I alighted immediately we reached Clane's compound from the hospital. It was about 4 o'clock in the evening and my legs were itchy to get to the bedroom. I was eager to know how my results were and why the doctor recommended I read it at home. I saw Clane talking to his father from a distance and saw it the right time to hand him his envelope before I could forget. I  stopped about five metres away from them when I heard Clane rotate.

   " You were the one who did it! What will we do now that they are coming for us tomorrow?"

   " You have to find a way yourself. Your father raised a hero not a weakling!" His father rotated back.

   " I'll see what to do now that  I'm not a fool", Clane said but this time in a low tone.

What I couldn't understand is why his father told him so. Was he not his father? I ignored my mind and made a few steps towards them and Clane saw me. I did not bother to greet them, I just handed the envelope to him and left.

I felt their eyes still on me but I didn't turn. I headed to the bedroom and locked myself in.  While there, I made myself comfortable and tore the envelop open only to find out it was Clane's results! Fertility test was the heading written at the top.

I was about to proceed when I heard a knock at the door. I threw the envelope and the letter of the sofa and went to open.  Clane entered and threw my results on the bed.

   " How dare you give me your fu**ng results! Was I the one who fucked you in the first place?  You can go give it to your baby dady for all I care!" He growled.

   "   what are you talking about? I made a confusion and I accept it but that doesn't mean I'm pregnant!" I for the first time raised my voice at him.

He laughed his ever irritating laughter, cleared his throat then spoke.

   " What is this have to mean woman?" He  picked the letter and opened it Infront of my eye.

   "Pregnant!? How, when and where?!" I exclaimed.

   " I'm supposed to be asking you that not the other way round!" He growled his eyes out.

  If not Clane, who was the father of my baby then? I scratched my head hard but I couldn't remember a thing. A useless mother or a mannerless mother?

    " Who brought me into this room that night if not you then?" I asked

    " You should have asked Harry and Lincolin! I found you here, growling like a female pig on heat and I decided not to wake you up!" He replied.

I was confused with his statement. I recalled what he had told me the morning after the party and my brain became exhausted. How would I start asking Lincolin leave alone Harry for the second time? I wished I could not have taken the drink.

  " What if you are the baby daddy?" I got the courage to ask another question.

    " Then I would have accepted the pregnancy once I saw the results. Look", he said his eyes  glued on his results this time, " I'm infertile, how would I have gotten you pregnant?" He finished his statement, folded his results and spoke his last words before leaving.

   
   " Remember, I've not forgotten what you did this morning".

I felt the heaven turning  it's beauty away from my sight. Who would believe that I got pregnant out of wedlock without my knowledge? Who would believe a liar like me? I had asked Harry what had happened that night days back but he seemed to have  no Idea. Lincolin on the other had refused to communicate on paper completely. Life! His last statement didn't have any meaningful at that time.

My worries were cut short when the lights went off. A Normal shiver ran down my spine when my stranger's throat was cleared before speaking.

   " Shanny darling, did you miss me?"
