Druggos
Fizz gave me drugs cuz my stomach was in pain (thanks Fizz ily <3)
I lowkey highkey complain when I don't feel good but 98% of the time I don't expect anyone to do anything, I just do it to do it cause complaining makes me feel better in these situations XD
So just ignore me whenever I do that, if I actually need something, you'll know
Unless you got actual helpful stuff, then that's cool, but then I'll probably be suspicious of any druggos cuz I like knowing what it does and how it does it and crap
My stomach was in intense pain after lunch, and Fizz gave me the druggos, and when walking to American Cultures, I complained to Toris that I was still in pain, and she told me that it was probably cuz of the Basic and Acid imbalance in my stomach cuz I don't eat healthy
She's probably right XD
Oki so Matt and Hannah did their AC2 presentation (fantastic job, btw 👏) and I wanta lowkey vent about some stuff that they talked about
I want a varsity jacket for Marching Band (that was what the letters meant, right? If I'm wrong, call me out)
Cuz I remember my first year I think, the trumpet player who's a senior this year was telling someone how varsity jackets worked, and she had one for cross country or track, I believe
And she said it costed 50 bucks, but she gets all the money back by the time she graduates
And I thought it was so heckin cool, I want one
And there should be a cut for sports
It makes me cringe so hard on the inside how some people perform in band, and we will improve a quality amount for competitions if they got out
Plus, they weren't here for practice all week as of yet, so they'll just come back on Friday, sooooo
Plus, I feel as if more of the passion for the band would come back, cause then the people who make it legitimately want to do something great
I don't really mind that our band will be smaller, cause then there'll be more quality people who want to be there
And if someone really wanted to join a group and didn't make it, it gives them something to work harder for
And when someone does make it, it's likely that they'll want to be the best that they can
Ya know those people who strive to be better than everyone else?
I just thought how stressful and disappointing that'd be, cause there's always someone who's better than you
I heard this one saxophone player from the Cressona Band talk about how she and another person basically compete against each other, and it seems like they're both really passionate with what they do
It'll be crushing the be the "lesser" one
Besides, being "better" than someone is used so generally
Someone could have a better tone while the other is better at sight reading
One could be better at memorization while the other is better at intricate technique
I actually wanted to be as close to the best as possible the first year I did Junior County Band, and I was really upset when I made fifth chair when I made my goal the top three, and I look back at myself like "bOI there are people who'd be glad to have that chair. Chill"
Trying to be "the best" is super stressful, but being "your best" is something very different
I'd rather be last chair or join a group of professionals and get to experience something new than never get to experience it at all
The drum major this year thinks that I should try out for districts this year, and I'm just "heh, I mean, I'll try, but County tested me a lot, so I have no clue if I'll even make it in the first audition"
Cause there are some really heckin good people at both band and chorus
I guess Imma try anyways, I aint got nothing to lose
*dabbs*
