Chapter 33

"Lyra, our next mission just came in" Master Kenobi found me in the temple library, reading about the many species of creatures in the galaxy.

"What is it?" I questioned, standing up and collecting my study's, preparing to leave the calm, quiet environment of the library.

"The council wants us to investigate a message from an unknown region of the galaxy"

"Sound fun" I commented back with sarcasm.

"Oh it will be. Anakin and Ahsoka will be joining us" he explained as I followed him towards the hanger.

"Great" I sighed with a slight smile, happy to be working with friends, but knowing we would find some sort of trouble. I stepped up onto the shuttle, taking me seat next to Ahsoka.

"Ready to meet up with Rexter?" Ahsoka nudged me with a smirk.

"We are meeting up with Rex?" I looked to her, unknown to this information.

"Yeah, he is on a cruiser that will be giving us backup when we arrive." Anakin continued for his Padawan. I nodded silently, taking in the new information as Anakin guided the ship away from the hanger and towards the coordinates of the message.

~~~
"Rex. Rex, do you read me?" Anakin tried to contact his captain through holo transmission. "We're at the rendezvous point awaiting your arrival. Where are you?"
"Sir, we're at the rendezvous point and there's no sign of you on our scanners."Rex explained the situation from his blue hologram form before us.
"What?" I questioned with confusion.
"Oh, come on. That's impossible. Something's wrong. We're at the exact coordinates where the distress signal originated, but there's nothing here. Rex is at the exact same coordinates, and he's not here." Anakin looked between Obi Wan and his Captain.
"This is getting interesting." Obi Wan stroked his beard in thought like usual.
"Unable to find you. Where are you, sir?" Rex echoed through the cockpit, the connection cracking up.
"Something's blocking the signal." Ahsoka reported as she reached over and pressed a few buttons, trying to get the signal back before something bad happens. The lights suddenly shut off along with the rest of the power to the shuttle.
"Not good." I sighed.
"Everything's dead. Even the life support." Ahsoka explained the situation with wide panicked eyes.
"This is really strange." Anakin looked around with confusion before the power turned back on as suddenly as it had turned off.
"There. See? Nothing to be concerned about after all." Obi Wan shrugged off the strange feeling of the situation.
"Then what's that?" I pointed ahead to find a diamond shaped ship of sorts, floating in front of us.
"It's pulling us towards it." Ahsoka feared as we grew closer to it.
"Everyone, strap yourselves in. Looks as though we're going for a ride." Obi Wan shouted out his orders of warning. A bright light blinded all of us as the ship pulled us in.
With a slight groan I woke up again, looking around to check on the others.
"I must have blacked out." Anakin groaned as he sat up and opened his eyes, the rest of us waking up as well.
"Then who landed the shuttle?" I asked with confusion as I gained my senses again, shaking my head slightly to wake myself up a bit.
"Not me." Ahsoka woke up with her answer.
"Where are we?" Anakin looked out the window to a green garden space surrounding us.
"Woah" I gasped at the beautiful sight.
"Some kind of organic mass. All of our readings indicate that it's bigger than an asteroid. But at least the atmosphere is breathable." Ahsoka reported our status of the location.
"Well, this is getting more unusual by the minute." Obi Wan commented.
"I can't even lock down where in the galaxy we are, or if we are even in our own galaxy." I told them my own reports as I looked at the screens.
"Well, the ship's systems seem fine, but for whatever reason, nothing's working." Anakin tried to press some buttons but there was no response from the shuttle. Ahsoka walked out of the ship, the rest of us following behind into the light to see what we are dealing with.
"Hey! I saw something. A reflection, up on the hill." Ahsoka pointed out as we scanned the area.
"I don't see anything." Obi Wan looked through his binoculars.
"What the—What?" Anakin looked confused as if he had heard something. "Did you hear that?" He asked us.
"I didn't hear anything." Obi Wan told him calmly as I looked to him with worry and confusion.
"Maybe I should check if you have a concussion" I suggested at Anakin's odd behaviour.
"Are you the one?" We heard a female voice ask from behind us.
"Oh!" I gasped at the sight of a glowing white woman, jumping back slightly having been caught off guard.
"Hello!" My former master greeted kindly with a wave.
"Who are you?" Anakin placed his hands on his hips in a sassy way.
"I am Daughter. Are you the one?" She replied simply.
"Uh, the one what?" Anakin asked, eyebrows furrowed.
"I will take you to him." The female stated.
"Him, who?" Ahsoka asked with concern.
"Did you bring us here?" Obi Wan stepped in.
"Only he can help you. There is little time. Follow me. We must have shelter by nightfall." The woman starts to walk off.
"And we thought the planet was strange. How about this one?" Anakin nodded at the woman as he spoke to us.
"We'll be fine as long as we stay together." Kenobi promised. You all nodded to each other, deciding to follow the woman as she lead you away from the ship.
"Have you noticed the seasons seem to change with the time of day?" I pointed out to the group, still following the woman as the sky grew dark.
"Yeah." Anakin agreed, thinking about it more.
"And there are no animals." Ahsoka also added looking around.
"And you sense it?" Obi Wan asked us.
"Mmm-hmm. Since we arrived." Anakin said as Ahsoka and I nodded along with agreement. "The Force is very strong."
"An intersection unlike anything I've ever felt before. Be wary." Obi Wan warned us all with his careful words.
"Excuse me. Who are you taking us to?" Anakin spoke up to the woman who walked silently ahead.
"The father, of course." She answered calmly.
"Of course!" Ahsoka rolled her eyes at the answer.
"And what exactly are you?" Obi Wan asked next.
"We are the ones who guard the power. We are the middle, the beginning and the end." She said once more in her simple tone, annoying Anakin with her vague answers.
"Glad she cleared that up for us." Anakin sarcastically commented to us with his amused smirk. "Hey! Look out!" Anakin shouted as rocks from above fell down on us. He lunged forward, pushing the daughter out of the way while the rest of us were thrown back by the force of the rocks crashing, separating us from Anakin and the Daughter. Ahsoka and I groaned in pain from hitting the rocking ground roughly. The two of us looked up to see Obi Wan hanging onto the edge of the cliff.
"Master!" I called as we scrambled to our feet to pull him up with all of our strength.
"Thank you." He looked to us both as we all sat around and caught our breath after the strange event that had occurred.
"You're welcome."
"Anakin, are you there? Are you all right?" Kenobi called through com link, waiting for a reply from the chosen one.
"Yeah. But our friend here has run off!" He shouted back with frustration. "Go back to the ship and try sending another distress call. I'll follow her and find out how to get off this rock." Anakin instructed.
"And if this is a trap?" Kenobi asked the question we were all thinking.
"Then I'm not gonna wait around to find out." Skywalker commented back.
"Anakin, stop! Wait for us to find another way around and meet you. Anakin?" Obi Wan tried as the link was shut off, disconnecting the call. "So reckless and impatient." He shook his head.
"He'll find her." Ahsoka promised us in her hopeful manner.
"Yes, and what else?" I pointed out the danger he could find.
"Storm's coming." Ahsoka pointed out at the dark clouds overhead.
"Let's go back this way to find our ship" Obi Wan started to walk off, leading us in the direction we had come from.
"The ship's gone!" The Togruta pointed out the obvious as the landing spot was empty.
"Yes, I see that." I commented back.
"It was here, no question. And look, everything's dying." Ahsoka looked to the plants below us that turned a dark colour of grey, losing all life.
"Did you lose something?" A male voice asked this time from behind, Ahsoka and I turning around with our sabers ignited, ready to fend off any threat. "You didn't do as you were asked." The man continued.
"And what was that?" Obi Wan asked back calmly, no saber in hand yet.
"My sister said to wait!" He shouted at us with anger.
"Did she, now? Well, we were unfortunately separated. We'd like our ship back, if you don't mind." Kenobi attempted to negotiate with the man.
"Not yet." He told us sternly. "Is it true that he is the Chosen One?" The man got close and asked, causing Kenobi to ignte his own lightsaber as a warning.
"What do you know of such things?" My former master snarled.
"What is about to happen shall occur, whether you like it or not." The man somehow turned off all of our sabers simply.
"You are Sith!" Obi Wan accused as Ahsoka and I looked to our hilts with shock at the blade being gone.
"Sith?" The man asked with a laugh. "Yes." He answered his own question. "And no." He added. "The storms here are quite lethal. If you want to live, I suggest you find shelter." He turned onto a beast of some kind and flew off without another word.
"What in the universe was that?" Ahsoka asked, jaw slightly dropped.
"I'm not quite sure." I told her, not recognizing anything from this planet from the temple library records. A cold breeze passed us as a shiver ran up my spine. Rain started to pour down around us as the sky grew darker.
"Quick. There's a cave over there." Kenobi pointed. The three of us ran through the rain, dodging lightning as we raced towards the cave.
"Ah!" I shouted as a lightning bolt struck in front of me causing me to fall back.
"Lyra!" Ahsoka turned back and helped me to my feet again as we ran together towards the cave, hand in hand not letting the other one get lost behind.
"Get some rest, I feel we won't be leaving anytime soon." Obi Wan gently instructed once we had calmed down and entered the safety of the cave. Ahsoka and I moved to lay down while Kenobi kept watch over us in case danger returned.
"Lyra" I gasped awake at the whisper of my name.
"Who are you?" I immediately stood up and kept my guard up as I faced the woman who wore her brown hair down in light curls and similar Jedi robes to mine.
"I am you, Lyra" she simply explained.
"But how?"
"I am you from a possible future" she started. "I am here to warn you about the path you are on"
"Oh really?" I crossed my arms and listened with doubt.
"You must leave the Jedi order if you want to survive" she warned cautiously. My jaw dropped slightly but I regained my composure quickly.
"What do you mean? The Jedi order is my life!" I protested.
"The Jedi will be destroyed, you along with them if you stay!"
"Are we in danger?" I questioned with worry, brows furrowing together.
"Gravely"
"Oh no" I sighed, thinking of the friends I have made with the clones and fellow Jedi.
"Ahsoka? Lyra?" Obi Wan woke us up urgently.
"I had a vision." I told him as soon as my eyes focused on his face.
"Me too, I think Anakin may be in trouble." Ahsoka agreed.
"Then let's go save him" Obi Wan nodded in agreement, Ahsoka and I standing to our feet.
~~~

"The longer we stay here, the stranger this place gets." Ahsoka commented as the three of us travelled to find her master who had been separated from us earlier. As we walked through the planet the green was repainted across the landscape.

"It appears the planet is renewing herself." I noted in amazement.

"What about Master Skywalker?" Ahsoka worried for him.

"Anakin will not be easy to deceive." Kenobi claimed. Quickly two creatures fly by and pick us up. I noted the creatures must be the son and the daughter who we had met earlier on our mission. They took us away as we struggled in their grasp.
