Has anyone seen the scorch trials? I saw it last night. There were two types of people in my friend group. I'm gonna call them group A and group B ;) see what I did there
Group A were the people who were spitting mad about the poor book to movie adaptation.
Group B were the people who barely remembered the book and really liked the movie.
I was apart of group B. I guiltily admit this because I'm usually apart of Group A. Like for an example, I was a group A person after I saw Divergent the movie. I had LOVED the book and was spitting mad that they screwed the movie up. So angry that I lost interest in the entire movie series. Yep, I haven't even seen Insurgent yet. (Lionsgate is like oh, why does Hunger Games do better than Divergent? They're both YA series... YEAH WELL MAYBE THE HUNGER GAMES ACTUALLY STICKS TO THE BOOKS AND THATS WHY PEOPLE LIKE IT SO MUCH, INCLUDING ME) (if you couldn't already tell, I'm a big Hunger Games enthusiast)
ANYWAYS
I really enjoyed the Scorch Trials. I did feel like the final act was slipping away from the book, and even though I had read it two years ago, I could still tell. I got so confused when Rat Man got shot but then was standing on the hovercraft, looking completely fine. (Didn't you just get shot in the head??? Is he Wolverine???)
Oh and speaking of X-Men
I saw the deadpool trailer before the movie and freaked out
"You look like an avocado had (censored) with an older avocado"
"Exactly"
They had to cut out and redub so many parts because the red band trailer was inappropriate though. But I was still happy.
Okay final point I really liked about the movie was when Thomas was hallucinating and HE SAW NEWT AS A CRANK OMG I FREAKED OUT WJSKFHWJIWJSHSJSJS
