Jeonghan P.O.V

„Sowon what is that bastard doing here?" he said and Sowon didn't say anything and just held my arm tighter. She must be shocked to see him. This idiot also has a great timing just when everything was about to go well he just had to appear again. As if he sniffed it that Sowon is moving on.
„I should be the one asking that. You were the one who broke up what do you want now?"
„I don't think I have to tell you that?"

„It's ok Jeonghan let me talk."
„Are you sure?" I looked at her worriedly.
„I am ok just.... stay next to me." I nodded on spot.
„So what do you want?"
„Let's talk while drinking some coffee. Just the two of us we don't need a third wheel who has nothing to do with it." he said but I am not moving an inch until she tells me to.
„Sure we can drink coffee. But he is not going anywhere."

We sat down in a coffee shop she sat next to me and he in front of her. She was fidgeting with her fingers so I held her hand so she can calm down.
„I can't believe you are holding her hand in front of her boyfr-„
„EX-Boyfriend you mean." I cut him off before I finished.
„I didn't like you the moment I saw you back then."
„Thats a thing we agree on."
„Stop this shit and tell me what you want." Sowon said and all of a sudden he started acting like the most innocent puppy.

„Sowon I know you are hurt because of all the things I did and I want to correct everything."
„Now? After all that happened?"
„I had no choice back then. My dad got sick very badly and we had to take him to japan for treatment."
„Wait uncle is sick?" she got worried.
„He was very badly. They even said he won't make it and I was so stressed about it."
„Why didn't you say anything?"
„How could I? You were already stressed enough because of work. So I made this decision. I wasn't even sure when I would come back. If I knew he would heal that quickly I would have asked you to wait...."

She didn't say anything and now I was the one getting nervous. Her anger seems to have cooled down a little bit. I let go of her hand and now I was the one playing with my fingers. Is the happiness I felt shortlived? Can't I go past this? I was preparing my heart to get dumped again but...

„I understand that you must have had it hard. I understand it this one time but...."
„But?"
„I will never understand all the other times you left me hanging." this time she grabbed my hand tightly.
„What do you mean I let you down? When did I?"
„See that's your problem. You hurt me and don't even know when you did that. I am talking about all the times where I needed you but you weren't by my side. Whenever it was hard for me and I called for you, you were busy drinking with your friends watching some soccer games. You always just told me to go to sleep that I will feel better after that. No I would have felt better if you just asked me how I am doing and hugged me. I didn't ask for anything big Jungwoo but you couldn't do it for me. In the end I was always alone so why should I give you a chance again?"
„I- I will change. It won't happen. Back then I didn't know how important you are to me I won't do it again."

She got up still holding my hand I got up along with her.
„That's your problem you have to lose something to know how important it was. That doesn't mean I will throw myself back to you." she dragged me along and I had the biggest smile on my face. I was worried for nothing I should have known better.

It's been more than three weeks with this cold now. Can you please leave now? I am tired 😩🤧
