Chapter 3
Ships- Miraxus

Mira's pov

I walked into school with a smile. I checked my phone on the bus this morning and guess what, There are no thunderstorms at all for a whole month! thank the heavens! Im so happy I could dance to no music and not care what others think!

I was all happy, well until I bumped into this random guy. I looked up at him in shock, he was tall, muscular, blonde hair, had a glare in his eyes, and a scar on his eye that looked a lot like a lightning bolt. It sent a chill down my spine just looking at him. I then saw him holdingout a hand, I was skeptical at first, I went to take it but quickly pulled away, but then he grunted. I finally calmed down and I carefully took it.

" t-thanks." I said giving him my fake smile.

I saw him give me a strange look, I felt kinda nervous.

"Your new here, aren't you?" He asked me.

" h-how did you know." I stuttered.

Was it really that obvious?

" cause no one smiles at me at this school" he said and then left.

I was left there, frozen in shock. But then I did something I usually don't do, and for a very strange reason, I smiled, And it was my actual smile. One I don't use except around my friends, yet weirdly I couldn't help but smile at him.

" hey! Wait up!" I shouted and ran after him.

he turned around and grunted at me.

" what is it." He said staring at me.

I don't know why, but his glare and stares felt comfortable, they kinda made me happy.
I then saw him snap in my Face as I snap out of my thoughts. I then looked up at him and giggled.

"Sorry, I zoned out."

He just tsked.

" anyway, I didn't get to introduce myself. Hi, I'm mirajane! But my friends call me Mira." I said smiling at him. I saw him be taken back by this. It made me giggle again.

" I'm Laxus." He said and looked away.

"La-xus. That's a nice name." I said.

I saw him buy a soda, he then looked at me.

" hey Mira, why are you still talking to me?" He asked confused. " do you need my help Orr something?" He said looking at me.

" no, I'm talking to you cause I want to." I told him.q

" um, ok. I don't believe that, so do you need help finding your locker or something." He asked me while he took a sip of his cherry coke.

I then blinked a few times.

We just stood their staring at each other as he waited for me to answer.

" wait, we have lockers?" I asked confused.

He stared at me with a deadpan look as I saw his sweat drop like this was an anime or something. But it's not like we're in a anime or a manga or a fanfic from a random fan who is a shipper and ships us and decided to make a fanfic about us, right?

(A/N: fourth wall alert! fourth wall, fourth wall, fourth wall!)

" seriously, what is this, your first time at a school?" He asked looking at me.

" no, my second time." I said buying a cherry coke. When I got it I turned around to see him staring at me. He looked a little confused. " what is it Laxus?"

" what do you mean your second time?" He asked.

"Well, I did go to elementary school, but only for 1st grade and half of 2nd grade, then I was pulled out and home schooled until, well, until today." I explained.

He looked at me a little shock, then he walked closer to me. A little to close for comfort.

" Laxus?" I whispered, he was kinda a little way to close. Like faces only like barely 4 inches apart.

" give me your schedule." He said.

I did what he said and handed it to him. I was little nervous, but then I felt him grab my hand.

" come on, let's go. I'll give you a tour. Then we can go and find your locker." He said with a small smile.

When I saw him smile, I just couldn't help but  smile back at him. It was a genuine smile. One that made my heart beat a little faster, but not to fast to where I'm nervous.

" ok!" I said and then we started to walk.

-Time skip to a few hours later-

When we finished up the tour and finally got to my locker, it's apparently number 415, I saw Laxus freeze. I then felt his grip tightened on mine.

" what is it Laxus?" I asked.

" it's nothing just...." I then saw him sigh. He started walking away with me.

" Laxus, what's going on?" I asked as we were walking, but then I saw someone very familiar out of the conner of my eye, the next thing I know I yanked my hand out of Laxus grip and ran, I ran and ran and ran, I then found myself near the highs bathroom, I ran in and slid down the wall, crying my eyes out.

I just saw my first crush walk past us, my first love, my first heartbreak, my first and only regret, the one who hurt my family, friends and me, just for fun. I saw leam walk past us, smirking, he saw me, I just know it. He knows I go to this school. He's gonna come after me, cause I'm the last Strauss still standing.

////flash back.////

I was sitting there in the hospital bed with Erza, waiting for the results from the doctor. He finally came out but with a frown on his face. He looked at me with pity.

I felt tears fall down my face.

" I'm sorry, but your parents are gone. Your sister is in a long coma, we don't know how long it will be, and your brother..... we lied."

Me and Erzas eyes widen.

" we thought it would only be a few stitches, but he broke one of his arms and the other...... was cut off, we found out when we took off his jacket o do the scan, your brother will have to go into therapy, as your sister is stuck in a coma for a long time..... "

I then saw him leave, I cried, with Erza. I then heard foot steps but ignored them.

" I'm surprise, But I have to say, I'm happy, for myself. After all, the fun isn't over yet. Don't worry Mira, your family is lucky that they're dead, they were put to an end to their suffering and now are burning in h*ll. But don't worry Mira, There still plenty of games and suffering you, you must be very lucky to. To survive everything we put you through." I heard a familiar voice say.

I looked up at the owner of the voice in shock. There stood leam, smirking.

" I'll come back and kill you one day Mirajane, that's a promise. " he said walking away.

" why? Why are you doing this." I said crying.

" simple." I heard him say, I then saw him with a very scary grin and his eyes glaring at me. " cause your the last Strauss standing, my old man couldn't even kill you, so I'll do it for him!" He said and then punched me in the gut. Then he left as I stayed there crying on the floor.

This was my life.

////////flash back over/////////

" after all, your the last Strauss standing, huh? it's a blessing of suffering." I mumbled to my self as I was sniffling and wiping up some of my tears, my lip was quivering as more tears fell down my face.

I then heard a knock on the door.

I simply stayed silent.

" Mira, I know your in there." I heard Laxus say from the outside.

Wait......

"Laxus?" I said confused.

Ok, let's rewind a bit.

Laxus pov.

I saw Mira, she lets go of my hand and runs away crying. I looked back to see who I was trying to protect her from.

Leam ryker. Son of one of the strongest criminal groups in the tartoros gang. There are 9 commanders. And 18 second in commands, he was one of the second in commands, named rick.
He acts like a total psycho, no one talks to him, especially since his dad went o jail for murdering a innocent family for no reason at all.

They always give leam locker 414, but last year it was destroyed in a fight. So they made locker 415, the locker Mira was assigned to, which I just remembered when I got to the locker. I know, I'm and idiot.

" well, well, well...... If it isn't Laxus dreyar, what it like being known as a daddy's boy. I thought you where suspended..... Oh wait, you got off your suspension 3 months ago. I forgot cause no one likes you for what you did! I mean seriously, causing an eruption in school by making some games that pinned students against each other to see who's better, locking the principle, your grandfather in his office when he was sick, and then beating the cr@p out of some students, what did you expect, not to get in trouble?" I heard him laugh. I glared ah him.

I hate it when he brings that up, especially when he threatened to kill the old geezer, he was the one who got him sick.

" shut up! You know d@mn right that I only did that because you were blackmailing me, that's why they let me back into this school, cause gramps found out someone did that." I said glaring at him.

" yet you kept your mouth shut so I wouldn't do anything, what a good boy you are Laxus. Yet still, no one likes you are talks to you ever since that incident other then your three freak show friends, cause everyone is smart enough to not go near you, even Natsu!" He said laughing.

I wanted to kill him so badly.

Then he grinned. " well, almost everyone is smart enough, but there is one new girl who is dumb enough to be around you, maybe she wants to get hurt again. " he said in a creepy voice.

My eyes went wide, he was talking about Mira.

" there is no way I'm gonna let you hurt her. Leave Mira alone." I said glaring at him.

He just smirked.

" your a little late la-la-Laxus. But why are you so mad, you seem like you want to strangle me...... Is it because Mira is the only person who even talk to you at this school since the incident, or is it because she's the only one who wanted to be your friend at this school, like ever?" He said grinning. " what ever it is, it doesn't matter, just know that you'll both suffer together." He said grinning.

" how bout instead, if you even lay a finger on her, I kill you and you go and burn in h*ll." I said angry.

" I would like to see you try an kill me." He said and walked off, but before he left I noticed he was messing with his watch.

I then heard the bell ring. Today was the first day, but you don't need to go to your classes, fairy tail is like that. You get the first week of school to just meet your classmates and teachers, you only need to go to your classes one day to meet them. So I decided to go and look for Mira, I went into the front office and I saw Mr.gildarts, are vice-principal at the desk.

" hey Laxus, what's sup." He said looking at me.

" I wanted to know if I could look at the security cameras to find a friend of mine, she ran off crying." I explained.

" but evergreen is just talking to nurse Mavis." He said.

" it's a new friend." I said.

" ohhhh, it's a new lady friend eh, what is she cute or something, she must be cute for you t just meet her today and be worried enough to ask to check on her." He asked with a troll face.

I felt a little heat rise to my cheeks as I grunt.

" shut up and let me check the cameras already." I said annoyed.

He chuckled but opened the security cameras and let me look.

I looked around, until I saw something. It was leam walking towards the girls bathroom, but messing with his watch. 'What is he planning' I thought. But then it hit me when I studied his watch. I stood up and ran out of the room.

" thanks gildarts!" I shouted running out. I ran towards the girls bathroom and saw him knock on the door and then press a button on his watch.

"Mira, I know your in there." Came out of his watch, but it sounded like my voice.

I knew it! It was a recording and editing watch. Which means he's after Mira.

I then saw the bathroom door open, Mira walked out. It broke my heart when I saw her, tears flowing down her face, her lip quivering, her legs shaking. It was horrible, she wasn't even looking up. I saw leam grin.

" what the f*** do you want leam?" I heard her say.

Leam was taken back by her not even needing to look up to know it was him.

" how did you know it was me?"

" simple, I've been sitting around here for 8 minutes now trying to calm down before I had a panic attack from seeing your ugly face. There is no way to check the whole school in that time, well except for the security cameras , which there are none in the girls bathroom making it illegal, so it would be hard to find me, knowing how sneaky you are you probably track we me down. But not before you talk to Laxus. I remember you building that watch in second grade, you record and edit things on it. It all came to place for me." She said smiling while she wiped away her tears. She then looked up at him with red eyes and a frown. " stay away from him, it me you want."

I saw leam grin.

" no can do Mirajane. Your my target, and I can't make my target happy." He said grinning like a maniac?

Wait target, don't tell me he's........

" I'm gonna kill you and everyone you ever loved one day." He said grinning like a maniac.

This guy is a psycho!

" yeah right." I heard Mira say. I saw her look at him with a very angry look. " I refuse to die because of you, you murdered my parents, but my little sister in a coma, cut off my little brothers arm and separated us, I refuse to die in someone's hands who's stained in blood! Especially when in my family! I'm am done being a push over!" She shouted at him.

I was shock by this, mira's family was the one leaks father murdered?!

" well too bad! I'm gonna kill you! You b¡+ch! You put my father in jail! I'm gonna kill the last Strauss standing!" He yelled charging at her with a pocket knife, before I could do anything, Mira pushes his hand away, ducks down and socks him in the the gut, I see leam cough up blood as Mira swings her leg and kicks him on his back, leam was sent flying into the lockers. I stood in shock at what just happen.

Note to self, don't get on mira's bad side.

I saw Mira turn around and started to walk away when leam got up.

Oh no, this can't be good.

Mira's pov.

I turned around and walked away, a little scared and nervous, but I made sure not to make it noticeable. Then I heard something. I turned around and screamed. I saw leam extremely angry charging at me.

" I'm gonna kill you!!!!" he yelled while charging at me. I close my eyes and I heard a huge crash. I open my eyes to see Laxus punching leam in the face. The next thing I know is that the bell rings and leam was knocked out cold with his pocket knife sliding under the lockers and Laxus standing in front of me. A few tears fell down my face as people gathered around staring at me, Laxus, and leam, mumbling to each other about what was going on. The next thing I know was that I ran and jumped up tackled Laxus into a hug.

" Laxus!!!!" I shouted smiling hugging him. I then looked up at him. " You saved me! Thank you." I said while smiling. I saw him nod and then let me go. I looked around us to see everyone staring at us. " what is it, is there something on my face." I asked. Laxus simply shakes his head no.

Then I see this girl with long brown hair, she walks up and grabs me pulling me back and then slaps Laxus across the face. I gasped.

" stop hypnotising the new kid! Your a dumb@$$ jerk!" I heard her shout at him.

" hey, leave him alone. He was protecting me from that psycho!" I yelled at her pointing to a knocked out leam.

"You should be worried about that psycho! He is manipulative and dangerous, he caused the whole school to go to war with each other!" She said glaring at him.

I looked up at Laxus to see his head was down.

"Is that true?" I asked.

He didn't answer.

" see, he's basically as bad as leam maybe even worse." She said.

This got me really angry.

" hey, you might as well stay away from that jer-" she started.

"Shut up!" I said. I then saw everyone look at me in shock. " I don't give d@mn about the past, so what he made a mistake?" I said.

" a huge mistake!" The brunette said.

" who the f*** cares, that was the past! I don't know what happened, but I do know one thing. It's that if I ever hear one of you say Laxus is worse then leam ever again....." A dark aura appears around me. " I'm gonna get really mad." I said glaring at her.

She jumps back freaked out.

" just because he saved you doesn't mean he's nice." The brunette said.

" you know, your right......" Everyone looked at me. " but that's not why I trust him.  I got two know him today, and I honestly doubt he would hurt you all with out a good reason, I trust Laxus. And that's my decision." I said glaring at her with my arms crossed. The bell then ringed.

Everyone started to leave.

" you know, your gonna regret trusting him." The brunette said walking away. I looked at Laxus who was standing their in shock as I walked up to him with a smile.

" hey Laxus, can you show me where my next class is?" I asked giving him the puppy-dog eyes.

" sure." He said smiling he took my hand and we walked to the next class. I looked down at are hand s and my heart skipped a beat I felt a slight blush tint my cheeks.

Oh no, don't tell me. I started to breath a little faster and as I let go of Laxus hand as we make it to our 4th period. 

I think I might be falling for Laxus.
