Misty

Ash's POV:
Me and Pikachu ran as fast as we could to try and escape the Spearows. It's easy for me, since Memma's games included loads of running, but Pikachu was noticeably slowing down behind me.

I don't know what else I could've done, so I picked the Pokémon up and placed him onto my shoulder, running faster than ever.

The Spearows seemed to be faster than me. I don't know how, again, Memma's games make me run faster than I am already.

What is up with me today?

One flew close to me and knocked Pikachu off my shoulder.

"Hey! Leave him alone!" I protested. "He had nothing to do with this, I was the one who annoyed you, attack me!"

Unfortunately, they didn't listen to my wise words of advice.

I ran forwards, picking Pikachu up and cradling him against my chest.

"Don't worry, buddy," I murmured. "You'll be okay. I'll find you help."

I ran faster than ever.

Pikachu and I reached the edge of a cliff. I closed my eyes, and jumped off, trusting myself not to die - hoping that we wouldn't die. I noticed that there was water at the bottom - perhaps we would live?

Either way, I angled myself so that I would get the brunt of the fall, hopefully, according to my calculations, Pikachu would be okay. Slightly hurt, but okay.

Hopefully.

The force of the current pulled me through the water faster than I could've hoped to run.

Wow, I really need to run more, not just in Memma's games.

I quickly swam away from a Gyrados when it seemed determined to attack me and Pikachu, the latter still being pressed against my chest.

I fought to hold my breath in, yet I still got surprised when random Pokémon appeared now and then.

Suddenly, I reached the surface and I placed Pikachu down on it straight away before hauling myself out, collapsing on the ground, panting heavily.

As long as Pikachu was okay.

Thinking of him brought me back, and I checked him for signs of life. Those Spearow had hit him hard, and adding the water on top of that? He must be beat.

I gave a satisfied smile when I found he was okay, before falling to the ground again.

I didn't bother getting up. I didn't care if I was hurt. Pikachu could rest a bit while I lay there, right? It wouldn't be bad, right?

Course not.

There was a girl fishing. Apparently she was the one who fished me out of the water - really?

Oh, maybe she pulled Pikachu out. I did think the rocks were abnormally big, too big for me to be able to place something onto easily.

I turned to her, looking her in the eye.

"Sorry, this must look really weird -"

"It's just a kid," she said, rolling her eyes before she caught a glimpse of Pikachu. She bounded down. "And a Pokemon! Are you okay?"

I knew the question wasn't for me, and I wouldn't have answered it at any rate. Pikachu was way more important than I was.

"I think he's okay."

"Not y- oh. I expected you to tell me how you felt because, you know - most people care about themselves more than Pokemon."

"That's not me."

I left the conversation there, as Pikachu had began to wake up.

"You alright there, buddy?" I asked softly.

"Yeah. Watch out!" Pikachu exclaimed, nodding his head to the accumulating amount of Spearows flying toward them.

"Hey, do you know where a Pokemon Centre is?" I quickly asked the girl, since Pikachu would definitely need medical attention after this.

"Sure, just down there. Make sure you check the poor little thing -"

"I wasn't going there to check myself! That's stupid! Pikachu is way more important than I am!" I said shortly, not even wanting to think of the possibility of a Pokemon dying.

"Sorry."

"I've gotta go, now. Can I borrow your bike? Thanks!"

"Hey! That's my bike!"

"I'll give it back - someday!"

I'd vowed, promised, given her my word. Even if it took me years, I'd give her back that bike.

It makes me laugh. Here I am, riding a bike as fast as I can to escape a bunch of Spearows, and I'm thinking about repaying depts.

How brains work, huh?

There's a storm incoming. Pikachu gave a small moan and my determination became even more focused than it was before.

"Don't worry, Pikachu, we're almost there."

We raced through an open field, and I felt myself gulping. This is a wide open space, perfect for someone to attack another in.

A few Spearow pulled on my hat, but I merely swat them off, groaning.

"Get away!"

There was another cliff. Me and Pikachu sailed down this one easily, before falling to the ground as the bike wobbled and crashed. Pikachu fell out of the basket and I winced, feeling the pain.

"You okay, buddy?"

I crawled over to him, placing a hand on his back.

"Come on, buddy, speak to me."

Pikachu didn't answer.

I looked over to the Spearows, giving them an unflinching glare.

"Fine. Alright then. Here goes nothing."

I stood up, bending down to whisper something in Pikachu's ear.

"Go in the ball, Pikachu. If you do, I might be able to save you. I know you're scared, I would be too, but just go in."

I placed the Pokeball by his side, hoping he would choose the right choice. I turned to the Spearows next.

"Do you know who I am?" I began quietly. "I'm Ash of Pallet Town. I'm going to be the world's best Pokemon master. You know why? Because I know how Pokemon like to be treated. I know their language.

"I can't be defeated by you. Not when Pikachu still needs me. I don't care if I'm defeated either way. Maybe that girl will find me, then she'll take Pikachu to the Pokemon Centre. As long as he's okay, then I'm okay."

Pikachu looked up a little, and I turned around, giving him a small grin.

"I'm going to capture and defeat you all. You hear me? If you touch a single hair on Pikachu, then you'll hear the wrath from me."

I glanced back at Pikachu, noting that he still hadn't gotten inside the Pokeball.

"Come on, buddy. Go inside the Pokeball! It's the only way!"

I looked at the Spearows again with my arms spread wide, my tone laced with confidence - a confidence I rarely had. I spoke quietly, softly, so silent they could barely hear me, but even with the thunder and the pouring rain they still could.

"Come and get me."

And that's where I'll leave it! Honestly, I have a lot to say.

So, my iPad broke. Sad times. Boo boo - all that stuff. I legit forgot about this acc and then I was like "oh yeh, I have these things called priorities" and then I was like "I wanna watch Pokemon - heyyyy why don't I update that book that I haven't updated for months!"

So there you go. My life story. Yay!

I know I haven't done this story in ages, but maybe I'll be able to do this every weekend or so. Maybe I'll be able to steal WRFL's (look below lmao) phone every weekend and do a chapter on here every weekend.

Who knows?

That's all. Bye!
