired out with immense heat, power and radius from the Kryptonian girl's eyes... Decimating every single poor Hive that stood within her reach, even ones that took higher grounds were still disintegrated by the scorching heat of Supergirl's heat vision as her cape billowed behind her like a fast wind. Her heat vision then focused onto the portal the Hive were using to travel in and out, completely evaporating with her empowered heat vision. 

The lasers soon stopped afterwards with the scorching smell of burned char and chitin leftovers from what used to be the Hive... The portal now turned into nothing but debre as the golden outlined, red caped superheroine floated on down with her family sigil facing toward the heroes and Guardian.

"See? Told ya I'd be fine" Supergirl gave a cocky smile, turning round to face them before seemingly stumbling and falling into Y/N's arms as he caught her.

"Ugh Kara, you idiot! I knew I shouldn't have listened to you" he set his hand cannon down as he tended to her. "You okay? Need water? Sunlight?" he asked an almost exhausted Supergirl, softly giggling in his ways. "Yes sunlight".

"Haha... I'm just kidding!" Y/N looked completely dumbfounded as a giggle escaped Miss Martian. "Though I do feel a little exhausted from that, overall I'm okay... Thank you very much" she smiled before kissing his cheek lightly.

"Oh... Darn it, I thought you were about to pass out!" he pouted before he turned to the other two. "You both alright?".

"All good here, thanks for the rescue, Guardian, girls" Kord showed his gratitude toward his rescuers. 

"You're welcome" Miss Martian took his thanks. "We should get topside... I'm starting to get the creeps of this place... And the smell is... Horrific" the Martian cringed at the smell of burning chitin and Worm flesh, already making her way out of the cave upon so.

"On that? I agree" Supergirl agreed, getting out of Y/N's embrace to stand up.

"Just don't scare me like that again, please" Y/N begged. "We've got a date in a few days".

"No promises" the blonde haired girl winked, picking up Y/N's gun for him and handed it over to him herself, giving him one more peck on the cheek for good measure. "C'mon!".

"How did I even score you?" he asked himself next, his hand held in hers...
