"How about you come along with us." I suggested tilting my head to the right trying to engage eye contact with Indigo.

"Really?! You want me to come with you?!" She asked surprisingly.

"You have to, your all alone and vulnerable." Ember pipped up.

Indigo shot Ember an embarrassed look.

"I'm sorry but you and I both know it's true. Also some pokemon can be unbelievable cruel, you don't deserve it. So come with us and be safe for once in your life."

Silence crept in the shadows claiming all of us until, Flicker sighed loudly breaking the eerie moment.

"Ok.. can I come with you?" Indigo asked shyly looking directly at me.

"Yeah sure you can!" I smiled back at her.

"Wow wait a minute aren't we forgetting sombody else's approval?" Bell mentioned looking at the furthest tree away from us.

"How could we forget Bruce?" Flicker laughed.

"Who's Bruce?" Asked Indigo looking worried again.

"Bruce is awsome! He saved us you know and, he can do this really cool move that I have never seen before and-" Flicker started to ramble on about how cool Bruce was, but I couldn't help feel unsure about Bruce all of a sudden.

He didn't want us to come over here. Did he know Indigo was here? And if he did why did he try to stop us from coming here? Is Bruce really who we think he is or is he hiding something?

"What's the matter Flame, something wrong?" Ember stared into my eyes intensely.

"I don't know if I'm over reacting or, just being silly but, I have a feeling about-"

"Hey look it's Bruce!!!! He's coming to join us!!" Bell squealed in delight.

Just the pokemon I wanted to see. I thought sarcastically letting out a huge sigh.

"Carry on Flame, what were you gonna say?" Ember pushed.

Before I could say anything though Bruce landed elegantly on the darkened earthy soil, lightly making an indent to go with all the other prints that were sprinkled on the floor.

"Did you find this wee pokemon in one of them hole's?" Interrogated Bruce sternly.

"Yes we did. Did you know she was here?" I lightly returned a question.

"No I didn't but I did know something was in the hole's so, I jumped to conclusions and thought the worst, I'm sorry." Bruce answered with a softer look on his face staring at Indigo with all of her darkened scars.

A few moments passed by with all of us just looking at each other when Bruce spoke again.

"So, what's your name lassie?"

"My name's Indigo sir." Indigo whispered shyly.

"Ha! No need to be calling me sir! Me name's Bruce, well I think you already know that don't you!" Bruce smiled widely.

"Yep, I've heard great things about you Bruce. Not just from these guys but from pokemon all around the world."

"Wait are you famous?" Flicker burst out in excitement.

"No I wouldn't say famous, I'd say well known." Winked Bruce.

"So what did you do to become 'well known'?" Bell asked her eyes becoming bigger and bigger.

"I defeat bad pokemon who picked on the unfortunate one's. And I also helped Indigo here." He waved a enormous feathered covered wing at Indigo.

"Wow!!!! So what happened?!?!?" Flicker gasped with more excitement looking like he was going to explode.

"Nothing much, the usual day really. Pokemon came to where I was living at the time and poked fun at me, then it turned physical and..." Indigo brushed the hair on the top of her head down to try and cover the deep scar that ran along her left eye.

"They did that to you!" I spat in disgust.

Some pokemon can be like dirt. Everyone thinks their innocent and cute but their not. Vile and sick that's what some of them are.

"I saw them terrorising her and put a stop to it straight away. I told her to move to another area where she couldn't get hurt again." Bruce told us seeing that Indigo couldn't go on any further.

"So-" Flicker was just about to ask a question when I butted in.

"That's enough. Let's just get moving shall we? We have a lot of ground to cover and not enough time."

"Indigo is coming with us I guess." Bruce stated smiling warmly at her.

"Yup come on then let's go!" Flicker bounced off followed by Bell right behind him. Then Indigo and Ember slowly trotting together chatting about girl stuff, next came Bruce in the sky loudly humming to himself.

I was at the end of course thinking to myself like normal. Until I felt someone staring at us. I turned rapidly on my toes to see who the stranger was but as it was so dark I couldn't see anything.

I ran up to Ember and Indigo whipping my head back every time I would look away.

"Is there a problem Flame?" Indigo asked looking panicked like Ember.

"Let's just move ok. I'll tell you later." I replied moving them along.
