Narrator POV

The Hoenn region, is a region of the Pokémon world. It is located south of Sinnoh. Hoenn was created after Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre were formed. Primal Groudon raised the landmasses and Primal Kyogre filled the seas that would later become Hoenn. The meeting of these two created a great battle for supremacy until it was quelled by Mega Rayquaza, sending Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre into caverns where they rested until they were awakened hundreds of years later.

On this day, which is the anniversary of the region's creation, many people gathered in towns and cities to celebrate the creation of their region. The festival lasts for a week. During this time, airports and ships are shut down until the festival has ended. Luckily there was a ship coming in the port in Slateport city. The ship is full of trainers from all over the world that come to the festival to get special treats and tournaments that are only available during it. 

Out of all the trainers on this ship, there are two that we'll focus on. A girl who is willing to battle anyone who stands in her way. Cake, the eeveeultionist who hunts down sweets. She came from Snowpoint city in Sinnoh to taste the sweets of the festival. On the other side of the ship is a boy who has a peculiar pokemon on his shoulder. Leo, the newly form trainer who came to Hoenn from Pallet town in kanto to start his pokemon journey. These two might not know it just yet, but they'll be in a battle that'll change everything.

~Slateport City~

Music can be heard throughout Slateport as the S.S. Annie makes its last load of trainers for the week. Cake is one of the first trainers off the ship.

"Yahoo! I finally made it to Hoenn!" She yells jumping up and down. The other trainers that were on the ship join her in the fun. Leo, who was one of the last to get off, looked over to his Zorua on his shoulder. "We made it Layla. From here on out we'll be the best in this region!" He said getting fired up. Other trainers who came for the same reason taunted Leo and kept walking. "Let's go to the pokemon center." Layla agreed. While Leo was going to the pokemon center, Cake was challenged by a ace trainer. 

"Let's go Sylveon!" Cake threw a pokeball that opened to revel a pokemon people haven't seen before. "What's that pokemon?" "Is it a psychic type?" "There's a battle going on. lets check it out." People surround Cake and the Ace trainer. The Ace trainer looked at the Sylveon and nodded. "Rosa let's go." He tossed a ultraball and a Roserade popped out. Cake was starting to get worried since fairy types were weak to poison attacks. "Sylveon use moonblast!" Cake commanded. "Dodge and use sludge bomb." Roserade stepped to the side to avoid the attack from Sylveon. "Quick use psychic!" Cake commanded. Roserade used the sludge bomb before Sylveon can use psychic. The sludge bomb knocked Cake's pokemon out instantly.

"W-what?" Cake was confused at what happened and returned Sylveon to the pokeball. The Ace trainer recalled his Roserade. "You should train a bit more." He told Cake then left. Cake went to the pokemon center to heal Sylveon and bumps into Leo. "Sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going." Leo apologizes. "It's my bad. I was in a hurry." Cake told the trainer. Cake got her pokemon healed and found Leo buying items at the pokemart.

"So....are you a local?" Cake asked him. It's easy to get lost in Hoenn without a guide. "Nope I just got here." Then Leo left the shop. 

~Time skip~

It was time to start the tournament for the special prize. The cake orb. 

The cake orb has a special power that, if used right, can change any food into cake. The selling price of it is not even close to how much the champion of Hoenn can buy it for. Cake was determent to get the orb. So she entered the tournament. 

"Ladies and Gentlemen. To celebrate this years creation festival, We randomly selected four trainers that signed up to take part in the double battle for the chance to win the cake orb!" The announcer showed the beautiful pink orb. "Oh and the winner will also win 1 million dollars!" He then shows the check. Both Leo and Cake were amazed at the prizes and are ready for battle. "Look's like we have trainers from different regions battling today. Cake, Leo, Ace Trainer 'Dust', and the champion of the Hoenn region, Ruby!" The crowd goes wild when they hear the champion's name. "Now to assign battle partners. Cake and Leo will be on the red side. Ruby and Dust will be on the blue side. One pokemon each. Now battle!" All four ran to the stage and went to their side. Cake sent out Sylveon while Leo's Zorua jumped off his shoulder to battle. Ruby sent out Swampert and Dust sent out Typhlosion. 

Right when they said their first attacks, the battle was interrupted by a smoke screen.

I was thinking of doing a small series about the cake orb. These will only be fillers since I only plan to make 3-4 parts of it. If you like the idea of a filler chapter every once in awhile, tell me in the comments section.
