Melanie decided to come over after school, so we got home around 3:15. We went up to my room to do our homework.

After we got done with our homework, Melanie left and I grabbed my computer to watch Netflix because why have a social life when you can watch Netflix? I'm really enjoying Supernatural at the moment and just finished season 3.

My mom works from home in her office. She does this, mostly in fear of my dad showing up and wrecking the place, but also because it's convenient. She is a editor for the local newspaper company and she edits and publishes articles, which seems like a fairly non-stressing job.

My dad on the other hand, got fired for not showing up half the time, and dressing like he was going dumpster diving. Fortunately, my mom gets paid enough to take care of all of us.

We are a low income family, but I'm thankful for what I have and I'm glad to at least have a family, well-balanced or not.

For dinner, I had the usual 'find something in the kitchen because everybody else is busy'. I was in a good mood, so I decided on making a pot of spaghetti for everyone.

Eventually everyone smelled it, so they came downstairs. "Thank you, Cas. I'm sorry, I was busy with some articles that were due today," My mom said, rubbing her forehead. "It's fine," I responded, not looking up from my tedious process of pouring sauce into a pan.

After my cooking expedition was finished, we all ate together for the first time that week.
