Spearow

Ash's POV:
I growled angrily at Pikachu. That Pokemon just won't listen to anything I say! He's just so - so irritating!

He won't even attack that Spearow right in front of me. It's a really easy Pokemon to capture. At least, it is with a Pokemon that actually listens to you.

Sometimes, I wanna kill that Pokemon. I won't, but sometimes I feel like it.Anyway, Memma would murder me if I killed a Pokemon.

I glare at Pikachu (who's just lounging around on a tree branch), then sigh and get ready to run toward the Spearow and attack it. It scratches me back, so I just take a few steps backwards. Then run in again. Then back off. Then run in. Then run away because it's trying extremely hard to attack me right now.

I look up and notice that the Spearow looks like it's going to go after Pikachu.

"Pikachu! Watch out!" I call, not wanting him to get hurt, even though he's been pretty rude to me so far.

Pikachu dodges out of the way from the attack, shoots one lighting bolt - not hitting - at it and jumped off of the tree, ready to run with me.

And run we did. We ran through the trees, dodged whenever the Spearow attacked and finally Pikachu got annoyed and used a lighting bolt, hitting the Spearow this time, who stopped chasing us.

"Well, teamwork, eh, Pikachu?" I panted.

Pikachu just looked at me and said, "I did it for myself, not you. I didn't want to die today. I've still got to figure out a way to get away from you," he grumbled. I raised my eyebrow at him.

"And to think, I thought you'd be grateful that I took you in and some other idiot trainer didn't. At least I warned you that the Spearow was coming," I say, glaring at him. Pikachu looks at me, surprised. Probably because I answered him and normal humans usually can't understand Pokemon. Then, I'm not normal, am I? I have one of the rarest Pokemon as a protective mother. Yep. Definitely not normal.

Before the Spearow flew away, it muttered under its breath, "Hate those humans. I'll get my flock, they won't be pleased."

I took a deep breath, shakily letting it loose. I look at Pikachu nervously. "We'd better get out of here before the Spearow comes back with the rest of its flock. Come on, Pikachu. I'll explain to you on the way," I say.

"Alright, but I'm only coming because I'm interested in what you're going to say, not because you told me to," Pikachu replies. I roll my eyes, seriously, Pikachu has got to stop that attitude. Not that I'm being rude or anything, but it's actually really annoying.

Pikachu's POV:
Ash and I ran after being attacked by a Spearow, which was definitely his fault. I'm not the one who randomly goes running after Pokemon! Who even does that!

Well, I guess people whose Pokemon don't listen to them do it. Or incredibly idiotic people. Could be both. I don't know.

"Well, teamwork, eh, Pikachu?" Ash pants. I just looked at him, thinking in my head that I was the one who had gotten rid of the Spearow. The only thing he did was provoke the Spearow into coming after us!

"I did it for myself, not you. I didn't want to die today. I've still got to find a way to get away from you," I grumble. He just looks at me, raising his eyebrow.

He couldn't have understood me, could he? No, of course not, humans don't understand Pokemon, what was I thinking!

"And to think, I thought you'd be grateful that I took you in and some other idiot trainer didn't. At least I warned you that the Spearow was coming," he says, glaring at me. I swear, he knows exactly what I'm saying. How else would he have known about me wanting to get away from him?

Either that, or he's a psychic. Or, more appropriately, a psychic Pokemon is nearby and telling him what I'm saying. Perhaps.

My ear goes up when I hear the Spearow muttering something under its breath. I go closer, wanting to hear what it was saying. I wanted to know whether it'd attack me or not. Spearows are aggressive when you get on the wrong side of them. Which is what Ash and I have definitely done.

"Hate those humans. I'll get my flock, they won't be pleased," the Spearow murmurs. I clench my fists together, about to say something, when Ash interrupts (kind of, I hadn't started speaking, but I was about to) me.

He takes a deep breath, then lets it go shakily. He looks at me nervously and says, "We'd  better get out of here before the Spearow comes back with the rest of its flock. Come on, Pikachu. I'll explain to you on the way."

I nod. "Alright, but I'm only coming because I'm interested in what you're going to say, not because you told me to," I say, glaring at him.

He just laughs. He then tells me to follow him and we wonder off, with him explaining along the way.

"So, where do I start? I know! When I was younger, my parents died...." he starts explaining. Despite me not liking him, I find myself listening in rapt attention, only speaking when I have a question, or commenting on something.

~~~
"So, Mew found me-"
"Wait, MEW found you! Woah, you MUST be important, if MEW looks after you!"
~~~

"She has this weird mothering thing, it's actually quite annoyi-"

"Yeah, she's like my Memma. She was worried about me when I tripped. True, I was young, but seriously, what IS up with Memma's and they liking to make sure you're alright?"

~~~
"But the scariest thing is her Mew Games."
"Wait, what are Mew Games?"
~~~

"So, basically, they're games that try to kill you."

"So she doesn't want you to get hurt, but she makes you take part in these games? What?"

~~~
"And now I'm here," Ash finished the story, with quite a few interruptions from me. Oh well, I was questioning him, it happens when I'm interested!
"Wow. You've had - an exciting life. That's pretty much all I can say. Though I hope I don't get caught up in a Mew Game. I'd hate to see how that goes," I say, relaxed now that I know Ash a bit better.
Not that I trust him. It would be hard to trust people after my past. Trust me, you do not want to know it.
Ash chuckles, "If Memma sends you into one, there's no way you're getting out until you've done what she wants. She'll do anything to send you into one. I ran away from her for a full day and went back home to bed when she was still looking for me. She crept up on me when I was lying in my bed and sent me into a Mew Game," he shudders. "That was my least favourite one."
"Why, what happened?" I ask, interested.
Ash opens his mouth to say something, looks behind us and closes it. He then yells, "Run!"
I was about to ask why, then I turned around and saw the large flock of Pokemon coming our way.
So....how was it? So, I added more to it, the tiniest bit. You're welcome 😉 haha. I hope you don't mind that I'm editing, by the way. I'm gonna draw the picture for the next chapter, and then I'll update normally again! Yay! Byyyeeee!
