The Jedi and Rebel Newsies

Ummmm, Star Wars X Newsies Crossover in honor of May 4th. May the Fourth Be With You!!! It doesn't fit anywhere into the Star Wars storyline OR the other oneshots in this book. Also, don't look for any super close resemblances to characters in Star Wars cause I didn't plan those but if you notice any....kudos to you!! Also, I don't own Star Wars. Please also realize that I am doing something that hasn't officially happened in Star Wars (that I know of) soooooo....don't like stress about the context or anything because it's just gonna be random Newsies as Jedi and others as Rebels. Also, droids are in because....droids!!! And Yoda may or may not make an appearance.

"Be back in a bit!" Les Jacobs calls out as he races through the Rebel base clad in one of the boys' bright orange flight suits that's two sizes too big for him. Despite what his brother says, Les really wants to be a pilot. His dream is to fly an X-Wing and blow up something big....like a Death Star.

Except that only works when said brother doesn't feel through the Force that Les is leaving. Les isn't Force sensitive either so it makes no sense that his older brother can track him.

"Master Les! Where are you going?" The prim and proper voice of a certain golden protocol droid rings out through the Rebel base.

"Out," Les replies, continuing towards one of the X-Wings.

"Master Davey would most certainly not approve . Why, I'm sure his Jedi powers will stop you right in your tracks," the droid continues. Les groans.

"Would ya please get out of here, 3P0? I'm trying to do something kinda important here," he whines. The droid, C3P0, waves his golden arms in distress.

"Master Davey would never....." 3P0 starts again but Les shushes him.

"Master Davey doesn't approve of a lot of things," he says, "But I'm doing it anyways."

Meanwhile, across from the base, Jack Kelly, leader of the entire aeronautics side of the Rebellion, observes the discussion between the golden droid and the human boy.

"I've got a bad feeling about this," he mutters.

"I can understand why but I think it'll be okay," Katherine, head commander and diplomat for the Rebellion reassures, "Besides, you're never one to worry."

"I know. I really don't want to be on the sorry end of a lightsaber," Jack replies as he puts an arm around his fiance. The couple watches the younger Jacobs sibling climb up a ladder with the bumbling golden protocol droid nervously chattering away to him while he climbs. The young boy climbs into the cockpit as R2D2, an astromech droid, sits in the cubbyhole behind him. The hangar doors open and Les starts up the X-Wing.

"Go get em, Kid!!" Racetrack Higgins, a Force sensitive pilot and commander of the Red Squadron shouts. Les pilots the X-Wing out of the Rebel base, trying not to bounce it off of anything. Suddenly, running footsteps sound from a different part of the Rebel Base.

"Get him back here!" Davey Jacobs cries as he hurries out into the middle of the Rebel base in blue and dark brown Jedi robes. He extends his hand and tries to pull the X-Wing back towards the base. The X-Wing shudders for a moment, struggling to move forward. Race uses the force and pushes the button to shut the hangar door. Fortunately for Davey, Race doesn't really know how to do much else with the Force except play pranks on people. Davey sighs. Master Yoda would not be happy with his latest use of the Force.

"Master Davey! I tried! I'm sorry I couldn't stop him!" C3P0 cries as he walks over to Davey. Davey starts to walk away from the fretful golden droid.

"It's alright," Davey replies to the overly apologetic droid as he turns to Jack, "I'm going to work on my lightsaber skills."

Katherine's pretty sure she hears an audible gulp of fear come from Jack.

"I don't think that he's going to use them on you but, I would be lying if I told you that I thought sending Les out by himself was a good idea," she says, squeezing his hand.

"He has R2. He'll be fine. R2 can do all kind of things to protect him," Jack says, trying to reassure himself and make the situation better. Suddenly, the whir of a lightsaber makes both Jack and Katherine jump.

"Hey! It worked! Lightsabers do sound intimidating," Henry says, causing Jack to let out a sigh of relief. Mush, Elmer, Finch, and Specs stand behind him with their lightsabers ignited as well.

"Would you please go find something else to do?" Jack asks, using the Force to press the buttons on their lightsabers to turn them off. Jack himself has never wielded a lightsaber despite the fact that he is Force sensitive. He loves his position as a pilot more than he wants to become a Jedi. Besides, there is too much practice and training needed for it. Not nearly as much as is needed for being a pilot.

Which might become a whole lot harder if Les doesn't bring R2 back in one salvageable piece. The five boys go turn on some practice battle droids to strengthen their lightsaber skills with. The whirring colorful blades smack against the hard metal of the droids as they fight with pieces of metal that take a lightsaber a long time to burn through. Mush twirls his green blade through the air and strikes down hard on the piece of metal. The droid that he's fighting with pulls out a blaster and starts shooting at him. Mush carefully starts to block the bolts.

"Ahh," Finch squeaks as blaster tags him in the shoulder.

"You're not supposed to get hit by it," Albert mutters as he walks by.

"Thanks, Albert. Like I didn't know that," Finch says as he twirls his blue blade around. Race playfully uses the Force to levitate a crate to send it down on top of both boys. Finch sees it and slices it perfectly in half. Somehow, it still manages to conk Albert in the head. He falls down on the ground and Finch starts laughing at him.

"Jedi are weird," Albert complains as he starts to walk back over towards Race.

"Well yeah? I think your best friend's weird," Finch replies as Albert leaves him. Another crate goes flying towards Finch. This time, Finch doesn't notice and it lands on top of him, trapping him underneath.

"Don't call one of your own weird," Race shouts from across the base.

"You're not a Jedi!" Finch shouts back.

"Could be if I wanted to be. One training session with Yoda told me that!" Race reasons. Finch rolls his eyes inside the crate and lets out a sigh.

"Mush, how much longer until we can go back to Dagobah to pick up your girlfriend?" he asks from inside the crate, really hoping someone will move it off of him. He feels too lazy to do it himself.

"She's not my girlfriend and if you keep that up, I'm definitely not picking that crate up off of you," Mush says from outside. His lightsaber whirs as he bats away more blaster bolts.

"You didn't answer my question and stop reading my mind! Keep your Jedi tricks to yourself," Finch responds. He closes his eyes and uses the Force to plop the crate gently off to the side, in no mood to take revenge on Race and Albert across the way. His blue blade continues to whir as he stands there.

"Master Yoda would be impressed," Specs says happily at Finch's accomplishment.

"Okay but when do we go back to Dagobah to pick up Elley?" Henry asks. Mush shrugs.

"Don't know. Davey hasn't been in touch with either one of them so, I'm assuming her training isn't done yet," Mush replies.

"Have you been in touch with either one of them?" Elmer asks with the tiniest hint of suggestiveness in his voice. Mush sighs.

"Do you have to ask it like that?" he asks back.

"Yes!" Henry cries as Spec cries out "No!" at the same time.

"Of course I've been talking to Elley! I can't say the same for Yoda. He's easier to talk to in person. His....speech pattern is a little difficult to understand through the Force," Mush answers.

"I've gathered that too," a new voice surprises the five Jedi in training. Davey stands there with his own lightsaber ignited. The five slightly younger Jedi all wait for their leader to continue but all he does is glare at the droids. "How many times do I have to tell you to shut the droids off when you're done training?" he complains.

"I'm still training," Specs replies, trying to exonerate himself from the lecture.

"Somebody's gonna get blasted in the head and then what are we going to do?" Davey asks, "My brother's already missing."

"He's not missing," Jack calls out from his place with Katherine, "Just out for a quick fly."

"It's not quick enough. Some Imperial will catch him before he can get back here," Davey replies, "And we have to go to Dagobah."

"We're going?" Mush cries out excitedly.

"Skittery's going to fly us there in the Manhattan," Davey replies. The usually cranky pilot strolls out from his little nook on the Rebel base. Tumblr, his young co-pilot, is right behind him.

"Yeah, but don't get too excited. Half the time, the thing doesn't even want to fly," Skittery grouches.

"But we love her anyways, don't we, Skits?" Tumblr says, the more optimistic of the two pilots.

"Yes we do," Skittery replies grumpily. Suddenly, a transmission beeps from the command center where Jack and Katherine are standing. Crutchie, the base manager and second in command to Katherine of base activity, hurries out.

"I heard those beeps!" Crutchie exclaims excitedly, sitting down on the swivel chair and letting the transmission pass through to the base.

"Red Five to Base, do you copy?" a young voice echoes on the other side of the transmission.

"We copy, Red Five. What's the situation? Can you identify yourself?" Crutchie asks the young pilot kindly just so he knew who he was talking to.

"Uh, I'm Les Jacobs," the pilot of Red Five continues, "I kinda landed maybe a little hard." Davey sprints over and yanks the mic out of Crutchie's hand.

"Where? Are you okay? Please tell me you're okay," Davey interrupts.

"Calm down, Davey. I'm on Nylkoorb. It's the planet run by Spot Conlon," Les replies. Every single Newsie in the room stops what they're doing.

"You really sure you're on Nylkoorb?" Crutchie asks into the microphone.

"Yeah! That's what the computer and what R2 said," Les answers, "It's a really nice planet. 'Cept I haven't seen Spot Conlon yet. I would like to though."

"Les, just stay where you are and keep R2 with you at all times. Do not move a muscle. We'll be right there," Davey replies, nodding to his fellow Jedi and Skittery.

"Davey! Spot can't be that dangerous. I'll be fine. Besides, where's the fun when there's no adventure?" Les asks into the comm.

"Isn't Nylkoorb a neutral planet? They aren't Imperial, right?" Katherine asks Jack quickly. Jack sighs.

"Hard telling. Spot can't say no to a sizable amount of Imperial credits," he answers, looking at the ground.

"Your sister's still on Dagobah, isn't she?" Katherine asks, "Will she be safe?"

"Oh probably. She's with a Jedi Master and there's nothing else on Dagobah besides Yoda and a swamp land. I remember when she left for there," Jack replies, taking Katherine's hand in his own, "She's also training to be a Jedi, so I'm sure she can handle herself."

"Well that's good. There's one less person we have to worry about," Katherine replies happily. Davey and the rest of the Jedi Newsies hurry towards the Manhattan with Skittery and Tumblr leading the way.

"Yeah for sure," he says eyeing the Jedi preparing to leave, "Are you letting them go?"

"Of course! There's no sense in making them stay here. Davey wants to rescue his brother and he should be allowed to do that," she answers as she straightens up behind the command center. Race whacks the hangar door open with the Force.

"Lazy!" Albert shouts from across the base.

"Says you," Race replies, "If you were Force sensitive, you would do it too."

"Would not!" Albert shouts as they back away from the hangar doors.
"Would too!" Race yells, chasing the red head away. Jack rolls his eyes at the two boys and watches as Race starts throwing tools at Albert using the Force. He puts on a headset and connects to Skittery's transmission.

"You are clear for takeoff!" Romeo calls out through the commlink and Skittery starts to pilot the large ship out of the base.

"May the Force be with you!" Crutchie exclaims excitedly through the commlink. The Manhattan takes off into space.

Meanwhile onboard, Davey had the five younger Jedi standing with him, all six lightsabers ignited as the group stands together.

"Now we-"Davey starts, preparing to start some lightsaber exercises with the boys to train them only to be interrupted by Skittery,

"Hey! You slice it? You fix it! Got it?". Davey groans and starts to protest,

"We're Jedi! We don't know how to...."

"Yes you do! I've watched Elmer AND Mush fix things not only on this ship but the X-Wings. You're as much pilots as you are Jedi," Skittery grumps, "So, you slice it? You fix it."

"Fine," Davey groans, "Now as I was saying..." Suddenly, the ship starts to rock back and forth like crazy.

"Oh no," Skittery groans, "Tumblr, help me get us of here or death to our wires by lightsabers might be the least of our problems."

"What's going on?" Henry asks nervously.

"We're in an asteroid field," Skittery replies.

"Between Nattahnam and Nylkoorb?" Specs asks, "They're close to each other and..."

"Anything's possible in space," Tumblr says cheerfully.

"Eyes on the asteroids,  Tumblr," Skittery instructs. Davey shuts off his lightsaber.

"We'll plan our strategy and...." he decides, sitting down with the rest of the boys in the lounge area when a fretful voice interrupts him,

"Oh my! A strategy! It doesn't seem like that long ago that we were involved in our last battle." Skittery turns around with a murderous look on his face.

"What...is....he....doing....on....my...ship?" he asks very slowly. All of the Jedi Newsies start talking at once about how they weren't the ones to bring them on.

"We didn't know he was on here. We promise," Davey says and Skittery turns to the rest of the boys.

"I will scrap that hunk of gold for parts and...." Skittery starts.

"There's something flashing on your thing there..." Specs starts and Skittery slams it moodily on to hear something die in another part of the ship.

"Good going," Tumblr comments.

"Did anybody ask you?" Skittery asks his co-pilot.

"Your words asked for it," Tumblr sasses back.

"So, if you all are Jedi, how is it that you didn't know that Mr. Worrygold was on board?" Skittery asks, ignoring his copilot.

"We weren't paying attention which means we weren't using the Force actively and he's a droid so it wouldn't work," Specs says.

"Uh huh," Skittery replies as he gets up to go fix whatever broke. A few minutes later, he reemerges grumbling something about fake Jedi and incompetent ship parts. The Jedi Newsies all exchange worried looks.

"Now back to our strategy," Davey says and the boys begin to develop one. Skittery starts communicating with Les over the commlink about where he is as the ship starts to approach the planet.

"I'm sorry for any inconvenience my presence may have caused," begins 3P0, "I really was not trying to cause any harm." The group ignores him and continues talking through their plan if there is any opposition on Nylkoorb. Skittery and Tumblr spot a grounded X-Wing and land nearby it.

"I sense that there's something wrong here," Davey says softly.

"I get the sense that we're dead meat just being here," Skittery responds, "Conlon's going to send his droids out after us."

"But we have blasters," Tumblr replies, unhooking his blaster from his holster strapped to the side of his leg. Davey steps towards the platform with his lightsaber in his hand.

"Stay here, but don't go too far away because I might need you," he instructs as he hurries down to the planet. Les comes running to him.

"Davey!" he cries as the two of them embrace. Suddenly, footsteps approach and Davey shoves Les behind him, making sure that his lightsaber is still in his hand.

"Well if isn't the infamous Davey Jacobs," Spot Conlon says. Relations of recently had been tense between the two planets of Nylkoorb and Nattahnam so Davey has no clue how this is going to go.

"It's good to see you again, Spot," Davey attempts, trying his best to keep things civil. There was no need to start a battle. At least not now.

"Good to see you too," Spot says offering his hand and the two shake hands. He notices Les peeking out from behind Davey. "Well if it isn't Little Jacobs Junior? How ya doing, kid?" Les comes out and promptly shakes hands with Spot.

"Good. Glad to be on your planet," Les says happily. Spot smirks happily and leads the boys forward.

"Come on. I have an appointment that I need to be at shortly but you boys are more than welcome to view the city. People are just doing their thing around here, living life," he says. Davey looks around nervously as they start walking. Spot invites the boys into the speeder and they climb in. He drives into the city faster than Davey would have liked.

"Thank you for bringing us into the city. If you don't mind, we'll look around and maybe find someone to repair any damage that may have happened to the X-Wing," Davey says. He senses that something is wrong...very wrong. This almost feels like a trap. Les looks around the city very eager to explore.

"I want to go see the sights, Davey. Come on, we've got to go," he exclaims, reaching for his brother's hand.

"Something isn't right here," Davey says, glancing cautiously around.

Meanwhile in another part of the galaxy, a young girl is sitting in front of a swamp, gazing out and thinking about what she could do as a Jedi. Suddenly, she feels some sort of worry through the Force. She stands straight up and turns to her master.

"Master Yoda, something's wrong. There are Jedi in danger," she exclaims.

"Good of you to notice, that is. Stay here with me you will and complete your training you must," Yoda replies wisely.

"They're in trouble. Mush!" the girl panics, "He's with them. He's in danger."

"Not ready are you," Yoda warns, "Far from danger you must stay."

"But Mush and all of the others," she pleads.

"Need your help they do not. Rush into things you should not. Stubborn you are and cause trouble you do," Yoda warns, "Not a quiet and peaceful Jedi are you."

"I know that," she responds frustrated by the situation, "But they are going to suffer."

"Stronger Jedi they will become," Yoda advises, "Help them you would not." The girl slumps back to the ground, frowning. She has been on this stinking swamp planet for the past two years and the other Jedi haven't visited in quite some time.

"I don't understand why you won't let me go," she says moodily, "I would be just fine and I feel confident in my skills."

"Stay! Elley, great danger there is. All of the Jedi the Empire wishes to destroy. Hide you must to preserve the Jedi," Yoda states. Elley nods her head thoughtfully.

"My brother would want me to do that," she says softly, "Know this, Master Yoda. I never run from a fight and I will not stay quiet and hidden forever. Someone must save the Rebels." Yoda scratches his head in thought.

"Hide until this battle ends, you must.  If that you do, you will see the other Jedi again," he says.

"Are you sure?" Elley asks, knowing that the future was always in motion and very uncertain.

"Not sure...yet," Yoda says, "Wait until the battle begins we must."

Elley scooches over in front of the swamp again, thinking of her brother and the rest of the Rebels.

She, Elley Kelly, would not let the Rebels or the Jedi die without a fight.

Davey and Elley share the same uncertainty from different parts of the galaxy. He continues to weave through the streets with Les by his side and his lightsaber in hand. Suddenly, he is shoved up against a wall. A blaster is pointed at his chest.

"Looks like we've found ourselves a Jedi, Morris," Oscar Delancey says, his blaster never leaving Davey. Morris Delancey pulls out a similar blaster and aims it at Les. Davey sends a mental cry for help through the Force.

"And you found a Rebel fighter," Les pronounces proudly.

"You're the one who got us into this mess," Davey scolds his brother.

"And now I'm gonna get us out of this," Les responds.

"Enough stalling. Let's take you two to Darth Snyder. He'll be thrilled to have a Jedi in his possession," Morris snarls. Suddenly, a force push shoves the Delanceys into each other and Oscar tips over a trash can onto himself while he's trying to stand up. Mush lowers his hand and smiles as the other four boys stand behind him. All of their lightsabers hum as they are ignited. Davey ignites his own and Les comes to stand in between the Jedi and the bounty hunter brothers.

"Now, we can do this the easy way or the hard way," Les states, his arms crossed across his too big flight suit.

Oscar and Morris start shooting their blasters at the Jedi.

"Les, get back," Davey shouts as he starts to deflect the blaster fire using his lightsaber. Suddenly, a red lightsaber zings and crosses with Davey's own. Darth Snyder turns to the Delancey brothers.

"I'll take it here from, boys," Darth Snyder says calmly, "Unless you want to help me take these Jedi to our headquarters."

"I don't think you can," Les proclaims sassily.
"Les, don't," Davey snaps, glaring at Darth Snyder.

"You're wise," Darth Snyder snarls, "And foolish to be a Jedi." In a small fit of rage, Davey shoves back against the Sith Lord. Darth Snyder recovers quickly and the two begin to duel. Mush, Elmer, Henry, Specs, and Finch all step in to help but Snyder disables them quickly. He shoves Henry and Elmer into each other and knocks something heavy down on top of them. The two Jedi are unconscious as the large object smacks down on their head. Specs, Finch, and Mush flank Davey.

"You would be wise to give up," Davey taunts.

"It is you who would be wise to give up," Darth Snyder replies. Davey continues dueling with Darth Snyder and Imperial Stormtroopers come out to attack the remaining standing Jedi. "I would take the rest of your friends out myself but it doesn't look like you're going to let me do that. I'll have to deal with you myself." Mush lifts the large object off of Henry and Elmer, allowing the two to maybe wake up. The other three Jedi start to take out the Imperial troopers. Spot catches a glimpse of the battle happening from his meeting with the Imperial Officer Wiesel. He excuses himself for a minute, not wanting his whole city to become destroyed because of the Imperials. Who cared if the pay was good? Spot needs a city to rule and it looks as though the Imperials are going to destroy it.

"Don't leave, Conlon," Wiesel snarls. Spot straightens up and turns to the man.

"You are in my city. I think you'll do as I say. I'm still the leader here and I am letting you stay in my city but if there's other matters I need to attend to, I'll do it. Now if you'll excuse me," he snaps as he exits the room and goes to a more private place. He contacts the Rebel base via his commlink.

"Spot Conlon, to what do we owe the pleasure?" Jack Kelly's voice comes through on the other side.
"Jacky Boy, I need some flying reinforcements. Some of your Jedi are here but, I don't know how they're going to take all of these troopers out," Spot answers.

"Are you doing what I think you're doing?" Jack asks.

"Yes, I'm picking a side. Don't mess this up, Kelly," Spot says as he turns off the commlink.

On the other end of the call, Jack calls out to his pilots,

"Boys, we gotta battle to win!" The Rebels took to their planes immediately. Just before Jack starts to lift off, Katherine runs over to him.

"Don't die out there. I need someone to marry," she says before pulling him in for a kiss. Jack smiles, kissing her passionately as they often did before battles until Race interrupts them,

"Hey Kelly! Quit kissing and starting flying. We have some Jedi to save!" Jack lets go of Katherine and turns to her as he climbs up the ladder to his X-Wing.

"I love you, Ace!! Don't ever forget that," he calls as the lid to his cockpit comes down securing him. Jack starts to lead the Rebel fleet out into the battle. He contacts Skittery to get him in on the battle. The usual bickering of the two brotherly pilots rings through the commlink as Jack pulls them into the same transmission as the rest of the pilots, who are bantering back and forth as well.

"Hey, in my defense, you're the one who forgot to clean the other droid last time I checked and you left something detached that wasn't supposed to be," Race's voice can be heard over the system. Jack rolls his eyes.

"Okay, fellas. Take out any troopers you see but don't destroy the city entirely. Spot still wants something to rule," he instructs. The different wings report in and Jack gives the different squadrons their assignments before they head off. He watches as Race leads the red squadron across one side of the city and Kid Blink leads another squadron up the other. Jack swoops in heading right down the middle as troopers start to harass random citizens now too who just happen to be in the middle of the battle. Using his blasters, Jack starts to shoot at the different troopers taking them out one at a time.

"That's what I'm talking about!!" Jojo shouts as he does. Jack beams at the younger boy's cheering as he shoots some troopers himself. Boots, Pie Eater, Splasher and Buttons all flank him as well. There are five more X-Wings behind them that are busy taking out troopers.

"Keep it together, boys. We don't want to give them enough time to take flight. Red Squadron, try to take out their ships if you can. We don't want them to do more damage than they already have" Jack instructs as they continue the fight.

Davey and the Jedi continue the fight from the ground. Blue clashes against red as the Jedi and Sith fight. Davey knows he doesn't necessarily have the high ground in the battle but he's trying anyways. Les is sitting huddled up in a corner, terrified at the explosions happening around him. R2D2, who the boy had forgotten was on his ship, comes rolling up to him.

"R2!" Les cries out happily, throwing his arms around the little droid. Henry and Elmer regain consciousness and continue the fight as they wave their lightsabers around to take out troopers and block blaster bolts from hitting them. Two troopers approach Les and the droid. R2 immediately notices, oils the ground and then sets the troopers on fire. Les and R2 run  off to find a new hiding spot.

Davey and Darth Snyder keep clashing their blades hard against each other until suddenly, Davey uses the Force to shut off Snyder's lightsaber and goes to push it away only to have Snyder Force choke him to stop him.

"You dare to make this an unfair fight and I will end you," Snyder threatens, calling his lightsaber back to him. He calls Davey's to him as well and pushes the young Jedi to his knees. Igniting the two lightsabers, Darth Snyder crosses them and holds them at the boy's neck. Davey struggles to free himself of the Force choke. Mush can feel the choke being used through the Force and wastes no time clashing his own green blade against the red and blue. Snyder, surprised, releases an unconscious Davey. Mush calls Davey's ignited lightsaber to his own hand. Jedi and Sith begin to fight again. Mush uses both blades in the combat. The three different colors clashing and raging against each other as those dueling with them fight.

"Nobody kills a fellow Jedi of mine. Nobody," Mush says angrily.

"I can sense the anger and hatred within you, boy. Wouldn't you like to be able to keep your friend's inevitable death from happening with powers that the Dark Side has to offer? Not only his life, but of the entire Rebellion, specifically the youngest Kelly," Snyder goads. The anger hits a peak in Mush and he starts to lash out against the Sith.

"I'll never join the Dark Side. She would never want me to," Mush responds furiously.

"How do you know? What if it meant saving your insignificant Rebellion?" Darth Snyder asks. At that point Davey starts to wake up, he can see Mush contemplating the situation. Mush starts to speak with Elley telepathically. Darth Snyder concentrates, reading the boy's every thought.

"Elley? Can you hear me?" Mush asks.

"Yes, something's very wrong. You're in trouble but Master Yoda won't let me leave. I'm sorry I can't help you," Elley replies, worry and concern radiating across their bond. Darth Snyder raises the lightsaber preparing to swing.

"Darth Snyder wants me to turn to the Dark Side and if I do, the Rebellion will be saved," Mush explains to Elley.

"Don't do it!! Mush, nothing matters then. You cannot turn to the Dark!!" Elley cries out, fear now radiating across their bond.

"But, I can protect you!" Mush cries out.

"No!! You won't!! Master Yoda's been teaching me of these traps. They'll find a way to kill me anyways as long as I am a Jedi. Even the Sith are disposable to the ones higher in power," Elley warns.

Mush thinks for a moment longer and looks up at Darth Snyder.

"Alright, Elley. Snyder's probably going to kill me and there's something I need to say," Mush starts, "I love..."

Snyder suddenly pushes Mush to his knees and calls all three lightsabers to him, shoving Davey's off to the side but holding on to Mush's.

"I see where your loyalty lies," Darth Snyder growls, holding both lightsabers at Mush's neck.

Elley, on Dagobah, gasps at the unfinished statement. She could sense fear and pain resonating through her Force bond with Mush. How could it happen like this? She always had a feeling but now that he had started to say it and couldn't even finish it, she is heartbroken.

"I love you, Mush. I just want you to know that no matter what happens. I love you," Elley says through their telepathic bond. She can still feel that Mush is alive and she looks over to see her Master looking at her disapprovingly.

"A wise move you have made," Yoda, to Elley's surprise, praises her. Elley smiles at her Master in relief as he smiles approvingly. " Fear do not, the battle they will win," he reassures his Padawan, "Now time for Jedi to eat, yes? Come! Good food!" Elley chuckles and follows her Master to his odd little swamp hut for their evening meal.

Back in the skies of the battle field, Jack spots a huge squadron of Imperial troopers heading towards the group of Jedi ferociously fighting them off. Race and Albert on the other hand are fighting over who should blow up a large Imperial fighter.

"You blow it up!" Race says to Albert, "I'm the squadron commander and you do as I say."

"Why on Earth did we put him in charge?" Smalls asks from her fighter.

"Because I'm the best pilot and you know it!" Race replies.

"Then blow the ship up!" Albert replies.

"No, I don't want to. What if they come after us?" Race asks.

"Like you're scared of that?" Romeo calls out from the back.

"Aww, whatever. It would be nicer of me to let Albert blow it up though," Race says, "And I'm always looking out for my number one buddy." Albert sighs and moves into more of an attack position.

"Fine, I'll blow it up," he groans preparing his blasters when Race leaps in at the last second.

"PSYCH!!!" Race yells as he shoots at the ship blowing it to smithereens. The group continues their assault on the Imperial ships with cheers.

Jack rolls his eyes at the antics of the other squadron and starts to shoot the Imperial troopers. Davey, who is starting to wake up, notices and watches as an explosion erupts. Flames lick the alleyway viciously and Davey force pushes Snyder into the thick of the explosion. He stands up and calls Mush's lightsaber back just as Snyder hits the flames. It lands snugly in Mush's hand, who uses it to fight off the blasters.

The troopers put up a little fight when they notice that their commander is gone. Few of them are loyal enough to Emperor Pulitzer to continue the fight. Skittery notices the Jedi congregated in one area and navigates the Manhattan down to them. The grateful Jedi board the ship and the group flies off, grateful for another victory.

A few days later, Spot Conlon contacts the Rebel Base, thanking them for their help and that after some renovations, his city would be in perfect condition structurally. He also informed the Rebels that if they ever needed help, they could always rely on Nylkoorb.

The Rebels smiled at each other. Another battle won and another ally gained. One step closer to defeating their Emperor.

AN:/ Happy May the 4th or May the 4th be with you!!! Hope you guys enjoyed this one. Sorry it came out early on the 5th but it's still out close enough. I hope you enjoyed it!! I tried to make it as fun as possible!! I also hope you liked how the boys were in this whether they were Jedi or just plain Rebels. There was honestly a lot going on. I would also like to promote my REAL Star Wars book: Stars and Sabers (which sadly did not receive an update today but that's okay. I wanted to do something Newsies). I really hope this was just a fun read for everybody.

And I know I'm being a tease with Mush and Elley. They're so close, you guys. So close. I hope you guys liked all of the references to the different Star Wars things. I threw a lot in there and there's a lot of plot points or battle styles that reflect those of the OT and the Prequels. Thank you so much for reading. Feel free to drop a comment or two as you read. I enjoy reading your thoughts!!! Thanks so much for doing whatever it is you guys to do to show your support. I appreciate it!! See you soon!!

Aisling the Musical, Pape-Selling, Timetravelling, Pineapple-Loving, Flying, Lasso wielding, Jedi!! (Comment your thoughts on how I could shorten this, please. I'm trying something new.) In case you were wondering...that's all of my major fandoms combined. Musical is just because I'm musical. Pape-Selling =Newsies, Timetravelling=Back to the Future, Pineapple-Loving=Psych, Flying=Peter Pan, Lasso wielding=Wonder Woman and Jedi (obviously)=Star Wars!!! :) Feel free to tell me if I missed any big fandoms or how can I rearrange this to be more....flowing together. Thanks!!!

P.S. Next oneshot is going to be the one that was requested!! I was going to make it the next thing that I did when I updated the book but I wanted to do something for May 4th and I've been toying with doing a Newsies/Star Wars crossover for awhile now.
