The Craziness At Coney Island

Modern AU. Shoutout to the person who requested this in like January. I'm sorry I'm just getting to it now. I'm real bad at doing requests in a timely fashion but hey, we're trying. The person who is requested this is no longer on Wattpad according to our comment stream. :( Mabel, the OC for this one, is theirs and not mine. I'm going to do this anyways just because I'm keeping my word. Also, Mabel is going to become a regular character in this book along with Katie, Falcon, and Pups, who belong to BeckyMerari1808, Runner_Weirdo, and 23gatkins respectively. For the rest of you, I don't think this really fits in anywhere with the timeline storyline thing so.....yeah. It's just there. :) I did some research on Coney Island since the user requested that I do an amusement park Modern AU where the Newsies go to an amusement park and get a sugar high and all that so here we are. This takes place at Coney Island since there are some rides and stuff there and it's right in New York. I would not count on the accuracy of this one for the amusement park. I did some research but, I've never been to this place so I don't 100% know how it works. Hope you peeps enjoy!!

The day Mabel Hall met the Newsies was a day that changed her life forever. Actually....that's probably an understatement.....but that's not the point and nor is it really important at the moment.

In all her fifteen years and living in two different cities, Baltimore and now New York City, specifically Lower Manhattan, she had never met such interesting and spontaneous people.

She came across them in the hall one day at school and had been intrigued by them ever since. Being the extrovert that she is, she gladly went up and introduced herself to the boy who appeared to be the leader. Jack Kelly was very accepting of her offer of friendship and took it gladly.  Mabel may not call herself a Newsie but she still hangs around the group often enough that they are close friends of hers.

Today, they are on their way to Luna Park in Coney Island to kick off the summer since this was the last day of school for them. Mabel walks up with the rest of the group chattering happily about summer plans. The group plans to get together multiple times over the summer outside of the confining restrictions of high school.

Davey, who was at the head of the group, firmly leans down and starts talking to Les.

"Okay, you cannot have more than 500mg of sugar. If you do, I'll be regretting this for the rest of my life. Sugar is not good for your body and it makes you crazier than Jack's idea of wanting to move west," he instructs his younger brother.

"Hey!" Jack calls out from where he is walking, not too far away from Davey.

"But, Daaavvveeeeyyyy," Les replies trying to argue his point, "I really really like sugar. It's the last day of school and I've survived fourth grade. Why can't I just have a little extra sugar today?"

"Because," Davey says, trying to come up with a logical string of words to counteract his brother's point, "you just can't. What would Mom and Dad say?" Les screws up his face in thought for a minute.

"They'd be fine with it. Do you realize how many times Sarah has let me have the bowl after she's done scooping out cookie dough and how many times Mom HASN'T said a thing?" he retorts. Davey's brow furrows in frustration.

"Alright, fine. Just....don't do anything stupid," he concedes. Les strokes an imaginary beard in thought.

"Hmmmm, I'll think about it," he says carefully. Davey rolls his eyes and Mabel walks up next to him.

"Davey, don't worry about him. He's not as crazy as some of the guys. One time, I saw Race dancing in a tutu on a diving board. He wasn't wearing a shirt just the tutu and a pair of swim trunks and then Flavi went over to ask him a question and he fell in," she says, starting to laugh at her own story, "and it was the FUNNIEST thing I've ever seen." Race's face flushes a light shade of pink at Mabel's story.

"Yeah? And then you fell in because Albert flipped the ring you were sitting on over!" he fights back with his own story.

"I never really put up that much of a fight," Mabel replies, "and I wasn't expecting him to do it. At least I can defend my fall."

"Flavi...Flavi..." Race stammers, trying to think up a logical reason why he was standing on the diving board in a tutu in the first place.

"What did I do, Race?" Flavi asks, "As I recall, all I did was ask you a question."

"Yeah but that's what happened..." Race replies, "You scared me when you asked me the question." Flavi resists the urge to roll her eyes.

"I don't know what to do with you somedays," she says quietly before walking up to talk to Katie, Elley, Falcon, and Pups. Mabel chuckles as she continues walking with the guys.

"Would your sister say the same thing as your girlfriend did?" she asks Race, nudging him with her elbow.

"Ummmmmmm," Race stammers, "Flavi ain't my girlfriend."

"At least not yet," Mabel teases. Race rolls his eyes.

"Oh yeah? And like you haven't made eyes at one of the fellas in this group," he contests. Mabel straightens up a little bit.

"No comment," she says quickly, suddenly finding her right pinky fingernail very interesting.

"Uh huh," Race replies snarkily, "That's what I thought."

The group approaches the gates to Luna Park. Rides tower behind the black wrought iron gates, causing everyone in the group to perk up with excitement. Screams echo from the Cyclone alerting Mable of the thrills she is about to embark on with her friends. Who cares if her aunt and uncle never liked roller coasters themselves? Nothing was going to stop Mable from riding them. The group did not have to pay enter but, they had to pay for each individual ride that they wished to go on. Thankfully, Mabel had brought plenty of money with her to buy as many snacks as she wanted and to ride as many rides as she desired.

To start off and to celebrate, Mabel has the brilliant idea to buy some strawberry Twizzlers.

And this is where the trouble began. Not to blame Mabel for the cause of the problems because she had absolutely no control over what those in the rest of the group chose to do.

When the rest of the group, minus Davey, Crutchie, Jack, and Flavi (she could kind of see the consequences of a high sugar intake from a mile away but she wouldn't admit that), noticed Mabel buying Twizzlers, they decided that they should buy some sort of sugary snack as well.

"Oh no," Davey says the moment he saw the long line of boys waiting to buy something from the Sugary Snack Shack.

"Eh, a few laps up and down the beach will use up all the energy from the sugar before it even really hits em," Jack replies, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly, "but just in case we can't make them run laps on the beach, anybody else want to join in on the fun?"

"You're as bad as the rest of the boys,"Davey remarks coolly and then he turns to Flavi, "Right? Don't you agree with me at least?" Flavi shrugs her shoulders.

"Come on, Davey. There's no shame in letting them have a little fun," Crutchie says, "We've all been sitting in classrooms for hours on end listening to certain boring teachers drone on and on about certain topics. Don't you think it's okay to let them cut loose a little? It is their last day of school." Davey winces anyways and starts to walk away from them.

"I'll be...off to the side digging my grave...I mean...waiting for a ride," he calls out heading over to a nearby park bench.

"Is he going to be okay? Race has said he's a little....protective at times," Flavi asks nervously.

"Eh, he'll be fine. You should see him on a sugar high. Almost as scary as his brother," Jack answers with absolutely no worry in his voice whatsoever, "Besides, have you seen Race on a sugar high?"

"Actually yes. On Christmas Eve, he had eaten one too many peanut butter cups and he got a little hyper. All of the girls went back to our own apartment and at midnight, Race started throwing Patches' cat toys at my window so he could get my attention and tell me it was Christmas. I was very confused. He was talking so fast that I couldn't understand him and then he wouldn't stop," Flavi recalls.

"That's why Patches and I can never find her cat toys around Christmas time," Crutchie exclaims all of a sudden. Jack chuckles and shakes his head.

"Don't tell Davey this but uh...he has every right to be afraid....very afraid," he says with a small smirk, "Davey has not seen all of these boys and girls on a sugar high at the same time. It's intense and that's putting it mildly."

"Aren't you going to tell him?"Flavi asks a little nervously.

"Nah," Jack says, glancing at his friend over on the park bench, "he'll just get to go along for the ride."

Meanwhile, Mabel is sitting on a park bench with Les and the two of them are sharing the package of Twizzlers that Mable purchased.

"So, Les? Davey says you're not aloud to have sugar?" she asks as she pulls out a sticky strand of candy from the bright red packaging.

"No, but Davey's not my mom," Les replies, "My real mom lets me do all kinds of fun things and she lets me have chocolate. Davey and I have to share a room so that's why he doesn't like it when I eat too much sugar. That and he said it's bad for my body or something but really, I'm going to enjoy it while I'm young."

"You should. Eat lots of candy when you're in high school. It's how you survive. That and an absurd amount of fanfiction," Mabel advises, breaking off a strand of strawberry Twizzler. Les steals one from the package and swiftly bites it in half.

"I've never read a fanfiction or written one but I see Davey writing in his diary a lot and I've read it. From what I've heard, fanfiction can get pretty crazy and Davey's diary is pretty crazy so, I think that's about as close as it gets," Les decides as he fiddles with the other half of the Twizzler. Mabel nods her head in understanding.

"You should also do things. Like big things in high school. Get involved in stuff. You know, you would be really good in the school musical when you become old enough," she says encouragingly.

"You really think so?" Les asks.

"Are you kidding me? You would be perfect at it," Mabel encourages before sticking the rest of the Twizzlers in her backpack, "I think we should ride some rides."

"There aren't that many rides here and none of them are really that cool," Les says with a shrug of his shoulders.

"I've never been here before," Mabel says sadly, hurt a bit by the younger boy's words, "I've never really been to an amusement park before."

"What???" Les exclaims, his hands flying up in the air, "You haven't?"

"No and I've always wanted to go to one but I never got to," Mabel replies sadly. Les grabs her hand and start pulling her towards the Coney Island Cyclone.

"You have got to try this one!! It is so much fun!!" he says.

"I thought everything here wasn't that cool," Mabel recalls. Les' face flushes red for a split second.

"Well, I mean if you've been hear lots of times...."he says, clearly embarrassed.

"Dozens?" Mabel replies, "I don't have enough money to go to amusement parks dozens of times."

"Well, my siblings and I would come here when we had enough to ride some rides from our allowance....which may not have been quite a dozen times," Les exaggerates.

"I see," Mabel reasons, "A dozen times is kind of a lot. What stops you from going now?"

"Everybody's older now, I guess. They have to worry about adult things. I'm the only remotely little kid still in my family," Les says sadly with a shrug of his shoulders. Mabel looks the younger boy in the eye and puts a hand on his shoulder.

"I will always go on roller coaster rides with you. No matter how old we get," she affirms reassuringly, "It's hard to grow up and not everybody should jump into it at once."

"Yeah, I just wish my siblings saw it the same way," Les continues, shooting a sad glance in Davey's direction. Mabel pulls him into a hug and Les squeaks in surprise.

"I'm sure they do. You just need to ask them," she advises, "Get your brother to come on the Cyclone with us. I'm sure he can't refuse." Les shrugs his shoulders before turning to her.

"Nah....we don't need him. All he's gonna do is tell us we can't have sugar and create chaos!! And that is no way to spend the last day of school," he replies. He hurries over towards Tumblr, Boots, and a bunch of the other boys. Les returns with the entire rest of the group in tow.

"Everyone's coming on the Cyclone?" asks Mabel skeptically.

"Of course!" Romeo calls out, "I'll hold your hand if you get scared."

"You sweat when you're scared!" Mabel says, "Remember that story you told me about gym class a couple weeks ago when you were trying to impress Vanessa? You had totally pitted out your shirt and then you showed it to me and I was embarrassed for you!"

"Mabel!" Romeo cries out turning red in front of the rest of the boys.

"Let's just get on the ride," Specs says trying to break the awkwardness and starting to move towards the Cyclone.

"Yeah, I'm with ya," Henry says and Mabel follows the rest of the group trying to keep quiet. She looks up at the ride and as the group approaches, noticing the safety belts and restraints.

"Those are really going to keep us safe?" she asks to no one in particular.

"No, people fall out the minute the coaster turns upside down," Skittery replies sarcastically, "Of course they work. Wouldn't have the ride if they didn't."

Meanwhile, a little bit farther up in the line, Race is pouring a box of Mike and Ike's into his mouth while Albert, Romeo and a couple other guys are cheering him on.

"He's gonna choke," Mabel says unenthusiastically.

"It's Race," Henry says, "He's probably done worse."

"Well, if he's going to do that, somebody's gotta be able to keep up with him," Mabel replies pulling out Twizzler after Twizzler. She starts eating them quickly.

"You probably don't want to do that right before the ride," Mush tries to advise. Mabel shrugs her shoulders nonchalantly.

"We know from experience," Elley replies trying to encourage Mabel to not do any more. Mabel looks her in the eye and finishes off the package.

"I will suffer the consequences. Thank you very much," she says, throwing the package away into a nearby trash can. Les, a few feet away was eating someone's Sweet Tarts. Most of the Newsies were eating some form of sugar shortly before the ride. Mush and Elley split a Hershey's bar and Blink ate a giant Kit Kat. Henry, Elmer, and Jojo were eating some M&Ms and then peanut butter cups.

At this point, no one in the group was entirely sure how they were all going to be held together but for some reason they continued onto the ride anyways. Each member of the group hands over their money.

"You ready?" Pups, a younger girl asks excitedly.

"I don't know. I don't know if I'm really going to like this or not," Mabel answers.

"If you get scared, just close your eyes," Falcon says, "I tell my brother to do that but all he does is scream. Typical Racetrack Higgins kid that he is."

"I come here all the time on dates with Oscar," Katie says kindly, "Trust me, there's nothing to be afraid of. We ride the Cyclone frequently." Mabel nods her head nervously.

"Oooookkkkkaaaaayyyy," she says, drawing it out. Happy to be included in the small cluster of girls, Mabel sits next to Falcon, who shows her how to put the straps on correctly. Mabel jitters her leg half out of nervousness and half out of the high sugar intake. Falcon notices and chuckles.

"I have had a lot of Skittles and I've been known to do crazy things like my brother when I'm on a sugar high. Which it's safe to assume that everyone on this ride is at this point. Let's just hope Katherine doesn't show up later," Falcon thinks out loud. The people in control of the ride count down and soon the ride takes off. Mabel shrieks out of joy and fear as the ride speeds up. The rest of the boys all have their hands in the air and are screaming like little girls. Falcon grins and starts to move her foot to the edge of the car.

"Your foot's gonna get hurt!" Mabel shouts. Falcon just laughs, the sugar already taking over.

"Don't worry about it. I've had worse," she replies, still laughing. Mabel starts laughing too. They scream the whole way through the rest of the ride even when it's just a straight track. As the group is getting off, Blink shoves Albert playfully who runs right into the emergency button on the wall. The whole park starts shrieking loudly.

"Get out of here! Go!" Mabel yells as the group unsuccessfully hurries out only to have the park staff trying to chase after them.

Meanwhile, sitting on a park bench, Jack, Crutchie, and Flavi all hear the alarms going off.

"Uh oh," Crutchie says.

"You two wanna go on a ride? Atlantic Aviator is always fun," Jack suggests. Flavi shrugs her shoulders.

"I wouldn't mind," she says, starting to stand up. Jack and Crutchie stand up as well.

"Hey, Davey!" Jack calls over to the other boy.

"Yeah?" Davey asks.

"You wanna go on a ride? I have a feeling the rest of them might get kicked out here shortly. They're creating chaos," Jack replies.

"That's their specialty," Crutchie says softly. Flavi hears and starts chuckling.

"What?" Jack asks.

"Nothing," Crutchie replies, "It's really nothing."

"Uh huh," Jack replies turning back to Davey, "Dave, ya comin?"

"Yeah, I guess. What are we riding?" Davey asks nervously.

"Atlantic Aviator," Jack replies.

"Alright. Whatever..." Davey replies nonchalantly.

Meanwhile on the other end of the park, Les is talking a million miles hour.

"And I saw a unicorn that was dancing on a cloud in a bright pink tutu and Davey told me that it was crazy. But I said I was going to be lucky. And then I saw a hulu dancer coming flying out of a car the other day when Sarah and I were walking home from the store. There was a cool bird tapping on my window the other day. A toad jumped across a puddle in the middle of the street. I saw Tinkerbell fall out of the sky and a cloud ate her and then....." he says.

"And then we all went to a fairy tale land and cried because of how cliche and unrealistic it was," Skittery finishes for him. Skittery was one of the few Newsies who wasn't highly affected by sugar. He was a little loopier and snarkier than normal but still mostly himself.

"My Algebra teacher told me I need to pay more attention in class and that I need more structure in my life but really I think I'm doing just fine. I also studied for a Chemistry test for a solid fifteen minutes and passed it. I don't need structure. I just need sugar and friends and we should go on that ride again. It was soooo much fun," Mabel says, talking to Les just as fast as he had been talking.

So, they went on the Cyclone again....and five more times after that.

Then they had the brilliant idea to ride the Atlantic Aviator, the ride that Jack, Crutchie, Flavi, and Davey (though begrudgingly) were preparing to get on at this very moment.

The rest of the group followed Mabel and Les because they didn't really have anything else to do and they were curious how the two most sugar high in the whole group were going to hold up.

The Atlantic Aviator proved to quite a thrill as Mabel screamed the whole time they were on that ride.

"If you would have fallen, I would have caught ya," Romeo starts flirtatiously.

"You would have?" Mabel asks skeptically.

"Would have caught ya in love," Romeo finishes. Albert for some reason just bursts into a fit of giggles. Mabel starts joining him and Romeo, encouraged by the reactions he got and the sugar in his body, decides to keep going, hitting on the different girls.

The group spots Jack, Crutchie, Flavi, and Davey just a short ways up the line.

"It's Jacky Boyyyyyyyyyyy!!" Race screams out excitedly.

"And Crutchieeeeeeeeee!!!" Albert shouts out, drawing several odd looks from the people around them.

"Fellas," Jack calls out casually, reaching for the Whoppers that Bumlets offers him.

"No!" Davey cries out, "not you too."

"Oh come on, Davey. A box of Whoppers ain't gonna kill me," Jack says, taking the box from Bumlets and pouring some into his palm. Davey sighs in despair. It was going to be a very long rest of the day.

The group climbs onto the Atlantic Aviator...or at least as many of them that will fit on there at one time.  Screams echo all over the park as the group on the ride swings around.

Suddenly, a group of staff comes running out and spots the small group standing at the bottom of the ride.

"Hey! You set the alarms off in the park! You know what kinda trouble you could've caused us. The fire department thinks that they need to show up because somebody's stuck on the Ferris Wheel," one of the staff members accuses, the rest of the group advancing slowly behind the single employee.

"We did?" Kid Blink, who is standing at the bottom of the ride asks.

"Oh right! Like you wouldn't have noticed and I'm the Mayor of New York City," the employee snaps in reply.

"Hey, I kinda like her. She's kinda sassy," Blink mumbles to Mush and Elley. The employee crosses her arms in annoyance.

"Fire department is going to be here in ten minutes at the most. I would run if I were you," she starts, "Oh wait! They told me to keep hold of the troublemakers if there were any until the cops got here. Distracting emergency forces is a crime."

"We didn't distract them on purpose," Blink says, starting to get more aggressive, "Albert just had to trip and fall into the emergency stop button."

"Didn't you...?" Elley starts but Blink shushes her.

"Now's not the time to speculate about how things went down," he snaps at her quietly. Suddenly, the Atlantic Aviator about the group's head comes to a screeching halt. Screams sound out from the top as the whole group is stopped at the top.

"I JUST WANTED TO SEE WHAT THE FLASHY RED BUTTON DID!!!" Elmer shouts from the top of the ride.

"DON'T PUSH IT!!!!" Mabel yells from her part of the ride. Suddenly, an entire package of M&Ms falls from someone's pocket...it's pretty safe to assume that it was Tumblr's...and lands on the ground with a resounding SMACK.

Meanwhile up on the ride, Mabel is dangling upside down in between Les and Pups.

"You know...." Les starts, "I have some Hershey's Gold if anyone wants a piece."

"Why would you carry that with you on the ride?" Mabel asks incredulously.

"In case I got hungry," Les replies. He reaches for it and it falls out of his pocket....smacking the already angry employee on the head.

"Uh oh," Pups says nervously but before the group can watch the madness unfold, the ride starts moving again. Once they exit the Atlantic Aviator, the group makes a beeline for the Thunderbolt. Mabel looks up at it nervously.

"I'm not sure I want to go on this one either," she says, "It's a straight drop."

"It's a drop into the deep blue sea where you never come out alive," Skittery says a little too excited about it for his own good. The group continues munching on candy and other sugary snacks. Henry and Finch each have a package of Smarties. They board the roller coaster on opposite ends of the coaster. This may not seem important now but it will be.

Mabel sits next to Crutchie, who rides this roller coaster every single time he comes to Luna Park.

"You'll be fine and if you get nervous, grab my hand and I'll think nothing of it," he says sweetly.

"Aww. Thank you. That's very nice of you," Mabel says and the coaster starts to take off. The long and somewhat intense climb has Mabel clinging to the side of the coaster. As the roller coaster clicks its way up the side, it only sounds ominous. It reaches the top and soon they go flying down. Mabel latches on tight to Crutchie's arm and screams the whole way down....until a package of Smarties smacks her in the forehead and smacks everyone in front of her in the back of the head all the way down to the front of the coaster where Henry is sitting. A package of Smarties goes whizzing by her ear and Crutchie looks back to see Finch with his hand slightly more extended than it should have been. The ride comes to a screeching halt right in the middle of the drop. Mabel starts gasping loudly.

"Just relax," Crutchie says, looking a bit uneasy himself despite how many times he has ridden the ride, "This will all get figured out here in a second." A voice comes over a loudspeaker,

"There will be no playing catch with Smarties packages." Then the ride sits still for a second longer before the person says again, "If anyone still has them, they must be dropped." Two Smartie packages fly over the side of the coaster. The ride then takes off again at a flying pace causing everyone on it to scream. As the group exits the ride, Mabel is a little shaken up from all of the events but still enjoyed it anyway. Unfortunately, park security is waiting for the group at the exit to the ride and the group is escorted out of Luna Park. As the group starts walking towards their various vehicles, a voice with a distinct Brooklyn accent chuckles at their misfortune.

"Bet I can cause more trouble, win over the feisty employee girl and get away with all of it better than any of you could," Spot Conlon challenges. Jack rolls his eyes but Race, who already has sugar as a catalyst, takes off.

"Oh yeah? We'll see about that. I'm pretty sure I could do better than you," he snaps back. Mabel smirks at Spot.

"Besides, causing trouble and making a big deal out of it is fun anyways," she says to him even though they've never met before.

"Oh really? How come all of you look sad that you're on the sorry side of the gates?" Spot asks with another chuckle, "See you around." He saunters in the park with a strong swagger. Mabel watches him leave before Jack starts leading the group towards the beach.

"Thank goodness that's over with. I'll be surprised if you boys can get yourselves kicked off the beach," Mabel says as they make the walk over to the beach.

"Oh, you'd be surprised," Davey says. The boys are all laughing and talking, still on a sugar high as they walk to the beach. Once they reach it, Specs, Elmer, Albert, and Race all run and fall face first into the sand.

"I should have known that the fuss at the amusement park was all caused by you," the voice of Katherine Pulitzer rings through the air from a nearby park bench.

"Hey listen," Jack starts to protest but Katherine places a finger on his lips.

"Oh you wouldn't believe it," Davey starts, "It's been terrible trying to keep them all in line."

"It can't be that bad. It was our last day of school," Katherine says, gesturing to Sarah at the other end of the park bench, "We're just enjoying a nice day out here until the ruckus at the park started up."

"The ruckus was not entirely my fault," Jack starts to explain.

"I don't care if it was or not," Katherine says, leaning up and planting a kiss on his lips, "I never will stop admiring how trouble you can manage to get yourself into."

"Same for you," Jack says, returning the kiss. Mabel shifts awkwardly.

"Didn't know Jack was into PDA," she says. Jack pulls away and rolls his eyes at Mabel.

"Did you have fun?" Sarah asks the group.

"I did!" Mabel says, "And that was my first time at an amusement park!"

"And that is all that matters," Crutchie replies just as there is a huge scream and a splash as a group of the boys are fighting in their clothes in the ocean.

"Oh no," Davey says, looking out onto the waves. The sound of a whistle piercing the air from a lifeguard station told the group that their mischief and adventures were far from over.

A/N: Yay! I did a thing!! I'm finally starting to find motivation again. Next oneshot will be a request and then I have some ideas for this book myself. Also, introducing Mabel to the book of oneshots!! She'll be making a regular appearance on here now as well as the rest of the crew. What did you guys think of this one? I felt like it was kind of soso and honestly, for me personally, this is not the person who requested it's fault. I felt like it was a little all over the place. Granite, I haven't written for these guys in awhile and it felt good and normal to do so but this one I feel like there was  A LOT going on and it was a little hard to keep up with.

Fun fact: Luna Park is actually a part of Brooklyn and the rides mentioned are ALL there. I did not include all of the rides simply because that would have made this one sooooo much longer and I don't think the group would have stayed out of trouble for that long. I did my research for this one. :) If you want more info about it, I can share with you the website that I explored to learn more about the park.

And there are more parks in Coney Island besides Luna but it seemed to have a lot more amusement park features than some of the others so I went with that one.

So yeah, I hope you guys enjoyed this one despite that I felt iffy about it. It still is a good one even though it feels a little...bumpy(pun intended). Writing the sugar highs was fun but at the same time really hard because there's a lot that could happen when these boys are on sugar highs. Thanks so much for reading, commenting, voting or doing whatever it is you do. It really means a lot to me.

Also, thank you for 3.9k reads!!!!! It's amazing that this book has gotten as popular as it has!!! I'll try to keep getting more content out so that there's new stuff for you all to read.

I'm going to try to work on War Wonders here soon and get it out!!! I have been dying to write for it here lately and so I'm going to try to get it out along with the other actual Newsies books so that way more stuff gets updated!!

I am so sorry for the lack of updates you guys. Thankfully, I have 3 interviews with 3 different places for jobs this week so I'm really hoping I can get one than some part of my future isn't so up in the air. I think once I get a job, I'll be less stressed out and I'll feel like I can write more because that is taken care of. It just has been really stressing me out that I don't have a job. Hopefully, that won't be the case here soon. Thank you for sticking with me though. I'm hoping to put more content out in general. You guys really mean a lot to me and your support of my books, no matter the fandom, says so. So, thank you. Thank thank thank you.

See you around.
