Double Sided Buttered Toast
I don't remember if I talked about indoor color guard in here yet or not, so Imma do that now~
So the different flag and dance things have names, but I confuse myself because I lowkey gave them all my own names so I can "remember them better", but in reality it made it harder to remember what's what
Some of them, I do know the names of, like "palm rolls" "drop spins" and "extensions", cause they made sense to me
But I call one of them "stirring the soup" because it feels like I'm doing just that, and one of them "double buttered toast"
And I made up names for the fancy walks/runs/dance things (??) different names, too
Like "don't be a duck" or "don't be a t-rex"
Cause that's what it feels like when I do it wrong XD
I asked a senior friend how to do a type of toss, cause it looked cool, but she was told not to teach me
Then the person in charge said she could show me, so she started showing me how she does it, and the other person called her out on it cause she didn't trust me XD
I don't blame her, tho. Me and the other newbies already hit ourselves with the other basic things, tossing would only be a handful rn lel
But color guard is fun, I'm dating my flag
His name is Jimmy
One of the people in charge told me I was doing really well and what I did looked good, and I feel so accomplished
So worth the bruises XD
My frikkin arms and wrists are so weak rn tho, I make fun of it cause I find it amusing
We also do a lot of work out routines, cause the entire show thing requires a lot of endurance, considering all the movment, flagwork, and the possibility of getting hit throughout the entire show
They talked about getting concussions like it's normal, so I wouldn't be surprised if I got one from it someday
There are so many injuries in colorguard, it's crazy, but it's fun
Plus, it's getting me ready for track too, so I'm excited for that
I think just got out of going to a party tomorrow, so I'm glad *dabbs*
Legit, there's been so much people-ing lately, I'm exhausted
My mom says she feels bad when she's out having a good time with her friends while my brothers and dad and I are home, but I'd much rather stay home than go to a party
Especially when 99% of the people are her friends, talking about me in tagalog so I have no clue what they're saying, then asking me questions in english, me answering, then them either continuing the conversation with me (which I don't mind) or making comments about it to each other in tagalog that makes me feel awkward
But now I believe I get to stay home and do basically whatever the heck I want
*dabbs*
