"Is he awake yet?" I heard Ember moan. Her voice sounded fuzzy like a echo vibrating off of stone walls.

"There's eye movement!" Bell exclaimed in delight.

But as soon as she said that I drifted back into a dark box like dream. I felt like I was being trapped and twisted until I couldn't feel my body anymore.

It seemed like only seconds ago that I fell back unconscious when there was a cold oily curtain wrapping around me.

"Uuuhhh get it off me." I whined quietly opening my eyes so I could see what was going on.

I was soaking wet from a move Bruce had just done.

That explains the cold feeling.

When my eyes narrowed to see the scenery everything looked destroyed. The once long green grass was now short yellow and had a straw like texture. There was odd patches of burnt out leaves and the sky had turned into a dark eerie blue with no stars.

"Your awake!!!" Flicker cried in delight. "I-I thought y-you weren't gonna make it."

Flicker jumped on me gently trying not to hurt me as much.

"How yah feelin tough guy?" Asked Bruce with a twinkle in his eyes. He looked grateful that I was still alive.

"Yeah, I'm ok I still really hurt though. Anyway where's Bu-" I started but didn't end due to Bell.

"He's over there. Some pokemon have already tried to take his body away, probably to eat it but Bruce stopped them." Bell's eyes gravely averted from mine and on to a small but very deep looking ditch.

"What kind of pokemon were they? And why would they want to eat him?" I asked confusingly.

"It doesn't matter, here eat these berries it will help regain your energy." Bruce pushed some berries under my nose and looked at me sternly.

"Ok ok! So what happened after I fell unconscious?" I interrogated softly filling my face full of the berries.

"Well, when you guys collided there was an explosion. Fire and water was scattering everywhere. Then we saw Bubble go flying past hurtling towards the spot he's in now. The weird thing is, is that when that happened the sky grew darker and the grass grew into this straw like condition. That's why we thought... you know..." Flicker nodded his head meaning I was supposed to know something.

"Well the good thing is that your alright now aren't yah sonny?" Smiled Bruce.

"Yeah, so should we get moving then?" I asked happily.

"Are you strong enough yet?? I don't think you are. I think we shou-"

Here Ember goes again worry, worry and, more worry.

"Look I'm fine so lets go! We need to cover as much ground as we can. Come on then!!!" I got up slowly then I bounded up to Bell like I hadn't even been hurt.

"Ha he looks ok. Who ever's last to that tree on the other side wins a rotten pokemon egg!!" Squealed Bell running as fast as she could.

"Wait up!" Laughed Flicker

"I don't want to be last!" Chuckled Bruce taking to the sky.

As everyone was running I happened to look back. I wished I didn't. There was a upright shadow staring at us. It then turned and walked in the opposite direction.

He's alive.
