Jonathan's POV

I stood there taking a sip of wine and cringe at the bitter yet sweet taste. I hated alcohol and what people do with it but I wanted to be polite.

My plan white mascaraed mask made my face sweat. The boys wore plain ones while the girls' masks were nothing short of extravagant and amazing.

Cynthia looked amazing in her dress and she looked stunning I don't understand why she's so self conscious. She's beautiful. Then I saw Mikayla and her annoying friend Valentina talking with Ursula.

"Honestly Ursula why waste your talent and potential in Lillian and her group of loser friends?!"

Shouted Mikayla.

"You know what Mikayla?! If anyone's a loser it's you! I mean seriously your two brother is your escort! Could you not find any guy to bribe into going to the dance with you?!"

Said Ursula with a snarky time.

"Why you little brat!!! You don't seem to know your place!!! Why don't I put you there?!"

Said Mikayla splashing some wine on Ursula's pink and white dress.

"HEY!!!"

Shouted Ursula.

"Sorry it was an accident!"

Said Mikayla.

"Yeah accidents happen!"

Said Valentina with a smirk on her face.

"No! I know an accident when I see one!"

Said Aracel.

"What are you going to do about it?!"

Said Valentina.

"Hey that's enough!"

Said Selene walking over with Gladion.

"Seriously Selene your escort is the ex-enforcer of team skull?! you could've totally done better than that!"

Said Mikayla.

"At least I'm not a spoiled rotten brat who flaunts their money around blackmailing and putting other people down just to make myself feel better!"

Shouted Gladion.

"Excuse me?!"

"You heard him get lost!"

I said firmly.

"And who are you?"

Asked Mikayla in a flirty tone while putting her arm around me.

I shoved her arm off of me and pushed her away.

"Jonathan!"

I said said firmly.

"And he's my escort..."

Said Cynthia shyly.

"Really?! Why would he waste his time on you?!"

Said Mikayla taking a sip of her wine.

"Because she's a lot nicer than you'll ever be!"

Said Gladion.

Lillie gave Mikayla a cold glare and Mikayla rolled her eyes.

"Oh please the whole Aether family are a bunch of losers except for Lusamine! She has potential."

Said Valentina.

"I'll never join your group because you're mean to everyone why would I want to be a part of something like that?! And you're picking on my siblings and I don't appreciate it!"

Said Lusamine firmly.

"Oh come on the only one who's a bigger loser than Gladion is Cynthia and everyone knows it!"

Said Mikayla.

"Hey Mikayla that's enough!"

Said Ash.

"Ash is right! Why are you being so rude Cynthia has done nothing to you!"

Said Serena.

"Yeah Serena is right!"

Said Dawn walking over with gold.

"You know Ash sweetie you're cute when you're mad."

Said Mikayla twirling her a strand of her fake blonde highlighted hair in between her fingers.

"Yeah and an Apalm could figure that out quicker than you can!"

Said Gold.

"Oh please Gold! And that's coming for you're mouth! You got the lowest scores on tests in school and you have an IQ of a Magikarp!"

Said Mikayla.

"Hey the only one that insults Gold is me!"

Said Silver.

"Mikayla why don't you just get a life?!"

Said Paul.

"Yeah because if there's one thing I do not put up with it's mean girls!!!"

Said Iona.

"Whatever Paul I wasn't speaking to you losers! Especially not an ex-team flare!"

Said Mikayla.

"Why you little bit-"

"WOAH IONA CHILL!!!!"

Shouted Silver holding Iona back,

"That's enough! Just stop they did nothing to you!"

Said Cynthia.

"Oh really clearly you need be put in your place!"

Said Mikayla pushing Cynthia into a punch bowl.

Cynthia was drenched with punch and her makeup was running. She looked like a mess and she looked mortified. Then Mikayla reached over and pulled of Cynthia's mask.

"Attention everyone this this the face of a loser!"

Shouted Mikayla.

Everyone turned around and looked at Cynthia.

Tears streamed down Cynthia's fave and she went running for her room upstairs.

"CYNTHIA WAIT!!!!!"

I shouted.

But she was fine I couldn't catch her. I clenched my fists. I wanted to punch people like Mikayla in the face for hurting others for no absolute reason than to better themselves it pissed me off to see people like Cynthia being picked around by girls like Mikayla and Valentina.

"NO ONE PICKS ON MY SIBLINGS LIKE THAT AND GET'S AWAY WITH IT!!!!!!"

Shouted Gladion trying to hit Mikayla.

"GLADION CHILL!!!!"

Shouted Selene holding Gladion back from hitting Mikayla!"

"What is wrong with you?!"

Shouted Ash.

"Oh Ash I had to put that loser in her place! Why don't you ditch Serena and dance with me?!"

Said Mikayla grabbing Ash's hand.

"Excuse me?!"

Shouted Serena.

"Why waste you're time on a loser like her when you could have me?!"

Said Mikayla.

Anger surged through me. I couldn't think of anything else to say. I just wanted to punch this girl in the face.

"Because unlike you Serena's a kind person who cares about other people and you only care about yourself!!!"

Said Ash.

"Ash I care about you!"

Said Mikayla.

"Oh please that's a bunch of bullsh-"

"You know what I'll never get girls like you!"

Said Guzma walking over with Plumeria interrupting Rj.

"You're very lucky her mother wasn't down here because she would let you have it!"

Said Plumeria.

"Where is mom?"

Asked Gladion.

"She's with Nia and Garret is too. I'm going to go find Cynthia!"

Said Lillian walking over with Hazel.

"I'm coming too."

Said Lusamine.

"Wait did you say Nia?!"

I asked in shock.

"Yeah you know her?!"

Asked Lusamine.

"Yeah I- I- Nia saved me at point..."

I said tying to reword everything so it doesn't sound suspicious.

"Who gives a crap let's focus on the fact that you're all losers!"

Said Mikayla.

"I'm going to leave before I say something I regret!"

Said Lillian.

"Can I come too?!"

Asked Rj.

"No stay here and back Jonathan up and Alec you- do what you normally do!"

Said Lillian.

"You've got it!"

Said Alec giving Lillian a thumbs up.

"Miss Lillian can I come with you please?!"

Asked Emmie.

"Sure you want to help cheer Cynthia up?"

"Yeah?!"

Said Emmie.

"Okay!"

Said Lillian scooping Emmie into her arms.

Lillian, Lusamine, and Hazel walked off and up the stairs to go find Cynthia and Emmie was in Lillian's arms.

"You know what Mikayla?! people like you really piss me off!!!!"

I said.

"Oh really?! Huh?! What are you going to do about it?!"

Said Mikayla.

"Why don't you settle your issues at the double battle tournament and I am sure Jonathan will cream you!"

Said Ursula.

"Really there's a double battle tournament!"

Said Ash.

"Yeah and my big brother is hosting it! And so is the world champion of the Euro Isles William Duncan."

Said Ursula happily.

"Wow awesome! Lillian's dad I hosting the tournament?"

Said Ash.

"Yeah and Sara is going to watch and olive is going to help referee with Mikey."

Said Rj.

"Who's Mikey?!"

Asked Lucas.

"Olive's new crush."

Said Rj.

"Yeah and he's my little pain in the butt brother!"

Said Lexie taking a sip of her grape juice which Lillian happily helped her replace to make it look like wine. It was Lillian and Mina's pre-party ritual they always did that.

"Hey Gold let's pair up!"

Said Alec.

"Okay!"

Said Gold.

"So two idiots are pairing up together? I would love to see the outcome of all of this."

Said Silver while snickering my

"Silver you in?"

Asked Paul.

"He's yeah I'm in! I'm pretty sure that if I am teamed up with you that we'll win."

Said Silver.

"Valentina it's you and me let's cream these losers!"

Said Mikayla.

"Hey Ash let's pair up!"

Said Rj.

"Okay!"

Said Ash happily.

"Mina it's you and me! We're both skilled with fairy types so why not?!"

Said Thania firmly.

"Wow you sound so sure so I guess I can't turn you down."

"Hey Luke wanna pair up?!"

Said Luke giving Steven a fist bump.

"Okay Guzma wanna pair up with me?!"

Asked Plumeria happily:

"Well Gwen and I are already paired up."

Said Guzma.

Said Plumeria squeezing her wine glass.

"You and I can team up I don't have a partner."

"Sure why not."

"Aracel are you entering?"

"No because Lance asked me to help host and judge the battles the winners of the double battles get a prize."

Said Aracel.

"Wow sounds intriguing...."

Said Conway lifting his glasses up and down.

"VG you and I are entering the tournament!"

Said Kanaii.

Said Kanaii.

VG sighed but smiled.

"I'm not that skilled of a trainer but I'll try my best."

Said VG.

"Well you're very lucky to have an Island Kahuna as your partner."

Said Kanaii.

VG blushed and smiled.

Serena looked up at me with a serious look on her face.

"Jonathan let's Team up!"

Said Serena

"Wait you want me to team up with you?"

I asked.

"Yeah because I want to beat Valentina and Mikayla and I want to put them in their places!"

Said Serena.

"Okay we'll team up."

I said while smiling at Serena.

"Gladion let's enter!"

Said Selene.

"Wait you want to pair up with me?!"

Gladion asked in shock.

"Yeah of course!"

Said Selene happily.

Gladion blushed and smiled.

"Lusmaine you should enter."

Said Gladion.

"No I really shouldn't I haven't even trained Togepi."

Said Lusamine.

"Good point..."

Said Gladion.

"You and I should enter Lillie."

Said Lucas.

"Lillie doesn't battle."

Said Gladion.

"Oh yeah."

Said Lucas.

"Well maybe you and I can pair up."

Said Calem.

"Okay sure Calem we can pair up."

Said Lucas.

Lillie wrote in her notebook in pen and handed it to Lucas it read "I'll be cheering for you."

Lucas blushed and smile. Then I saw Lance walk up to the podium and he had a huge smile on his face.

"Okay so it's an honor and a privilege to be hosting the double battle tournament and Aracel and you're favorite world champion of the Eruo Isles William Duncan!!!"

Said Lance.

He looks so much like Lillian the only thing that's different is his jet black hair and glasses.

Lillian's has his eyes, his skin tone, and his sharp facial features but she had her mother's kind but firry personality.

"Hello! Welcome! I'm sure you're all aware that my two daughters are here to help with the tournament so please give them a big hand and I hope that you all enjoy this tournament working side by side with your Pokemon and your partner! The prize will be a keystone and a mega stone of your choice!"

Said William happily.

"Wow that prize sounds coveted!"

Said Miette whispering to Silas.

"Let's say you and I pair up?"

Said Silas.

"Seriously?"

"Yeah of course. Who else would I want to pair up with?"

Asked Silas while slightly blushing.

Miette blushed and turned away,

"Well I feel the same way..."

Said Miette under her breath.

Alain looked up and saw Lance holding Lana's hand.

"You know who gives a crap what Elijah says those two make a great couple."

Said Alain.

"Agreed."

Said Aracel kissing Alain on the cheek.

"Don't you think it's weird that Larissa, Clair, Darrius and Celia aren't here at the party?"

Asked Alec.

"Wow Alec for once you're actually right!"

Said Iona.

"Yeah it is kind of odd now that you mention it everyone is else seems to be accounted for."

Said Conway.

"Well mom and Garret are caring for Nia right now."

Said Gladion.

"Yeah well when do the battles start?"

I asked.

"In an hour why?"

Asked Aracel.

"I want to see Nia I haven't seen her in six months."

Said Jonathan.

"Well you should go see her. It might make her hate us less."

Said Gladion.

"I'm sure she doesn't hate you."

Said Selene.

"She said and I quote "I don't like you."

Said Gladion trying to imitate Nia's monotone voice.

As much as I loved Nia like a little sister she had her quirks big time but I guess that's why I liked her so much. She had more problems than I did and for some reason when I was around her I felt... Calm.

"We'll be back in time so we can cream Mikayla and Valentina."

Said Serena.

"Right I promise I'll be back."

I said walking up the stairs,

I ran up the flight of stairs and ran through the dark hallways and finally made it to Nia's room where she was being cared for by Lucile and Garret. I watched in the hallway and saw Nia slap Lucile's hand away from her.

"Don't touch me I don't like you!"

Shouted Nia.

"Excuse me?! Nia she's trying to help you!"

Said Garret.

"Hey Lucile I might be able to help!"

I said walking Nia looked up at me and smiled.

"Hi Johnny!"

Third Person POV

Elijah could feel the pain in his chest where the black dragon tried to kill him. He missed his heart by only a little bit.

"S-s-so y-y-you w-w-want to p-p-play l-l-like that huh?! W-well y-you're g-going t-to r-r-regret I-it!"

Said Elijah trying to give a clue.

Elijah was struggling to write a message in blood. He only got to write C D and he took his last breaths and died Clair's balcony.

Hey guys sorry to leave you at two big cliffhangers 😂😂😂 but I wanted to make these chapters a little shorter since it won't stress me out as much this murder/dance part should be finished by part 3 then the hunt begins after that and things get real after that 😂😂😂 so I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I know it's more of a filler but I have to set it up like that get to the exciting parts.
