As Inferno flew through the mountains he called out to the rest of the winglet, "We're almost there follow me!", but to his surprise, most of the winglet was slacking behind him, only leaving himself by the sandy beach. Did they really leave me? All this for nothing-

"Guys he's over here! Hurry up Stargazer, I 'm starting to get hungry!" the Icewing yelled as he flew past a mountain, his icy blue eyes watching the water and it came in again and gain almost like he was eyeing it.

"How did you guys lose me, I thought you guys could keep up?" Inferno asked as Scorpion, Storm, and Sapphire landed on the vast desert, spraying each other with sand and shells. Stargazer and Maple were flying overhead,

Sapphire dove into the water, scattering it everywhere on the beach, the sudden rush of water hit Inferno, pushing him back sputtering water out of his mouth.

"Sorry. . ." she said as she watched the water sizzle off of Inferno. Gusts of wind came down from above, washing the water off of Inferno, making the Seawing fall back into the water,

"You guys ok? I'm sure Inferno's fine bu-"

"Were fine Nightwing, and don't ask that because I certainly don't care about you and your precious scales." Storm hissed at Star. Storm lifted himself up, "I'm going to hunt." Storm flew back north to the mountains, leaving the group of dragonets to stare at themselves,

"Don't let him get to you Star, he'll always be an Icewing, mean and cold and annoying. Just don't let it get to you, Star?" Maple looked over, and he looked back, his eyes darkening by the second.

Why does Storm hate him?

If anyone wanted to hate someone they would hate me,

I should give him a chance, Inferno thought but suddenly his mind spit back at him, but he is a Nightwing, mother said to not trust him. Liars, deceivers, he's just like all the others.

Inferno didn't know what he was thinking, he couldn't believe what he was thinking. After staring off into space, Inferno finally noticed what everyone else was doing: Sapphire eating lots of fish, Maple and Lotus talking to Stagazer, and Scorpion trying to hunt a lizard..

"Like Storm said, we need to hunt soon so we can eat and get to our next class soon, so I am going to the Rainforest for some fruit," Star said hesitating before adding, "If anyone wants to come they can."

"I'll stay." said Maple, "There isn't a lot of food I would prefer here, but I'm going to stay here and at least try to find something, but bring me back some fruit to try!" she said as Star was about to lift off.

"I'll come with you." added Lotus as they quickly lifted off into the air.
"I will wait for you back at the academy, it would not be a good idea for me to go in a highly burnable area."

"That's no fun," Maple said as she looked into his eyes, "You brought us here so we could hunt together, so stay here and hunt with Scorpion and I." she was so, what do you call it, bubbly. So cheerful, and exited, must of been all that time with her siblings... I wonder what it's like to have siblings. "Come on, were a winglet we're supposed to stick together anyway." Maple pleaded.

After some time and lots of hunting, the winglet all caught something and ate together, "So, how did you like hanging out with some of your winglet?" Maple asked quickly, Inferno was about to reply, when a dragon flew out of nowhere screaming, making Stargazer jump. "Something has happened we must get back to the Academy." The Dragon almost bumped into Inferno as she was frantically landing, and Maple dived so the dragon wouldn't get burnt. Maple landed with a thud as she hit the ground, getting up fast and spraying sand everywhere.

"What's going on!" asked Scorpion as he helped the Sandwing "Arid, are you ok, what's happening?" helping Arid up he dusted the sand off him, leaving his bright scales to himself. "Wait if something happened then-"

"We need to get back to Jade Mountain." Maple instantly got up, with Stargazer behind her, confused? Why would he be confused right now, we have to go! Storm shot up to the sky flying straight to the school, spraying sand everywhere, Lotus only behind him by seconds.

"Ah!" Stargazer shouted as sand sprayed into his eyes, knocking himself back he fell to the dusty sand. "Star!" yelled Maple as she stopped in her stacks watching him with concern, his eyes distant and hazy, his head pointed toward the stars, he sat unnerved and abnormally still. For those small moments the five dragonets stood with different emotions crossing their faces, Inferno with confusion, Sapphire sat in terror, Maple with concern, and Scorpion looking towards where Lotus and Storm flew off to, "Star?" Maple asked as he blinked away his daze rubbing his eyes with pain. What is going on it is just a bit of sand. It shouldn't hurt that much.

"What? We have to go, right?" Inferno waited for some reactions, or even for some affirmation but only receiving short nods he looked quizzically at them. "Are you ok? D-Did I do something?" He looked scarcely in Sapphire's eyes

"N-nothing, we just have to go that's all," Sapphire turned to the others in fear, "Come on, let's go." With that, she flew off into the horizon.
