"FLAME! HURRY UP" Indigo screamed pulling at her trapped paw rapidly.

"Flame? Could it be-?" Questioned Dust with a shocked look in his deep brown eyes but, was interrupted by Joey.

"Hey there, I'm not gonna hurt you, here... let me help you." Muttered Joey reaching out towards Indigo but, she leapt back without realising her paw was still trapped in the hole so, it made a sickening crunch sound.

*Scream*

"Don't touch her!" I hissed at both of them jumping in front of Indigo showing my sharp gleaming white teeth.

"Flame? I-Is that you?" Asked Dust in amazement approaching me, tilting his head like all of us did when we were unsure about something.

"Ah this is so cool! I'm gonna catch another Growlithe but this one looks even stronger! And I'm going to have my first ever shiny!" Joey laughed jumping up and down in excitement. Then he felt his leg and called out to Dust:

"Hey Growlithe make sure they stay put I want to catch them but I have no pokeballs on me. I'll be back!" So with that Joey sprinted back to his den swiftly.

"Your friend looks hurt, maybe I can help her." Dust tried to come closer to Indigo pushing me to the side.

"Stay away!" I growled smashing him down on the ground.

I really didn't want to do that. But what will happen when Joey comes back? What are pokeballs? And why did he call Dust, Growlithe? We have actually got names!

"Flame, please calm down. I know you have a lot of questions but, we don't have much time. Joey will be back and he wants to capture you!" Dust whispered shaking himself so he wasn't covered in dirt.

"Dust... I'm sorry." I looked away from him so I could see Joey's den and any movement that came from inside.

"Flame, let's help your friend first then we will talk." Dust quickly started to dig at the hole making it deeper and more wider until Indigo could extract her paw with ease.

"Thanks I was really starting to freak out there. Luckily I'm ok though" Indigo gulped looking at Dust with a half smile.

"My pleasure miss and, I'm glad your not hurt!" Dust sweetly smiled at Indigo.

"Heh ok brake it up, brake it up you two! Dust we need to talk, now! Come on you haven't seen Ember or Flicker yet and I bet they really want to see you."

I started to nudge Dust over to the place that they were hiding but he soon stopped.

"What about Joey?" Dust asked looking over to where Joey's den was.

"Dude we're family... doesn't that mean anything to you?" I questioned surprised.

"Yeah I'm sorry. Your right, now where is Ember and Flicker?

As I directed him to where they were hiding, I couldn't help but think that he didn't mean what he said.

He wants to stay with Joey. But why? What's so good about him?
I don't trust him, especially when he is around Indigo. His master want's her so will he try and please him by taking her away? Well I'm not going to let that happen especially not to Indigo.
