Ash's P.O.V:
It's 7pm and I'm already dressed in my usual black jeans, but this time I grab a button down shirt instead of a t-shirt, it feels more appropriate and the last thing I want is mum pointing out my laziness. I take one last look in the mirror, grab my stuff and leave my room.

I take my time down the stairs, lighting a cigarette as I walk. Tonight's gonna be a long night, I need something to calm my nerves.

I lean on my car and look up at the sky. The sun had set ages ago and the sky was now dark blue. I wonder if Kaia is ready, knowing girls they take ages. On that note I slowly walk towards her room.

Just as I'm about to reach, I see Elena. She spots me and walks up to meet me.

"Where you off to player?" Elena says with a chuckle. She had grease on her arms, probably just came back from the garage.

"Nowhere special, just taking Kaia to dinner at my mum's" I said, smirking.

"Oh my fucking gosh! You guys made up?" Elena asked me excitedly.

"Yep. Now we're good. She knows everything that went down" I said happily.

"That's awesome bro!" Elena says, throwing her arms around me. I'm glad she didn't tell Kaia anything, I don't know how she would have reacted, hearing what happened from Elena instead of me.

"Okay that's enough, you'll ruin my shirt" I said straightening up my shirt. Elena playfully punches my arm before walking back to her bike.

"What you doing here anyway? I ask her.

"Um.. I was hoping to see Dani but she's still at the gym. She just texted" Elena said, scanning the place.

"Oh okay, well I'm just gonna pick Kaia up then we're off- by the way Axel is in town, take him out please".

Elena lets out a loud laugh.
"No fucking way bro! Hell no!".

"What? Why not?" I said with a smirk.

"I can stand you but I can't stand him. Him and his insults" Elena says before starting up her bike and taking off.

I chuckled at what she said then headed to Kaia's door. I took a deep breath then knocked twice on her door.
I could hear shuffling from inside the room and also the music had died down. I'm guessing she was still getting ready.

After a few seconds the door flung open and Kaia was standing there, all dressed up.
Her eyes lit up when she saw me.
Meanwhile, I stood there like a frozen duck in winter staring at my beautiful girlfriend. Wow, did I just say that? Girlfriend. Sounds so foreign coming from me.

Kaia looked absolutely stunning in her white lace dress. She shouldn't have dressed up this good, Axel and mum don't deserve her this good. She deserves to go out, so everyone can see how amazing she is and how lucky I am to have her. She looked like an angel. My angel.

"Um hello, Ash!....Ashton! ASHTON!".

I quickly shake my head and snap out of it. Fuck, I must have been staring too hard again. This girl will be the death of me, I swear.

"Yeah, hey love. You look amazing in that dress" I said to her weakly. Can she tell I'm about to pass out? I hope not.

"I'll just be out in a sec, just gotta find my shoes" she says, before disappearing into her room.

I stand outside her door and wait for her to return. I glance at the time on my phone, it reads 7:35pm. I had two missed calls from that prick James but I guess I couldn't hear it.

"Alright, let's go" Kaia says, locking her door.
I hold her hand and walk her to my car. She smiles at me and I plant a small kiss on her dimple before opening the door for her.
I rush over to my side and hop in.

It's a 20 minute drive to mum's place. I switch on the radio and I see Kaia's face instantly light up when she hears Coldplay.

"Oh my gosh I love this song" she says, reaching out to turn it up.

I'm guessing she's a big fan.

"You like Coldplay?" I ask her curiously.

She looks at me with wide eyes.
"Um..of course! They're my favorite. Don't you like them?" She asks.

"Well. I guess I like them a bit" I answered.

She laughed at me and started swaying to the music.
"I like them alot" she said.

Looks like there's a lot of things I've yet to find out about Kaia. At least I know her favorite band, that's one step ahead.

I pull up outside mum's place and took a deep breath. Hope tonight goes well. I hope Kaia will still be with me tomorrow. Who knows what shit Axel will pull.

I look at Kaia and she has a nervous look on her face. I squeeze her hand and remind her that she looks gorgeous and mum and Axel will love her just as much as I do.

We step out of the car and walk up the long driveway. Once we reach the door, I ring the door bell and wait. I glance towards the garage and notice two bikes parked inside. Who the fuck does that belong to?

Axel opens the door and takes in my appearance.

"Wow. Someone actually had a shower" He said smartly.

"Shut up asshole" I replied.

I held onto Kaia's hand and led her inside the massive house.
Axel stops us before we could take another step.

"Hang on mate, you never introduced me to this one. How rude can you be?" Axel said and I rolled my eyes at his dumb ass.

"Hello there, I'm Axel- Ash's good-looking, elder brother" this twat says, holding out his pale ass hand to shake Kaia's.

Kaia lets go of my hand and holds it out for Axel to shake.

"Hi, I'm---"

"Absolutely gorgeous" Axel cuts in, shaking her hand.

I feel like slapping his head but I'm trying to be on my best behavior for her. Instead, I glare at him. He looks at me with a smirk. Fucking asshole.

I hold onto Kaia's hand and lead her through to the dining area. We take a seat at the table and I notice that mum's got extra placings at the table. What the hell for?

Axel takes a seat opposite me and I kick his leg from beneath the table. He shouts in pain and kicks me back. I look over at Kaia and see her covering her mouth. She's probably laughing at this cunt across from me.

Mum enters the room in a pretty red dress and an apron on top of it. Her hair was let down and she looked beautiful. Her face lit up when she saw Kaia and I sitting at the table.

"Oh I'm so glad you made it darlings! Tonight is going to be great! Dinner will be served in a few minutes" She said cheerfully before disappearing into the kitchen again.

We sat quietly at the table waiting for the food to arrive when I heard laughter coming from the balcony. I turned around in my seat and saw Shawn and James smoking outside.

"What the fuck are they doing here?! I asked Axel. This can't be happening. I can't have them in the same room as mum and Kaia, especially Kaia, she still has no idea.

"Look bro, I had no idea. It was mum's doing. I was surprised you still hung out with these asses" Axel said, chuckling.

"I fucking don't! That's the thing!" I replied.

"Oh, I didn't know it was a big dinner" Kaia said, looking outside as well.

"Me too, love" I said with a sigh.

Mum enters with the food. Finally! I'm fucking sitting here nervous and starving.

She takes a seat at the head of the table and sends Axel to call James and Shawn inside. Axel arrives few seconds later and sits back down. James takes a seat beside Kaia, how fucking dare he!
Shawn sits beside Axel and smiles at Kaia. Fuck.

"Thank you all for coming. It's been ages since I've been back, and ages since I've seen my Ashton. Where's the other two?" Mum asks and I'm slightly puzzled. What is she talking about? What other two?

"On their way maybe" Shawn answered politely.

"Alright then let's not wait for them, dig in everyone" mum says.

I look at Kaia and she's enjoying her food so far.

"Are you okay?" I ask her with a smile.

"More than okay. Thanks for inviting me" she says with a smile. My heart melts when she smiles. She's so bloody perfect.

Dinner was going well so far. Axel was busy chatting with Shawn and mum was laughing at James' dry jokes. I kept talking to Kaia so she didn't get bored.

Tonight wasn't so bad. I thought it would be much worse. Axel is behaving himself, that's new.

Suddenly the door bell rang and Axel stood up to see who it was. This ass should just be a doorman since he loves opening doors.

Few seconds later the door shuts and I hear Axel returning. Wonder who it was.

"Good evening everyone! So sorry I'm late, I was waiting for Brody to pick me up but turns out he's not coming" the person said.

Her voice was familiar and I hated hearing it. I felt like standing up from here and leaving. Why did mum invite her? What the fuck?

Mum looked at her and held out her arms for a hug.

"Yvonne darling! It's so nice to see you. Come here girly!" Mum said to her.

I nervously glance over at Kaia who is now staring directly at Yvonne, her face full of anger.
I try to hold onto her hand under the table but she flinches and pulls her hand away.

Oh god, mum! What have you done?
