General Life Tip #3

Today I'm talking about anxiety/panic attacks.

I've had them, and I know the triggers and signs in myself, but it's not the same for everyone.
Some of my triggers are:

-Excessive heat/humidity (especially combined)
-Not eating enough
-Shocking events

My attacks starts off with/include:

-Feeling off balance or slightly woozy
-My head feeling like it's heating up
-Ringing in my ears
-Vision getting dark
-Shakiness/excessive trembling
-Overwhelming panicked feeling

I've had them at home a lot, when I can rush to my bed and just lay there until I feel better. Here are some things I've found that help me overcome an attack:

-Cold
-Dark
-Quiet/silence
-Warm but not hot covering
-Distractions
-Breathing
-Calm music

Start with identifying your triggers and the signs of an attack coming on. Take note of what makes you feel better. Write it down somewhere and keep it with you. Keep some things that make you feel better with you. If someone is with you, do your best to communicate what you need (verbally or otherwise).

I hope this helps, loves.
