So you wanna write a book yes? Well, I am going to show you how 2! 

When writing a book it all comes down to will the grammar nazis be satisfied? Which of course the answer is always no so just forget grammar entirely! While you're at it forget spelling there will always be something you misspelled no matter how many times you read it over. (No but seriously actually have good grammar and spelling. It's important for a book)

Next everyone always loves naming their titles something like *insert name here* *insert feeling, emotion, or action here* like Firewind's Path or Bouncestar's Sadness or something like that. Don't do that. All those amazing fanfics you wish you wrote don't usually have a title like a super edition now do they? Do something like "Trails of sadness" or "Winding Fire" or something creative, something you can build upon.

Also, what is it with the typical "becoming leader plot". Do something better than that! I mean really. 

Another thing, don't give your characters powers. Really, honestly tell me how much you liked anyone in the original books who had powers. Not really anyone right? We have the stuck up brat who yes may be interesting to read about but really gets annoying and progressively worse as the books continue. We have a cocky know-it-all who basically is invisible until his powers are taken away (spoilers whoops) and now gets hurt every five seconds. Finally, we have our little stuck up emotional teenager with op powers like the cocky know-it-all who gets a whole other book dedicated to her when she already has a whole arc! 

Yeah none of them were great so don't have powers or at least not wings. I can not tell you how many books there are that has a cat getting wings, it's just not original anymore! 

And what is it with all the weird clan names? WinterClan? Cats don't know what winter is. "PoopClan?" Don't even start with me. "TermonalClan?" That's for trains you goof. Use clan names that actually are relevant to the cats lives or at least do something that's not stupid. I mean I would much rather prefer the original four clans over any of these terrible names.

Speaking of clans why does a fanfiction always seem to have a multiple of 2 clans (I.e 2, 4, 6 ,8) If you're not using the original 4 clans then change it up a bit. Make 3 or 1. And no I don't mean SkyClan I burn that clan with fire. 

Make sure you have romance in the book but don't make it so obvious that it's stupid. Make it more discrete and make people actually ship it.

Don't bring cats from the real books. So few books on Wattpad managed to pull it off but it's probably not gonna be you. Harsh reality I know but don't.
