Amelia's and Amanda's party dress and footwear--------->

*on my birthday*

I was just sitting on my bed staring at the wall. I have been doing this for quite some time.

After some time I heard my mom's voice “Meli wake up its your……..” my mom just stopped whatever she was saying and looked at me like she has seen a ghost with mouth wide open. I just got that she is not going to complete her sentence.

“…. Birthday. Ya I know” I told her.

I think with that she came out of her shock and asked “Meli are you ok. Are you feeling well? Shall I call pack doctor? Wait I will call your father.”

“Mom, mom I am totally fine mom. Nothing happened to me see I am totally fine.” I told her assuring her. “But mom why are you thinking like something happened to me?” I asked her.

“Well I never saw you waking up on your own. It’s just a bit of shock and I thought that you are actually not feeling well. This is quite a surprise for me you know to see you waking up on your own that’s all.” She said to me.

“See now your wish came true, me waking up early on my own. And I didn’t wake up early, I just couldn’t sleep properly.” I said to her.

“Oh. Anyway what i was saying, Ya Happy birthday meli. Wishing you to have a great life ahead.” She wished me.

“Thanks mom.”

“Get ready your family is waiting for you. Your friends are also there downstairs.” She told.

“Ya just give me few minutes.” I said to her and started getting ready.

After that I got downstairs where everyone is waiting for me.

When I reached them, “Happy birthday princess.” My dad wished me.

“Thank you dad.” I told him giving him a hug.

Alex just gave me a tight hug and said “Happy birthday meli.”

“Thanks bro.” I said to him.

And next my sisters asked me to kneel down in front of them and gave me a hug at a time “Happy birthday.” They wished me.

“Thanks guys.” I told them.

“Happy birthday best friend. How are you feeling finally 18 and all?” Amanda asked me giving me a hug.

“At present nothing special same old.” I told her.

Then matt gave me a hug and wished me “Happy birthday meli.”

“Thanks matt.”

After that, they gave me my presents i opened them excitingly. My father and mother gave me a beautiful small diamond studs. Alex gave me latest i-pod downloaded with all my favorite songs. My sisters gave me a teddybear so cute. Matt gave me a cap with FRIENDS word on it. Amanda gave me a beautiful black bracelet. I thanked everyone and set them in my room.

We started eating breakfast which contained everything my favorite.I thanked my mom for that by giving her a big hug. 

After that everyone started to discuss about the party. As I am the daughter of alpha it is going to be a huge one for sure.

“Meli come on today is your special day we need to go to parlor and some shopping.” Amanda started dragging me.

I told everyone bye. When we are leaving Chris got out of his car. I have been waiting for this moment I just need to look into his eyes. When I looked at his face there is a smile. When I looked into his blue eyes which were with excitement earlier now filled with disappointment. We both can see that we are not mates.

“Amanda can you give us few minutes.” I asked her. She immediately gave me a curious look but left without saying a word and went into her car.

“Happy birthday meli.” Chris said trying to smile.

“Thanks Chris. Like I said last week, your mate is one lucky girl.” I told him.

“And like I said that day, I will always be your friend and protector.” He told me.

“Thank you so much Chris.”

“Your welcome. Looks like you are going somewhere. I need to speak to your brother too so bye.” He said to me going inside.

“Ya bye.” I told him and went in Amanda’s car.

“What was that?” she asked curiously.

I told her everything about Chris while she was driving. By the end of it we reached our destination.

“I know he is very nice guy. Maybe there is some other fate written for you and him. Look after sometime you both will forget all this. you will be happy with your mate and he with his mate." she told me.

“Ya you are right but it's just that he would have been a great mate. Anyway come on we have to go home early.” I said to her dragging inside.

After leaving parlor we did some shopping and ate some snacks in the subway because i was hungry alot even though i ate too much break fast at home. Trust me when I say this, if we go to shopping with Amanda we need a lot of energy for sure like my brother said.

I already bought my birthday dress fews days back. So I just got saved in that department.

By evening we reached my house. Everyone is very busy with preparations.

Amanda joined with me in my room to get ready. First she got ready; her dress is simple but elegant. She is wearing a light lavender knee lenght dress with a blue ribbon around her waist. She is looking very cute in that. She has beautiful lavender wedges which we bought earlier while shopping. She applied her own make up. She is looking good.

Now it’s my turn to get ready. My dress is peach color Crisp lines dance across this chiffon sheath gown. Intricate beading detail circles the baby doll waistband, intersected by twisting cross back straps and keyhole neckline. Zipper back closure. I have got my light peach red bottom shoes.

Amanda fixed my hair in curls. And gave me little makeup. After that i wore my dress without disturbing any make up. Amanda will kill me if i do that so carefully i got ready. Even though i got ready carefully and told her that amanda checked if i had done any damage to my face. After she is sure that everything is perfect she took one over look and gave her bright smile.

“Wow Meli you are looking stunning. I am sure your mate is going to fall head over heels for you at first sight itself.” Amanda said to me.

I don’t know what to say I am not in this world at present just nervous. “What if he is not even here Amanda. What if he is not even going to come to this party.” I asked Amanda putting my own thoughts to her.

“Meli , your father invited all alpha’s and also their beta’s from all over the world. Trust me he will be here. Don’t panic Meli, everything is going to be alright.” Amanda said assuring.

When I was about to reply my mom entered my room, she said while seeing me with unshed tears in her eyes “Oh my daughter is all grown up already. I wish you the best honey with your mate.”

“Thanks mom.” I told her hugging her.

“Come on girls, many guests already arrived. We need to go down.” My mom said.

“Ya. Let’s go.” I told her.

Mom and Amanda left me in my room as i asked for few seconds. I just closed my eyes and wished with all my heart that my mate is present in this party. After that i went outside my room and started going downstairs.

When I got down, I saw that there are already many guests. My father reached me and said “Princess you are looking very beautiful."

“Thanks dad."

"Welcome dear. After sometime everyone will come and meet you untill then stay with your friends.”

“Ok, I will go and find my friends bye.” I told him. And started searching for Amanda and Matt.

When I finally spotted them, they waved at me. I reached there and we started our own conversations. After some time the whole house is packed with all the guests. Alex reached near us with Chris and said “Wow meli you look nice.”

“Thanks Alex.”

“Ya meli, you look beautiful.” Chris said to me smiling a little.

“Thank you Chris. So you guys enjoying.” I asked them.

“Not bad. We have been meeting all the alpha’s and beta’s. How are you enjoying your own party.” Alex asked me.

“Ok I guess.”

“Wait for some time all of them are going to come and meet you. I know dad already must have told you but just letting you know again.” Alex said to me.

“Ok. Any tips how to act infront of them.” I asked them.

"Nothing special just give them respect and try to act that you are interested in what ever they are saying don't let them know that you are bored ok." alex told me.

"Oh that's what you guys do whenever you meet them ha." Amanda asked alex and chris curiously.

"Not all the time but sometimes. Those conversations are boring sometimes you know. And meli let's hope your mate is not a boring dude. I can't see a person miserable." Alex told me.

"Don't worry alex even though he is boring i will be fine and not miserable." I told him assuringly.

"Who are talking about you? I am saying about your mate god help him." Alex said to me. 

"Hey that's not fair you are my brother and you are already supporting my mate." I told him accusingly.

"Yes I am your brother that's why i know about you completely right." he said to me laughing and both him and chris gave each other high-five.

"Hey leave my best friend alone now. Dont upset her." Amanda told my brother.

After that they both left leaving me with my friends. I am glad that chris is back to normal.For some time we just stood having our own conversations.

One after the other mostly all the Alphas and their Betas came and wished me. Well no one is turning out to be my mate. They just started talking about some pack matters. I tried my best to show them that i am listening but some people got that I am not and left me alone. Can you blame me I am searching for my mate here why would I want to talk about other things.

I have been meeting many people but no one is turning out to be my mate. Is he even present in this crowd? For god sake, where is he. My all energy is draining out by talking to all these people. Already mated couples are enjoying the party dancing, some other are just talking to each other. And here I am just waiting for my mate. Where is my mate???

I can’t stay here anymore its suffocating me completely. I am totally in need of fresh air. I looked around and saw that mostly all have introduced themselves to me except some and looks like they are not going to for some time. This is the chance i get to go out for some time.

“Hey Amanda I will just be back. I need some fresh air.” I informed her.

“Ya I can totally understand. But come back immediately ok.” She told me.

“Sure.” I said to her. And started going to the kitchen by giving polite smiles to everyone who i have been passing, by using the back door of our kitchen i entered our backyard.
