Yellow is supposed to be happy
But then, why is it
That as I'm sat upon this monster
My emotions are different?

This noisy yellow monstrosity
That rumbles down the road
Gives me time to myself
To contemplate my load.

Because as i'm sitting,
My head roams the deepest depths
Of humanity, my problems.
In such sadness I am left.

This giant painted vehicle
Is where i feel most alone
Surrounded by screaming children,
Music on my phone.

My book is open too,
But how can I scan the pages
When my mind destroys itself
And my heart rages?

Yes, yellow is a happy color
But, to each their own.
Some may seek yellow joy,
Or a melancholy throne.
