Author's note: So I am combing chapters 23 and 24 since they both were very short chapters. I am making some changes but not anything that will greatly affect the plot. Well I am going to reveal something manor a little earlier than I planned but I feel like this will add some flavor to this chapter because I felt like it was kind of bland. I have some questions though. Are there any characters you guys want see in the future? I am heavily maxed out on OC's no more OC requests but I will take any requests for pokemon characters from the pokemon anime but I do have plans for more OC's in the future in this book about people who've made requests way back. I told them that they would be pit in later and they are okay with that. Jonathan's POV

"Where the heck have you been?!"

Shouted Lillian while carrying her luggage.

"My apparent passed away so I had to get away from the grief so I left for five years to get stronger so I could take my mind off of some things."

I said.

Lillian sighed.

"You could've at least told us where you were going."

Said Lillian.

"Here's Lady Hydra's office. I'll be waiting for you right here."

I said.

"That's all you have to say to me after five years?"

Asked Lillian.

"We'll talk after your meeting with Lady Hydra."

I said.

"Okay fine I'll let this go until the meeting is over than we can talk."

Said Lillian walking into Lady Hydra's office.

I stood there and sighed. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to say to her after five years! What did she expect me to say?! I stood there quietly and then I saw Cynthia walking up the stairs with Guzma, Thania, Calem, and Aracel.

"Cynthia be on your best behavior."

Said Guzma.

"When is she not?! She barely speaks!"

Said Thania

"What I mean by that is try to be social."

Said Guzma.

"Guzma she's shy. A lot has happened to her just give her a break."

Said Calem.

Cynthia looked up at me and I smiled. She looked very different from the last time I saw her. Her hair was short, and reached to her chin in thick natural curls. She looked even thinner than the last time I had seen her. She grey eyes looked like there was no life left on them. She looked sad. Guzma pat Cynthia on the back and smiled at her.

"I know you've been through a lot I can tell but want you to try to open up to other people you can't just hide behind Aracel and I all the time."

Said Guzma.

Cynthia nodded at Guzma and looked up at me.

"Have we met before?"

She asked softly.

"I've seen you before but I've never physically talked to you before."

I said.

She nodded and lightly smiled.

"Your eyes are tow different colors I just noticed that."

She said.

"Yeah not sure where I got it from but my mom had green eyes and my dad had red ones so I guess I inherited both eye colors."

I said.

"Yeah I guess... where did you say you were from?"

"Peniola Town in Alola. I came here at the age of twelve after I beat Alola's Pokemon league which is a requirement to become a battle brigade member."

I said.

"You specialize in ark types right?"

She asked.

"Yes I have a shiny umbreon as my partner. We've been together since I was ten years old."

I said.

"I'm guessing that you don't have a Pokemon as of right now."

I said.

"Yeah I don't...."

She said sadly.

I honestly felt sorry for her and I blamed Silas that little jerk is going to get a big beating when I see him. Especially after what he did to Ash, Lusamine and Serena. I don't like people who think it's okay to pick on the weak or just on people in general. If anything they're the weak ones. Picking on someone just because you're insecure is not right. I've never liked bullies. At least this jerk was nice to his Pokemon or otherwise I would have a major problem with him. I hated anyone who uses Pokemon just for their personal gain. I hated Neo Team Rocket who experimented on Pokemon and used them as experiments or as tools to hurt other people just so they can take over the world. I hated Team Shadow the most. Their name suits them. They hide in the shadows. I don't even think Lillian knows about these creeps. I hated their leader the most. Maxwell Mohn Aether. I despised the man and he happened to be Lusamine, Lillie, and Gladion's father. At least Mohn's brother Timothy wasn't bad. He ran the Pokelago back in Alola. He helped me heal my Umbreon when it was very sick. He let me call him big Tim because he was was a large man and he would laugh and playfukky slap me on the back. I saw a picture of him and his brother on the coffee table. His brother had piercing grey eyes, pale blonde hair, not as and as yellow and bright as Lucile's but about the same shade as Cynthia's. It was mind of curly, and he was tall and thin, while his brother had greenish grey eyes and he was short and stout and Timothy had golden blonde hair that was thick and messy. If you looked Maxwell you could tell that he was more sinister looking than his little brother Timothy who looked very friendly. I couldn't bare to tell Lusamine, Gladion, and Lillie that their father had purposefully faked his death and had Colress help him, not caring if his wife Lucile had died in the crash. I could tell them that he was Alive. I couldn't tell them that he was torturing innocent pokemon just so that he could summon the Ultra beasts so he could take over the world. I couldn't even bare to tell them that their mother Lucile was alive but is in an eternal nightmare because of darkrai and that Maxwell is trying to find a lunar wing so that he could wake Lucile up from her nightmare. I wish I could help Lucile. I wanted to return her home to her family. Then I was interrupted when Guzma tapped me on the shoulder interrupting my thoughts.

"Hey kid you alright?"

He asked while placing his right hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah sorry I space out like that sometimes."

I said.

He nodded and continued to speak.

"So Jonathan you're coming back home to the battle brigade right?"

Asked Guzma.

"Of course."

I said.

"Guzma say that you're strong."

Said Aracel.

"Well as a battle brigade member you have to be strong. You have to give winners of the pokemon league a true challenge."

I said.

"Interesting as a temporary member of Coordeleena's elite four I would like to test your strength sometime."

Said Thania.

"Fine. I accept your challenge."

I said.

Thania nodded and smiled.

"That's what I like to hear."

Said Thania.

"Cynthia some time when you're ready I can help you pick out a pokemon."

I said.

She looked down and shuffled her feet on the floor nervously. She finally looked up and nodded at me in agreement.

"We better get going and find our room arrangements."

Said Aracel.

"So Jonathan where's your room?"

Asked Calem.

"Its close to Elijah's room. Its my job to protect him from harm."

I said.

They nodded and waved goodbye. Cynthia shyly waved goodbye to me and walked back with Guzma, Aracel and the others so they could find their rooms. Even if she looked and acted different I still had a gigantic crush on her. There was something about her that appealed to me. Her soft blonde curls bobbed up and down as she walked passed me. She's still beautiful even with short curly hair. Man I had it really bad why do I feel this way?! I used to have a heart of steel. I'm six feet tall and I look intimidating which scares girls away. For some odd reason Cynthia isn't scared of me but she's scared of everyone else. I wonder why she's scared. I stood there trying to get Cynthia out of my head while waiting for my cue to come back into Lady Hydra's office to meet Lillian.

Lillian's POV

I sat in a small chair in front of lady Hydra's desk. Hydra was nineteen years old and she looked like a goddess. she was known to be the goddess of all dragon type Pokemon. Hydra was 5'10 and she had thick waist length wavy black hair, she had a large blue dragon tattoo on her left arm that snaked down and around her arm in a spiral like a slinky, on her right arm she had a tattoo of her family crest etched into right arm in thick balk ink, she had nice olive skin, she had on light make up that brought out her dark green eyes, she thick eyebrows that were as black as her hair and they had been shaped just perfectly. I secretly wanted to know where she had gotten here's done because I needed mine plucked very badly. Hydra had a few dark freckles sprinkled on the bridge of her nose, she had a slim waist, and dark forest green eyes as dark as pine trees. Hydra was wearing a black frilly tank, grey dresspants, black heels, he had a medallion with a dragon on it around her neck, and she had a mega ring on her right index finger and it was shaped like a dragon. Hydra looked like a model and I envied her for her nice curves and long legs. To be fare she was nineteen and technically an adult in the United Merica Isles which is where regions like Alola, Texica, Indium, Tenensia, Unova and fifty other regions known as the fifty states of the United Merica isles and I was still sixteen years old still considered a minor in any region you visit. In all of Aseio you weren't considered an adult until the age of twenty four. In the Euro Isles it was twenty one. While Hydraa had nice long legs I had short legs but a very thin waist which was a plus. It was one of the very few traits that I had inherited from my 'mother. My mother had a think waist and a beautiful hour glass figure. My sister Olive was envious of my curves because she had none, she was tall and lanky, had a small chest and curves. If it weren't for her height and her amazing make up skills she would look like an eleven year old girl. Despite not having any curves and having a small chest Olive was still gorgeous. I envied her for her big blue eyes that had small but light green flecks that made her eyes sparkle like two big blue gemstones. Olive was adorable with her big red rosy cheeks and the small freckles sprinkled across the bridge of her nose. She had a paler completion like my mother. Unlike them I had inherited my Father's olive skin which means I tan easier here as my mother and my sister burn like toast in the sunlight. I had a much darker complexion. My hair was brown like Olive's except mine was much darker than Olive's. My hair was the color of tree trunks, while Olive was more of a dishwater blonde which was a combination of brown and blonde hair. Olive even had subtle natural blonde highlights in her hair that stood out even more in the sunlight. Lady hydra tapped her pen on her desk interrupting my thoughts.

"So miss Lillian its very nice to see you again. How's my favorite champion doing?"

Asked Hydra was taking a sip of her wine glass.

The drinking laws in the Euro Isles were much lower than the United Merica Isles. The drinking laws there were twenty one. Here you just had to be fourteen. I had my first taste of wine when I was fifteen at a party. I've never had anything to drink since. Whenever I was offered wine I would take it but secretly dump it in the trash can or by the nearest pot or the nearest potted plant and I would replaced the wine with a grape juice box. I always brought a juice box with me at parties. It was always a ritual I did. Paul would always make fun of me for it, but Mina did the same thing as I did. It was our party ritual. Paul would make fun of us all the time but we didn't really care. Lexie would flat out refuse to drink alcohol knowing her. Olive would always take the chance to drink at parties and sometimes she got a little drunk. One time olive had a little too much fun at her own birthday party at the famous hotel in Luminous City. She was turning fourteen and it was the legal age that she could drink. Olive had way too many Tequila's and Margarita's. she went into the bathroom and threw up. Her birthday girl sash was on backwards and her birthday Tiara was a little lopsided. Aracel, Amalie, Amber, and I had to help get Olive to her hotel room. I walked her back to her hotel room which was at the same hotel the party was at. She was in one of the famous Luxury suites, Serena, Amalie and I shared a luxury suite together to cut the cost. I gave Olive a big lecture once we got back to her hotel room. Amber, Amalie and Aracel went back with me to her room. Aracel was invited by me to Olive's party after we became friends when I had helped her fight team galactic in sinnoh and Rj had brought us together. Aracel had even helped me catch Giratina by giving me a masterball. She had also given me a master ball so I could catch Xerneas when Team Flare invaded. This party happened three months before I had become champion and before Amalie's tragic death which still haunts me even four months later. I still have Amalie's silver heart charm bracelet around my wrist. Aracel was the who had convinced me to challenge Rj for the title of Kalos Champion. I had Won every Pokemon league I challenged but I never challenged the champion league for the title of champion. Amalie said that I should have challenged the league but I told her that I didn't want to. I didn't want all of the responsibility casted on my shoulders. She often got mad at me because she said I was wasting my talents. Aracel had come to me after I had won the Kalos league. She said that I should challenge Rj who was Champion and he had beaten diantha just a few days ago at the time. She said that she thought that I had talent. I thought about it for a while. Then a few months later Ash and my childhood friend Alain challenged the league. Ash made it to the final round and Alain won the league. Alain challenged Rj and got creamed. He couldn't knock out a single one of Rj's Pokemon. Then after Lysandre attacked Kalos. Amalie died protecting me... then after Lysander's defeat and possible death I thought about what aracel said and what amaile had told me. I went and challenged the champion league. I got through all of the elite four with just spark. However once I got to Rj's champion room it wasn't that easy. Rj had called out his Shiny Delphox first. I knocke sit out with my Greninja Night. However his mega Requeza was a challenge. I had called out my Tyrantrum Tyra. I had to recall Tyra because she had taken major damage. Luckily I recalled her before she had fainted. Then I sent out my Gardevoir Joy. I mega evolved Joy and knocked out Requeza with a moonblast. The battle raged on and finally we were down to our last Pokémon. His partner was his Lucario which had the bond phenomenon just like Ash's except it was way stronger than Ash's Greninja. Then I used the heart shaped mega ring on my index right finger and I had mega evolved spark. It wasn't easy fight at all. In fact I had never had a battle that was this challenging and this much fun. I honestly haven't felt this way in such a long time. I could tell that Spark could feel it too. We finally pulled out a victory with a final blast burn and Rj had his Lucario use a god like golden aura sphere as his final attack. Both our pokemon were at the same level of exhaustion so it was so hard to see who w's going to win. who's Pokémon would go dow first. Who walk out of the Kalos league as its new champion. Rj or me. Then after both Pokemon had fired their final attacks both stood stood still waiting to see who would be first to fall. Then Lucario took a breath and fell over and fainted. At that moment the ref declared me as Kalos's new champion. I was way too shocked for words. It took me a minute to realize what I had done until I heard Alain shouting. "Don't stand there like an idiot you won!" Shouted Alain cheerfully. Then I stood there and smiled. Then I ran over to spark and I hugged him after he turned back to his normal form. Then Rj walked over to me and said that he was impressed. He told me that one day we would have another battle for the title of Kalos champion. It never did happen. I had a feeling that Rj and I would battle real soon. My thoughts were interrupted when Hydra tapped on her wine glass with finger nails.

"You seem more spacey than usual are you okay Lillian?"

Asked Lady Hydra while taking a small sip of her wine.

"Um yes. I'm fine I just have a lot to think about."

I said.

"we all do but normally you're more focused than this."

She said in concerned tone.

"Nothing's wrong I'm fine really."

I said while reassuring her.

Her green eyes fixated on my hazel ones and she smiled.

"Okay as long as nothing is wrong."

I nodded and looked up at her.

"So when did Elijah start getting threats?"

I asked.

"A week ago when all of our family had arrived."

She said smoothly.

Her voice was smooth like silk. It was soft and comforting. Her voice soothed my nerves. I tend social anxiety at times and she seemed calmed and relax. It helped me feel relaxed.

"I have a question. Ms. Lillian could you have Jonathan bring Cynthia in? I would like to talk to the poor dear."

She said.

"Why?"

I asked.

"I would just like to speak with her."

Said Hydra.

I sighed and had Jonathan get Giles to bring Cynthia in.

After five minutes Giles came in with Cynthia and Jonathan was still patiently waiting outside. Cynthia sat next to me and hid behind me. She was way taller than I was so she enever stayed hidden so I didn't know what the point of her hiding behind me was.

"Cynthia please stop you're taller than me. You'll probably knock me over. No one here is going to hurt you."

I said calmly.

"I'm sorry..."

She said quietly.

I honestly wasn't sure how to deal with Cynthia's odd behavior. Aracel would know. Aracel was much more patient than I was. I described her as wise beyond her years. She gave great advice and when you were sad she was good at making you laugh. One time I laughed so hard at one of her jokes that soda came out of my nose. As embarrassing at it was we still laughed. Lexie may not be as patient but she seemed to make people happy and Cynthia seemed at ease around her. Lexie made me laugh, was very intelligent, and she was fun to be around. We could insult each other and not be hurt by it. We often made fun of each other send we have inside jokes that no one else understands. Lexie even helped me organize my suitcase for this trip. I was never really a people person until I had met Dawn who was a social beautifly She helped me overcome my introverted ways. Dawn and I had bonded over our love of shopping however I wasn't as big of a shopoholic as Dawn was. I could two at the mall max while dawn could spend all day at the mall. Once Misty, Aracel and I had gotten very bored at the department store. Dawn had been trying on clothes for what seemed for what seemed like centuries. Misty, Aracel and I got tired of waiting in the dressing room some went out to go look at the shoe section since Misty said that she needed a new pair of sneakers and that her's were wearing out. We got to the shoe section and started looking at shoes. Then Misty threw a shoe at me as a joke. then before I knew it Aracel joined and it became a shoe fight. The clerk kicked us out of the store and then Dawn had texted us wanting to know where we were. She wasn't too happy when I had told her that all three of us had gotten kicked out of the department store but when she came out she laughed then we all called it a day and went out to eat at some fancy sushi restraunt in luminous city. I wonder if Cynthia would ever be able To join in our friend group and have the happy memories that I did. I loved all of my friends for different reasons. Mina and I had been connected at the hip since we were five. Mina loved fashion just as much as dawn and would spend all day at the mall if she could. Mina was like my second mom she would always parent me when I did something wrong and she would comfort me when I cried. She was also very funny he knew how to make you even when she wasn't trying. She was also mischievous and liked to do pranks. We pulled funny prank on Gold once. We had convinced him that Mina was a vampire. Gold wore a garlic necklace everywhere he went for a month. He even slept with a wooden steak under his pillow for good measure. He wasn't happy when Paul had finally told him that mina was not a vampire. Misty and I became friends because we both loved to swim. When I was younger I used to be on a swim team. Misty and raced each other to the end of the pool. Since then our friendship was set in stone. She also stop up to me against my biggest rival Makayla. I hated her guts and blood boils just thinking about her. She's made my life miserable since pre k. Misty had roasted her so good when she decided it was a good idea to make fun of my outfit that day. Then Alain and I have been friends since we were babies. People used to think we were dating but I could never date Alain. He was like a big brother to me. Someone that I had looked up to. Makayla and I had met on the first day of kindergarten. She convinced the whole class that I had some skin disease. So no one wanted play with me except for Amalie and Alain. Then Alain got so mad that he poured juice on Makayla's sleeping mat and convinced the whole class that Makayla had wet the bed. Then Alain started calling her mellow yellow. He still does to this day whenever she bothers me. I wondered if Cynthia had any childhood friends growing up. she seemed like the kid who locked herself up in the library and would read all day avoiding the outside world. She seemed lonely. Iona was very good friends with Lusamine, Lillie, and Gladion. Gladion and I met under strange circumstances. I was almost about to arrest him and he told me what was real going on. Then a much darker family history was revealed. Their mother Lucile had become depressed after the death of her husband and she wasn't the same. Then she had Colress upgrade Type: Null to be a beast killer. She became obsessed with them. Then it was revealed that Lusamine had lied to Gladion the entire time about her mother's death only to protect him. Of course then the whole thing happened with Courses and Lusamine was put behind bars for an even greater scheme devised by neo team rocket and the vile governor Marcus Alo. I was able to crack the case. Tyson was put behind bars and Topaz was only sentenced to a year in prison. After all of that Gladion and I became very close. He used to have a crush on me according to Iona until he stated getting an even bigger crush on the cheery dark haired Beauty Selene Moon. Lillie and I were good friends until she had gotten amnesia. Now she's super reserved and only hangs, around Lusamine, Gladion, and Hayden. Lusamine was very nice and friendly. She seemed like she was very optimistic maybe not as overly optimistic as Hau but she never really complained. Lusamine seemed very intelligent and seemed to know a great deal about ultra beasts. As sweet and as cheerful as she was she was very naïve. You had to make sure that she wouldn't sneak off. Then there was Iona who was quite the opposite. Iona was tough and seemed very street smart. She knew how to scare people into getting the information she needed. She was a bold bad fearless. She also cracked good jokes and we both enjoyed sweets together. Then there was Alec who maybe an idiot but knew how to make laughed till I cried. VG always gave me life advice even when I didn't ask for it. He also helped me fix my computer and he even upgraded it so that the internet connection was faster. Then there was Haze who was one of those girls that was so adorable that you wanted hug her. She was always very polite and knew how to calm me down when I freaked out and would give you hugs when you needed them. Then there was Rj who constantly made me laugh. There were times when we would butt heads but only because VG says that we're both super stubborn and prideful but he was like my little brother and VG was like a big brother to me and Alec was the annoying little brother that you loved even though he annoyed the ever living crap out of you. Then there was Kanai, Mina's big sister. Kanaii made amazing food, as great with technology and I could talk to her about almost anything. She was like y big sister. Then there was Luke. Luke was partner for a while. He was a little full of himself but he always made me laugh eve when he never intended to and when push comes to shove he would always help me out. Then here was good old Gary oak who was the king of arrogance and he made me laugh when he lost his pride and did something stupid but we both laughed at each other and we could insult each other without the other person being offended. Then there was Star. I haven't seen her in a while. She's very artistic and is bound to be a famous artist someday. Then there was Silver. Silver would jokes in a monotone voice which made them funnier. He and I both used sarcasm frequently and he was a good bodyguard. Then there was Conway... he was interesting but he is a great medical examiner and I admired him for his intelligence. Then there was Gold. Gold was funny and didn't need help embarrassing himself. He could do it own his own. Gold, Mina and I also formed the cupid squad which now is up to five members including me. The group consisted of Gold, Mina, Rj, me, and Aracel. Lexie refused to join and Paul thinks Its stupid. This was typical of Paul. Then there was Jonathan. Jonathan always had a strong opinion on something and he was strong a trainer as well strong physically he was at a foot taller than me. We would always play together and he crack funny jokes that only he, Paul and I understood. Then there was May. May and I always went OT to eat together. We would always fight over who got to pay the food bill but in the end we each pay half. May also always knows her way around town and always knows the best places to eat and the best places to shop. Then there was Serena. Serena was probably the nicest person on earth. I really enjoyed her company and she made amazing sweets and gives great advice. She remained friends with me even after male died... Paul was my cousin and we had a good relationship and he was very smart and is big help. He helped me with several of my cases. He was like little brother to me and he would understand when I was grumpy and would give me the space I needed. We were all tight nit group. I couldn't think of any other friends that I wanted to spend my time with. I'm hoping that maybe someday Cynthia will have friends like that. Maybe someday my group of friends will be her friends. Who knows I could have find memories of her. My thoughts were interrupted when Cynthia tapped me on the shoulder.

"You're super spaced out today Lillian are you sure you're okay?"

Asked Lady hydra.

"Yes I'm fine I just have a lot on my mind that's all. Why did you have me bring Cynthia here?"

I asked.

"Because I have questions or her."

said Hydra while sipping her wine.

"So Cynthia you know my brother lance right?"

She asked.

Cynthia nodded.

"Yes I do. We used to friends u-"

"Until you started being mean to everyone."

Said Hydra finishing Cynthia's sentence.

Cynthia sat there quietly and stared at the floor or long time.

"So Cynthia why did you mess with my big brother?"

Asked Hydra.

"Okay let actually talk about the case now."

I said while trying to change the rough topic.

"You know I don't want anyonee messing with my brother. So I heard that Aracel let you stay in her house after all the mean things you said and did to her."

Said Hydra.

Cynthia looked like she was about to burst into tears.

"Hydra you've tortured the poor young girl enough!"

Said Lance walking into the room with a swoosh of his cape.

"But big brother I was having fun."

Whined Hydra.

"She clearly feels bad you don't need to make her feel worse."

Said Lance Firmly.

"I wanted to see if she's changed."

Said Hydra.

"She clearly has now stop messing with her and look at this letter that was sent to Grandfather this morning I really don't like it at all. I have a bad feeling about tomorrow night."

Said Lance.

Hydra took the letter and began to read it.

"hydra what's it say?"

I asked.

"It says.... Dear Elijah Draco, I know you're keeping something big that you've lied to us about for years. I expect my payments in large sums of cash if you wan to keep me quiet however if I don't get my payment then I'll tell everyone about the fraud you really are and tomorrow night at the stroke of 12:00 you'll take be taking you're last breath on your eighty first birthday. Your's truly, The Black Dragon."

Said Hydra folding up the letter.

"May I see the letter?"

I asked.

"Yes of course."

Said Lady Hydra.

She handed me the letter and the ink smelled different.

"This letter was written in charcoal."

What does this have to do with this case?"

Asked Lady Hydra.

"It narrows down our list of suspects. I remember this charcoal well. You can only get it from the temple in Blackthorne City. It's a very rare type of charcoal and who ever made the charcoal pen this letter was written in than that means that only someone worthy to go into the temple. Very people are allowed in that temple. Only champions, and well respected trainers or dragon trainers are allowed inside right?"

I asked.

"Wow impressive Lillian. How did you know about the charcoal? Very few people know of its existence."

Said Hydra.

"Lance Invited Aracel and I once. in fact I'm wearing a pair of earrings that Clair gave me as a gift that was made from that same charcoal found at the temple."

I said showing my dangley earrings.

"I remember I invited you and aracel inside and you even asked the village elder about the charcoal."

Said Lance.

I nodded and smiled.

Aracel came with me for a case in Johto. That trip was a blast. That' actually the trip where silver officially became Paul's bodyguard. It was memorable trip and a very memorable case.

"Cynthia I invited to you right?"

He asked.

"Yes Garchomp and I did some training down there. you and I used to train together own tree during my frequent monthly visits."

Said Cynthia quietly.

"Yeah I remember you have the amulet?"

Asked Lance.

"I actually do."

Said Cynthia pulling out a necklace that was hiding under her over sized gray hoodie.

I looked at it and it was beautiful. At the center was a keystone. The amulet was made of turquoise. And it had a dragon etched into the amulet.

"Cynthia its beautiful."

I said while smiling.

"Thanks. It the one thing I have left to remember garchomp by."

Said Cynthia sadly.

"What happened to Garchomp?"

Asked Hydra.

"All my Pokémon were confiscated by the police when I was arrested. Eventually I was proven innocent but all my pokemon were already released so I'll never get them back..."

Said Cynthia in tears.

"Great Hydra now you're making her cry!"

Shouted Lance.

"She was already about to cry when she came into my office."

Said Hydra firmly.

I sighed and hugged Cynthia

"Apologize to her. This is clearly a tough topic for her to talk about!"

Shouted Lance.

"I'm sorry. Cynthia where did you live before you stayed with Aracel?"

Asked Hydra.

"On the streets."

Said Cynthia.

Hydra looked at Cynthia on shock.

"I'm so sorry Cynthia."

Said Hydra.

"It's fine I'm okay now."

She said.

"Its okay let's take you back to Aracel now."

I said while handing her a tissue.

"Actually Lillian I am done you're free to go now. I'm going to make sure that there's extra security. I want to make sure that grandfather is protected. Also Cynthia I heard that Lusamine doesn't have a Pokémon either right?"

Asked Lady Hydra.

"Yes."

Said Cynthia.

"I would like you and Lusamine to pick out a Pokémon. There are all kinds of Pokémon that come over and visit our garden. They flock over here in large numbers."

Said Lady Hydra.

Cynthia nodded and looked down at her new black sneakers and nervously shuffled her feet on the ground.

"okay."

She said quietly.

"Okay Aracel, Jonathan, Gladion Lusamine and I will all head out and we'll help you pick a Pokémon."

I said.

She nodded but stared at me blankly. We both got up and left Lady Hydra's office and went to the gardens.

Cynthia's POV

"Cynthia did you find anything that you like?"

Asked Jonathan.

I looked at all the Pokémon and I couldn't find any that stood out to me. I looked over and saw Lusamine playing with a bunch of other Pokémon.

"which one do you like?

Asked Gladion.

"I don't know there are so many of them."

Said Lusamine.

"What about this cutie?"

Asked Lillian carrying a Togepi in her arms.

"Its so cute."

Said Aracel.

Togepi hopped out of Lillian's arms and into Lusamine's.

"You're such a cutie."

Togepi looked happy with Lusamine.

"I'm going to pick Togepi."

Said Lusamine happily.

Of course its easier for her. I don't know why but she's always happy. Jonathan looked over at me and smiled.

"Did you find anything you like?"

Asked Jonathan.

I hated to admit it but Jonathan is kind of cute. He also had a mysterious aura about him that made me want to know more about him.

"No."

I said while sighing.

"I have to go. Gladion you're going to be upset and Lexie is having a panic attack. It about the room arrangements. So in my room we have me, Cynthia, Aracel, Misty, and Lexie. In another room we have Kanaii, Lei, Hazel, Dawn, and Serena. In the next room we have Iona, Lusamine, Lillie, Thania, and Mina. So for the boys, in one room there's Paul, Ash, Luke, Silver, and Gold. In you're room Gladion you're with, Alec, VG Rj, and Conway. Then in another room there's Calem, Gary, Lucas Hayden, Alain, and Barry."

Said Lillian.

"Not Conway! And Alec is annoying!!!"

Shouted Gladion.

"I'm sorry someone had to room with Conway."

Said Lillian but why did it have to be me?!"

Shouted Gladion.

"You can handle this for one week."

Said Lusamine.

"I think I'm going to die. Gladion to be fair this is possible murder case."

Said Jonathan.

Lillian giggled.

"That's not funny!"

Said Gladwin.

"It kind of is."

Said Aracel.

I looked over and saw a Pokémon covered in a weird cloth.

"You guys can go ahead and go unpack. I'll meet you there."

I said to Lillian and Aracel.

"You sure you don't need help?"

Asked Aracel.

"Yeah I'm sure."

I said.

Lillian and Aracel nodded and headed off to their rooms.

Lausanne and Gladwin left to go get their rooms.

"Great I'm off to hell."

Whined Gladion.

"Is only for a week."

Said Lusamine while sighing.

Only Jonathan and I remained in the garden.

"You find a Pokémon?"

He asked.

I pointed to the Pokémon in the weird cloth and I scooped it up into my arms.

"That's a Mimikyu. Not many trainers own them. People think that their bad luck. It eve dresses like Pikachu just so it can get attention because people like Pikachu."

Said Jonathan.

Mimikyu snuggled up to me and I hugged it.

"I'll take Mimikyu."

I said while smiling.

Lillian's POV

"seriously this hallway is creepy Lillian."

Said Lexie.

"You're the one who wanted to explore."

I said.

"But this kind of creepy if you think about it. I mean look at all the creepy statues."

Said Lexie.

"Lexie their Gargoyles. They are supposed to ward off evil spirits."

I said.

"Fun fact but slightly creepy at the same time."

Said Lexie.

I sighed and continued on down the hallway.

"I haven't seen Hayden ands Lillie all day."

Said Lexie.

"They're playing in the indoor pool. I might go for a late night dip."

I said.

"That means you have to walk down this creepy hallway."

Said Lexie.

"Yeah and?"

"It's probably scarier at night."

Said Lexie.

"I've seen scarier things than creepy statues."

I said thinking back to all of my previous murder cases.

"Oh..."

Said Lexie.

I nodded and continued down the long dark hallway.

I felt like I was being watched.

"Lil I think someone is watching us."

Said Lexie.

I looked around and saw someone run to the next columns which lined the long hallway.

"Okay enough playing games!"

"LILLIAN WHAT IF IT IS THE BLACK DRAGON?!?!"

Shouted Lexie.

"Calm down Lex. It isn't the black dragon its me."

Said Ursula coming up from behind a pillar.

"THIS IS WORSE THAN THE BLACK DRAGON!!!!!"

Shouted Lexie.

I sighed and walked over to Ursula.

"So what are you doing creeping up on us?"

I asked.

"I thought I was being watched. I'm relieved that it's just you too."

Said Ursula while giggling.

"yeah sure."

Said Lexie.

"Lillian this are some lovely earrings. Those are charcoal right? From the templee in blackthorne?"

Asked Ursula in a nice tone.

I don't know what was weirder. Ursula being nice or the fact that she knew about the charcoal.

"How did you know about the charcoal?"

I asked.

"Because I've been to the temple before."

"You've been to the temple?!"

I asked in shock.

"Yep I have. Its a pretty place."

Said Ursula.

"What are you even doing here?"

I asked.

"I live here lance is my big brother."

Said Ursula.

"Did you say big brother?!"

I asked in shock.

"Yep."

Said Ursula while smiling.

"Why is she being nice? This is weird."

Said Lexie whispering into my ear.

"Yeah it is..."

i said.

"So why are you being nice to us all of a sudden?"

I asked.

Ursula looked down and shuffled her feet on the nice marble floors.

"Well... Lance gave me scolding after what I said to you and Aracel back in the Romine City Square. That was rude of me to say I'm sorry."

She said.

Lexie and I looked at each other in shock. For some odd reason I believe her. There had to be a reason why she was so mean to us. Everyone had their reasons. What was her's?

"Lillian what should we do?"

Asked Lexie.

"Lets just give her a second chance lexie she has to have a reason for the way she acted towards us.."

I said whispering to Lexie.

"Okay we'll give you a second chance but don't pull a Harley Hartwell on us."

I said while giggling.

Lexie looked at me and giggled since Harley was a good friend of Lexie's.

"Okay that's good to hear."

Said Ursula.

I still couldn't shake this feeling of being watched. I knew that there was still some one lingering in the halls watching us.
