It's been 4days since Lilly and Dan moved, I really missed them but they always called to check on me. Christopher and Melissa only message me whenever they're free. I spend most of my night talking to Kel. Uncle came home last night, that was the first time I've seen him since our last encounter. I guess he's here to stay.

It's a Saturday morning, which is the day I go the gym. I walked over to my wardrobe to pick a clothes. I settled on a sweatshirt,a joggers, a baseball cap and a sneakers.

On my way down the stairs I heard Uncle shouting at someone over the phone, so I decided to eaves drop. I know it's bad but I don't know why but I had a feeling something was wrong.

"I want him dead before tomorrow afternoon..."uncle yelled at the person at the other end.

"......he'll expose our secret about my brother and his wife's death"he said a little softly more like a whisper.

What! I said in my head.

What does uncle have to do with my parents death. I was curious, as I about to barge in, a voice in my head cautioned me.

He might hurt you. I think its better if you act like you don't know anything for now. The voice said.

"Ding dong"the door bell rung snapping me out of my thought. I began to walk towards the stairs to, when a voice stopped me, making me to jump in fright.

"Mia…do you need something"uncle said with a frown on his face.

"No…no…yes…I mean…I was about to come tell you I wanted to go to the gym"I stuttered with a shaky voice.

Uncle stared daggers at me like he knew I was eaves dropping on his conversation. I wanted to look down at my feet, but if i do he'll sense the fear in me, so I kept my  eyes fixed on his face.

"Ding dong"the be rang again, snapping us out of our staring competition.

"I'll…I'll get the door"I said softly as I walked briskly towards the door. I opened the door to see a guy around my age smiling stupidly at me.

"Hello"he said still smiling,which was annoying.

"Hi, may I……"I spoke but uncle cut me short.

"Ohh…Peter you're here"uncle said as he walked down the stairs.

"Hi Nicole"Peter said, I guess that's his name.

"Uncle…I need to go to the gym now"I said looking at uncle straight in the eye.

"First let me introduce you to our new neighbor"uncle said

What! We have a new neighbor, since when. But, how come uncle is so familiar with them.  My subconscious asked me.

I have no idea too.  I replied her.

"Well they moved in yesterday night and his dad and I are business partners"uncle said, seeming like he read my thought.

"Hi I'm Peter Ray"Peter said stretching out his hand for an handshake.

"Hi, I'm Mia Betenga"I replied him taking his hand in mine, shaking it gently.

"See you around then"I said as I picked my gym bag from the couch.

"At least offer him a drink or…"uncle said but Peter cut him short.

"Nevermind sir, just let her go for her workout, we'll catch up some other time"he said still smiling stupidly.

"Okay then…don't be home until 4pm"uncle said.

"It's just a workout I'll take just 2hrs it's still 9:20am in the morning uncle"I said raising my eyebrows in confusion.

"Well I'm the elder in this house and you'll do just as I say"uncle said a light too loud more like a little yell.

"Well you might be the elder in this house but I donwant I want…cos you're not my dad"I said almost screaming.

"Just do as I say or…"he said but I didn't wait for him to finish his statement before I walked out of the house slamming the door behind me.

I rested my back on the door. I was about to move when I heard something dropped inside.

"Nicole, just calm down please"I heard Peter's voice. I leaned my ear on the door to listen to their conversation properly.

"She's pissing me off,but I'll have to endure with all this shit till I get what I want. That's why I called you here to help me teach her some manners"I heard uncle's voice this time.

What lesson is he talking about.  My subconscious said.

I don't know,but all this is strange, and I'll make sure I get to the bottom of this.  I replied her.

I walked to the gym, still thinking about uncle and Peter's conversation. Uncle just gave me more reasons to be suspicious about him.

I finished at the gym by 10:30, I took a shower and wore a new clothes from the spare one in my lock. I always put  spare clothes in my gym locker, just in case.

I decided to go to the studio. I got there after 30mins of walking. I walked in, exchange pleasantries with everyone.

"Hi rocky, hi Jake, hi Lizzy  "I greeted them. The three of them are my studio friends nothing more, we're not so close.

"Hi Mia, you have a new song?" Jake said blushing. Jake always had a crush on me but I only liked him as a friend. I just can't force what I feel.

"No, just think I can pull something off and I just want to spend the rest of my day here"I replied smiling broadly at him.

"Then lets rock"Rocky said as we all giggled.
