Amelia Reed never had the easiest of lives. Sure, it was a magical beginning, much like everyone's early childhood, until one day, her parents were taken from her.

Port Hope was a place she called home. A place she spent her summers, playing with the little boy next door while she lived with her grandmother Althea. Althea was the one constant in Amelia's life. She was her rock, her inspiration, her only family.

In later years, long after the trauma of high-school, the trials of college and a few bad relationship choices later, Amelia receives a call from their neighbor, Mrs. Masterson. Her grandmother had taken ill and was now in the hospital. After the recent hell she had been through with her ex, she packs her bags and heads for Port Hope.

As Althea passes, Amelia now comes to terms with the reality of it all. She decides to stay in Port Hope for the indefinite future. Between recreating herself, mending her broken heart, work, rebuilding friendships and settling in, Amelia finds herself in a variety of life-altering moments that slowly begin to shape her person. She truly embarks in life's roller coaster but will she choose to embrace or fight these changes?
