The next day was Saturday and the whole apartment was woken up to someone banging in the kitchen. The culprit: was Betty. "Betts what are you doing?" Jug asked, wiping sleep from his eyes and joining his other sleepy roommates in the kitchen. "Making breakfast" Betty replied not looking at anyone. "Betty it's 5am" Archie exclaimed. Suddenly Betty looked up and the others noticed the tears falling down her cheeks. "Betts?" Jug asked stepping towards her. "What's happened?" He asked and she turned back around to her cooking. "My mom called" she said, barely audible. "She's coming to stay for two days" she finished. "What?" "When?" "Oh no" the others said. "I...I don't want her to ruin what we've got here... I'm so happy" she cried into jugs chest. "B.. she won't ruin anything and it will be fine you have us. Alice Cooper can't get to you anymore" Veronica said coming up and rubbing her back. "while we're all up Shall we have this delicious breakfast?" Kevin asked as he and Archie helped to dish it up. "Oh! We should eat on the balcony!" Veronica announced and lead Kevin and Archie outside. "You gonna be okay?" Jug asked his girlfriend. "Yeah... Sorry her call just took me off guard and..." But was cut off by jughead kissing her. "No need to apologise betts, I love you" Jug said. "I love you more" she smiled and then joined the rest of their friends for breakfast.

Later that day Betty went with Veronica to her boutique to help distract her from her mother. "So B, I was thinking this would look amazing on you!" Veronica said holding up a pink floral dress. "It's beautiful V" Betty said as she held it up against her. "Well it's yours now, a gift to cheer you up" Veronica said. "Thank you!" Betty beamed and hugged her best friend. On the way back home Betty realised how lucky she was to have such great friends, they were always there when she needed them. Back at the apartment the boys had ordered food in and had Betty's favourite movie ready to play on the tv. "Thank you guys" Betty said as she was snuggled into jugheads side. "Anything for you betts" Jug said and kissed her temple.
