While Optimus, Arcee, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, and Megatron left for Unicron's spark, Ratchet stayed behind with Madalyn, Cole, and the rest of the humans. They were all up at the communication center in the command center. Madalyn was sitting on the railing while stairing at the key card, Optimus gave her. "Why would Optimus give me this key card? He said it was the key to the ground bridge supply. Plus he said it was important. Ground bridge supply I guess is pretty important. But I have a feeling this key card is more than meet's the eye." thought Madalyn. Then Madalyn stops her train of thought when she hear's more news on the natural diasters up on Ratchet's computer screen. "More than 60 volcano's are erupting world wide. And downtown Hanalulu, is under 6 intch's of snow! Scientist's continue to advise theorys connected to the planetary allinement which..." said the reporter then the TV went all static and showed those connection error rainbow type screens. "Man, these things keep getting worse. First tsunami's in Canada, and now snow in Hawiai?!?" said Cole. "Tell me about it." said Miko. Then Ratchet turn's off the screen and June turns to the kids. "So, who wants to play a game?" asked June. "I'm not really in the mood for a game right now June." answered Madalyn as she put the key card in her pocket. Then Agent Fowler started getting all angry and walked towards the elavator. "That tears it!" yelled Fowler. "Where are you going?" asked June. "I can't just sit on my hands while the world spins out of control!" answered Fowler. "And what exactly is it that you intend to do?" asked Ratchet. "Anything! Hook up with my boys at the Pentagon, and figure out a way to bury that monster for good!" answered Fowler. "In the event Optimus can't?" askedRatchet. "You mean Optimus AND Megatron?" asked Fowler."Oh he did not just go there!" whispered Cole to his sister. "No one is thrilled about this arrangment Agent Fowler. Myself included. This gladiator turned revanlutionary and gathered a local following, Soundwave, cheif amoung them.Orion became corresponding with Megatronus, who came to become something of a mentor to him. As Megatronus left the arena for the political, he saw fit to shorten his name." explained Ratchet. "Yeah, shorten it to Megatron." said Cole. "Before long, Megatron appeared before the high council, to propose his vision, for a just society. And it was here, that Megatron began to show his true colours. Proclaiming to throw the old guard with force, and demanded that he became the next Prime. But Orion did not believe in violence as a means of acheiving justice. The sparks and minds of the council were moved by Orion's words. Here for the first time since Cybertron's Golden Age, stood someone worthy of being a Prime." continued Ratchet. "That's our boy!" said Madalyn. "But that honnor could only be achieved by earning the legendary Matrex of Leadership. His ambitions thorted, Megatron spikefully ended all tides with Orion and the council. And came to wage war on all who opposed him through his growing army of followers which he named Decepticons. He vowed to claim the Matrex for himself, where-ever it might lie. Intime, warfare consumed Cybertron. Poisoning the planet to it's very core. Orion journeyed to the core, hoping to reverse the ill effects and found himself before the very spark of life given, Primus himself. The healing Primus, sensed courage, and bravery in Orion and passed on the Matrex of Leadership upon him. It was thus, that a surprised and humbleOrion Pax, came to be, Optimus. The last of the Prime's." finnished Ratchet. "Wow." whispered Madalyn.

"So, Optimus got the Matrex from Cybertron's core and now he's going to give it to Earth's?" asked Miko. "What's to stop Megatron from taking the Matrex for himself this time around?" asked Jack. "Only his greater obession to save this planet, so that he may inturn conquer it. As he so compellingly argued, provided the Lord of the Decepticons can ever, be fully trusted." answered Ratchet. Madalyn walked back to the railing and sat on top of it and took out the key card again. She held it in her hand examining it. "Hm, maybe this has something to do with Ratchet's story? Only time will tell. But the question is, why is it so important? And why did Optimus give it to me?" thought Madalyn. Meanwhile, Ratchet was checking the computer to try to communicate with Optimus and the others. "Communication links are down, as expected. But we've lost their signal." said Ratchet. "But doesn't that mean?" asked Raf nervously. "Usually, but a more likely explanation would be the sever interferance caused by these electromagnetic anomilaies." answered Ratchet. "So if we can't track them, and they can't contact us.." said Raf. "How are we gonna know when they're ready for pick up?" asked Miko. "Yeah, they gotta let us know!" said Cole. Ratchet was silent for a moment then he looked over at Madalyn, wondering why she's been so quiet all day. That's when he saw that key card in her hand. He couldn't believe his optics. "Madalyn, where did you get that?" asked Ratchet. "Optimus gave it to me. He said it was important but he said it was for the ground bridge. So I was thinking that you should have it instead of me." answered Madalyn as she extended her hand to give they key card to Ratchet. "Madalyn, there is no key to the ground bridge." answered Ratchet. "What?" asked Madalyn as she took back the key card and looked at it "Then what is it?" "That, is the key to Vector Sigma." answered Ratchet. "Vector Sigma? I remember Optimus telling me a legend out it." said Madalyn as she got off the rail and walked over to Ratchet. "You are holding one of Cybertron's most important relic's." said Ratchet. "Whoa your serious? But I don't know if I should have it or not." said Madalyn. "Optimus, intrusted it to you Madalyn." replyed Ratchet. "I know, but why me?" asked Madalyn. "Because he doesn't plan on coming back." answered Ratchet. Madalyn was shocked at Ratchet's answer. She looked at him then at the key card. "What..... but... he said he would. Why did he give me this if he's not coming back?" thought Madalyn.

Then all of a sudden the ground started shaking and afew small rocks came coming down from the ceiling. "What's going on?!?" said Madalyn. "What's happening?!?" said Cole. "Earthquake!" yelled Fowler. "Take cover!" yelled Ratchet as all the humans ran towards Ratchet, and Ratchet covered them with arms and upper body for protection. "Aww man this is getting way out of hand!" said Raf. "I hope Optimus give's Unicron the Matrex soon!" said Miko. "Yeah, this will be all over!" said Cole. "Yeah, all over..." whispered Madalyn as she took cover next to Cole and Fowler. Then Cole looked over to his sister and holded her hand. "Sis, just in case, if this plan doesn't work, I just want you to know, that your the best sister a brother could have asked for!" said Cole. "Same with me bro!" replyed Madalyn. They hugged each other, and when the ground started shaking even more, they got scared and kept holding to each other. "This is crazy!" yelled Fowler as he grabed a hold of his kids.

"Hey, guess, listen!" yelled Cole. The ground stoped shaking and the computer's came back on. "The earthquake stoped!" said Madalyn."There could be after shocks." said June. "What about the other natural diasters?" asked Jack. Miko ran over to the TV area and turned the news on. "They all stoped! Earth is back to normal!" said Miko. "Optimus did it! We won!" cheered Madalyn. The kids cheered and grouped hugged each other and celebrated. "But wait what about the communication?" asked Raf. Ratchet's main computer came back online and it showed everyone's signal. "Yes! There alive!" cheered Cole. "Yes!" cheered Fowler as he hugged June. "Whoa! Ok, I did not see that coming." whispered Miko to Madalyn and Cole. They giggled alittle at Miko's comment as Fowler got embarrest and pulled away from June. "Let's open up the ground bridge and get them out of here." said Ratchet.

Ratchet walked over to the ground bridge controls and locked on the Autobots coordinates. The humans climbed down the ladder and ran infront of the ground bridge. Ratchet opened the ground bridge and after a couple seconds of waiting, Arcee, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead came through. But no sign of Optimus. "Arcee!" said Jack. "I was worried Bulk'!" said Miko. "Bumblebee!" said Raf. "Your ok!" said Cole as he and Miko, Jack, and Raf ran to their Autobot Guardians. But Optimus wasn't there. "And Optimus?" asked Ratchet. The Autobot's looked down at the floor with a sad look. "Is he...?" asked Madalyn. "Dead, no." answered Arcee. "But he looked right at us without reconizing us. He didn't even know his own name." added Bulkhead. The humans were surprised at what Bulkhead said. "Hmm, when Optimus surrendered the Matrex, he lost more than the collective wisdom of the Prime's. He lost his own memories." said Ratchet. Madalyn was even more shocked about what Ratchet said. "Optimus..." whispered Madalyn. Fowler walked over to his daughter and hugged her. "It's gonna be alright, Madalyn. Hang in there." said Fowler. Arcee knelt down beside them and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Madalyn?" asked Arcee. Madalyn moved away from the head, wiped her face with her jean jacket sleve abit, then looked up at Arcee "I promise you we'll get Optimus back." "You think so?" asked Madalyn. "We know so." answered Bulkhead. Madalyn smiled at them and shed a small tear. "Thanks you guys." said Madalyn.
