Cora's POV

I started to run once I heard my name. It was probably Cake and Leo. I don't want to confront them now since they know I'm working for Team Rocket. "Cora wait!" I hear Leo call out from a distance. I towards the city itself hoping to hide in the crowd. "Gallade use Psychic!" I hear the POP! Sound of a pokeball and I start to float. I was covered in blue aura and couldn't move.

"Geez Cora huff puff you run as fast as a Rapidash..." Cake said as she came to me. Leo arrived almost immediately after Cake. "Why huff did you run?" He asked catching his breath like Cake. I didn't want to answer, instead I looked for a way out.

"Just answer the question or I'll look into your memories~" A voice in my head told me.I looked around to see who said that when Cake's Gallade had a smug grin. I talked back to it using my mind. "You do know that here in Kanto it's illegal to do that without special permission right?" I lied hoping he'll buy it. Gallade just looked dumbfounded then looked at Cake. He was probably asking what the laws here were.

After a few minutes, he released me and got recalled back into his heal ball. "Cora tell us the truth. Are you working for Team Rocket?" Cake asked. Meanwhile Leo was just standing by waiting for an answer. "Let's get something to eat." I say and walked over to a nearby restaurant. Cake and Leo followed.

I had Trig out of his pokeball this time and got him some chili pepper dish. Cake had her Sylveon with some kind of food for fairy types, and Leo with his Zorua with food for dark types. We each order pasta and water. "I'll tell you now." I told them after getting a bite. "Yes I'm part of Team Rocket." I watch their eyes widen and jaws drop. "How?" They both asked. I took a drink of water and started from the beginning.

A few years ago, well 10 years ago, my hometown was struck by lightning during a storm which caused a fire. Not many people survived the evacuation and were trapped in their own homes. The only survivors were me, and a Team Rocket couple. They took me to their HQ and convinced Giovanni to let me stay till I was old enough to attend their school. I learn what it means to be part of team Rocket through practice missions and pokemon battles. I found a abandoned pokemon egg a year later. I raised it and it hatched into Trig.

I finished my short story and continued to eat my food. Cake and Leo started to whisper to each other. "Cora what is your mission now?" leo asked. I told them that I was assigned to get both the red orb and blue orb. We finished the rest of our food without saying anything else.

Cake paid for our food and dessert. Cake had cake. Leo had ice cream, but it was too much for him so he gave what was left to his Zorua. I also had ice cream. After that, we went to the hotal to stay the night.

"Three rooms please." I told the front desk lady. "Here you go miss. Room #45, Room #46, and Room #35." She handed us each a key which unlocked that room. "Enjoy your stay." She tells us with a smile. We left the lobby to where our rooms were located. I got the key for room #35, Cake got 45, and Leo 46. I was across the hall from Cake's room, and Leo's room is next to hers. We said our goodnights and went our separate ways.

I let everyone out of their pokeballs since there was pokebeds in these kinds of hotels, and i flopped on mine. "What will happen now?" Declan asked climbing up on my bed. "I don't know...." I let my mind wander off for a bit and I eventually passed out.

Cake's POV

After I closed my door, all my pokemon came out of their pokeballs. "Vaporeon?" "Sylv?" "Flare flare?" "Gyra..." "Is everything alright?" They all started to ask me things. Gallade was the only one i can understand because of telepathy. "Cora is part of team rocket.....I don't know how I should feel about this..." I told them as I walked to my bed. "Sylveon." Sylveon said while wrapping her feelers around my hand.

"I know. I shouldn't let something like this break the friendship i already made." I laid down and went to sleep peacefully.

Leo's POV

When I closed my door, Layla jumped off my shoulder and gave me a curious look. "What?" I asked. Layla just snickered. "I got my eye on you." I laid on the bed and went to sleep almost immediately.

~Meanwhile at Indigo Plateau~

Red's POV

I sit on the sofa watching TV while I hear Blue and green argue again. 'If only i was on my mountain..." I listen in on their argument.

Blue: What do you mean she escaped?!

Green: She got the best of me while I was trying to get ahold of you!

Blue: If you were bringing her here, why did you need to call?

Green: because I wanted too. *crosses arms*

Blue: Well how did she escape?

Green: We were surfing on Blasty when she took the blue orb and jumped over board.

Blue: *on the verge of exploding* You mean to tell me that she successfully pickpocket you and jumped off a speeding Blastoise in the middle of the ocean!?! *exploded*

The argument went on and on and on and on and on. Luckily I had my Alakazam on me and used teleport. I teleported to Vermillion city. I walked to the hotel and rented a room. "Here you go sure. Room #36" The desk worker said. I nodded and walked to my room. I went in and closed the door behind me. "Finally, peace and quiet...." I told myself. I went to the bathroom to take a shower.

Cora's POV

I woke up to the sound of running water from the next room. I look at my watch to see that it's 10:15pm. I wasn't asleep for that long. I was about to fall back asleep when i start hearing the person next door sing.

I was staring at nothing with my eyes widen at how good of a singer he was. It was a boy judging on his vocals but it was still really good. I should meet them in the morning before he leaves.
