lmao I'm trying to start an online store where I share postcards, as if I wasn't busy enough

Basically, I'm gonna be making designs to turn into postcards since the drawing app that I use has a postcard setting, and I personally like the idea

idk who sends postcards anymore but hey, if I make some of them LGBT themed and get an Instagram account with ten bazillion followers to give me some exposure, it might hit off idk

there's always grandparents, aunts, uncles, and plenty of other relatives who'd probably like to send holiday cards to their kiddos or smth

and plus, printing these things off is pretty cheap at Walmart, and since they're literally just papers I'm sure the shipping will be pretty cheap too

it took like 6 or 7 dollars to send a bunch of hair, and that's a bit heavier than frikkin 4x6 sized postcards

watch this ultimately become a failed disaster lmao

I was able to set up an entire website tho, and I'm able to get everything set in stone before I purchase the thing to make it public and working, so that's cool

I get to take as much time as I want before I make it a thing

I did the maths, and I think I have a decent chance of making a profit

but idk lmao

since it's so cheap, and since ik the profit I'll get for whatever the person orders, I decided to put free shipping, but I might put a fifty cent shipping on it, but probably not since I already have a 6% tax on it 'cause I'm paranoid of the government

google said I don't need one, but it also said I might need one now 'cause they did something in the summer of 2018 so idk, either way, it's there 

it costs $25/month to use wix.com, but I did the math to see how much I need to sell in order to cover that a month

Sure it might take a lil bit until it gets actual profit, but ya know what I'm just gonna see what happens

Basically, my plan to make them is to make the arts on my iPad, print them out at Walmart, get 4x6 unlined index cards, put down lines and stuff onto the index cards, use mod podge to attach the pictures to the index cards, then send them off

I'll probably get 5 or 10 copies of the same picture at a time, 'cause 30 copies altogether cost $3.80, 50 cost $8.00, 60 cost $8.00, and 200 frikkin copies cost $22.00

I also got the prices down

1 postcard is $1.50

5 postcards are $5.00 (save $2.50)

and 10 postcards are $8.00 (save $7.00)

ik the price for one postcard is a bit pricey, but that's basically a push for people to buy 5 or even 10 postcards, especially if I list how much they save on the website

idk how I'm gonna program that into the website, but I'll try to find a way lmao

anyways, I got the profits down too

to print 1-60 4x6 pictures, it costs $.16 each

so, 

1 sold gives $1.34 profit

5 sold gives $4.00 profit

and 10 sold gives $6.40 profit

That is assuming I print 60 or less cards at a time, cause the more you print the less they cost

printing 200 copies cost $.11 each

but wtf am I gonna do with 200 pictures if this thing flops??

anyways, in order to make up for that whole $25/month thing, I'll have to sell (considering the same group is being sold to individuals) 

19 of the single orders

or 4 of the 10 orders

and for a $25 PROFIT, I'll have to sell

or 8 ten orders

I spent like 900 hours working on the website and everything to do with this today, so I should probably go to bed if I want to be able to work on anything tomorrow lmao
