As soon as the bus halts, all the students  storm out, excitedly making their way to the campus. Except me.

Without leaving my seat, I just sit and glare at the campus. I notice it includes a huge white building with  'Wendy College' written in big, bold letters. From the window of the bus, I can clearly identify the immense basketball court where all the grand basketball matches are held.  The cafeteria and the massive auditorium are clearly visible. I can see something else, but  I can't make out what it is. It looks like.....

"Hey, everyone have gotten off already. Come on, they're waiting," Nancy interrupts me.

"Oh, sorry I didn't realize," I answer.

"Are you okay? You look really pale," Nancy inquires.

"I'm fine," I assure her while getting up from my seat.

There's a tiny voice inside my head telling me to just keep sitting or if possible, run and hide. Okay! I can do it. I HAVE to do this, it's not like I have another option, anyway.

Finally, with super human effort, I arrive at the entrance of the building. There's a teacher wearing red spectacles and holding a sheet in her hand, she shouts, "To the auditorium, all freshmen go to the auditorium now!"

Thankfully,  it was significantly easier to find a seat in the auditorium than on the bus. Nancy and I take our seats, which are located in the center. It takes few seconds for everyone to settle down and then an old teacher comes on the stage. She announces, "Good Morning students, we are pleased to welcome you all to this institution. We promise you that you will have a wonderful and memorable time in the college......"

I don't know for how long she was speaking before my mind floats off to another place. I remember they said the same thing to us in my previous school, but they were wrong. It was nothing close to wonderful or worth remembering. It was all a lie.
