"Nandu woh the file which you gave me actually wohh.."manik stopped as he looked at the angry tigress he gulped down his saliva..

"Manik i dont have time for this,pls tell me what's the matter" she said angrily.

"Actually woh uss file ke kuch papers misplace hogaye hain" he finally blurted out the truth.

Nandini was very shocked to know the truth because that file was very important for the company.

"MANIK HAVE YOU LOST IT? how can you be so careless? That file was very important i've promised mr.arnav that he'll get that file in the evening" saying this she throws her phone on the coouch and sits on the chair clutching her hair.

"Nandu woh i'm sorryy woh main subah dad se takra gaya toh file neeche gir gayi aur pata nahi kaise woh paper,some of the paper got misplaced I tried finding them..but.." Nandini cuts him in between.

"MANIK LEAVE" she said throwing deadly glares at him.

"Nandu i promise i'll find them" manik tried to calm her down.

"Manikk jao yahan se,before i hurt you"

"Woh toh tum pehele hi kar chuki ho" saying this he left from there,his eyes were filled with tears,he never thought that his nandu,who used to make him smile in his tough times,who used to share everything with him,who used to play with him,who used to fight for him would ask him toh leave her..what has made her like that? She was not his nandu.

"Nandu I love you,kaash tum wohi purani nandu hoti jo meri aankhon main dekh ke mujhe samajh leti thi" he wiped his unshed tears and left from there.

Nandini's Cabin.

Nandini's pov
What I've done today,Manik he must be so hurt by my words..i never wanted to talk to him like that! I'm sorry manik,I'm sorry! Shall I go and apologize to him?

She was fighting with her inner thoughts when she hears a knock on the door..

"come In" nandini said in a cold voice.

Cabir enters in the cabin and asked "can i talk to you?" he asked "you've 5 minutes" she said putting her laptop aside.

"Ma'am i know i m just a mere employee here but ma'am you don't have any rights to hurt any of us like that you should give everyone a chance to rectify their mistakes" she cuts him in between "cabir lis..." " mere 5 minute abhi khatam nahi hue hain ma'am,and ma'am please next time don't shout at my friend warna main khud usse bolun ga yeh job resign karne ke liye and he won't refuse me and i know iss company ko aur aapko manik ki kitni zaroorat hai" saying this he kept a file on the table.

"What's that?" Nandini asked looking at the file.

"File which got misplaced me and manik found it and checked it together there aren't any mistakes ma'am" saying this cabir got up from his place to leave.

"Cabir" nandini called him.

"Yes ma'am" he repied with a staright face.

"You don't need to call me ma'am it's nandini for you" she smiled at which cabir rolled his eyes.

"Really nandini then why did you shout at him,you know na how sensitive he is?" Cabir lashed out at her.

"I know Cabir mujhe usse iss tarah baat nahi karna chahiye thi par he is being very careless now a days" she made sense.

"are par uska papite jaisa face nahi dekha jata mujhse you know na i'm his half wife" cabir stated dramtically.

"Cabir no more jokes please this is office,and i've alot of work to do so out of my cabin now" cabir rolled his eyes ate her "fine bye" saying this he left the place.

At Home

Manik was waiting for nandini at the main gate..

"Are you a watchman or what?" Cabir asked sarcastically and manik glared at him.

"Its 10 pm and she is still not home,doesn't she get bored of doing the same thing again and again?" He scrunched up his face.

"Nice question ask her,she is coming here only" cabir said when he saw nandini coming towards them.

Manik looked at the gate and saw nandu coming towards them his mouth curved into a smile!

"Tu toh naaraz tha pehle,aur ab usse taad rha hai not bad han" cabir teased.

"Han toh i'm still naaraz" he made a cute pout and folded his hands across his chest and turned to the other side.

Nandini comes towards them "manik why are you standing at the gate,are you a watchman? Stop looking at me like that and come inside" saying this she left and manik stamped his foot and followed her along with cabir.

Manik pov

Bhagwan ji zara toh daya khao like seriously usko koi farak nahi padta,main usse naraz hun and she is not even looking at me,whyy she's doing this i've promised myself that i will bring my old nandu back,but uske liye ek chance toh milna chahiye lagta hai ab nandu mujhse pyaar nahi karti,par main toh karta hun na everytime i see her i forget everything, everyone thinks that she's rude and heartless but i know she's hiding something i can see the pain in her eyes i can see that her smile don't reach her eyes but what's the matter pata kaise lagaunn?

His chain of thoughts were broken by his father.

"Manik beta kya sochh raha hai itni der se,tu sochta bhi hai pata nahi tha" his dad never leave a chance to tease him.😂

"Dad aapko nahi lagta aapko mujhse zyada khane pe focus karna chahiye" he said glaring at him.

"Zaroor zaroor par iss ghar ka teesra member kahan hai usse toh bula ke aa"

"Main nahi jaunga" he said angrily

"Main bule ke aata hun uncle" cabir went to call her."Nandini uncle tumhein dinner ke liye bula rhe hain" he asked her to come buttt.."aap log kha lijiye main baad main kha lungi" as usual she denied.

"Nandini i don't know what's bothering you but skipping your meals is definitely not a solution" he tried to make her understand after like a hundered attempts she agreed to have her dinner.

Everyone had their dinner silently and moved to their rooms.

Manik's room

Manik was.lying on the bed,sleep was faraway from his eyes.

"Aisa kya karun jisse nandu mujhe thodi si importance toh dene lage,looks like for her i don't even exist..she didn't even apologize for shouting at me so khadus" making a pissed face he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Next day
In office

Cabir barged in nandini's cabin and asked her"nandini manik kahan hai?" To which she replied"i didn't see him from.morning i thought he's with you where is he,he need to check these files and have to do some other works to,call him cabir and ask him to come to.office as soon as possible." She said while typing something on her laptop.

"I did but he is not picking up my calls!"
Cabir sounded worried..
