'Are you really gonna ignore him like this, Siya?' Shannon asked with a puppy face.
'He is so dame cute and hot and Indian,' Alison threw a pillow at Shannon, 'I am dead sure he likes you! Jealousy was dripping down his face when you were talking to that Dev guy!'
'You should tell him how you feel,' Shannon kept her hand on Siya's, 'whatever happens, at least you will be able to move on.'
'Get a life creatures,' Siya mumbled and picked up her quilt, 'it's just a stupid crush and he already hates me for being such an idiot around him.'
'Firstly, we already have one babes,' Alison placed her hands on her hips, 'secondly, if he really hated you, then why would he wrap his hanky around your wound? He cares ok?' She raised her left eyebrow and pouted at Siya.
'I don't love him,' Siya sighed while shutting the balcony door behind her. She could really use the night to relax and think calmly rather than confusing herself by spending a night in the same room as Shannon and Alison. She wanted their help but all they was doing was pushing Siya down that 'love' lane.
'I think it's time that we take the matter in our own hands,' Shannon got off Siya's bed and walked across the room, giggling. She sure had something planned.
'Get up!' Shannon whispered in Siya's ears. She slowly opened her eyes as a beam of the rising Sun touched her face.
'What is it?' Siya yawned and checked her wrist watch, 'it's six A.M and I can seriously use another half an hour of sleep.'
'No you can't,' Shannon grabbed her hand and led her downstairs, towards the swimming pool where all her cousins and friends were waiting.
Everyone stopped talking at once and looked at Siya as Alison passed her a coffee mug.
'Is it Mochaccino?' Siya grabbed the cup and took a sip.
'Less coffee, extra milk, sugar and drinking chocolate, just as you like it,' Alison announced and took a seat next to Sameer.
'So what is it all about?' Siya asked curiously as Dev shifted next to her.
'Its your cousin's wedding, remember?' Kaira reminded her, 'We are all planning a surprise dance performance and you are part of it.'
'You mean you want me to dance?' Siya questioned bluntly, 'that's not happening and you know it, Kaira... Sameer?' She looked at both of them but saw no sign of agreement.
How could they not remember that It was the only thing Siya wouldn't do, Especially with her father around her. He killed that part of her's years ago. Though, she had sung on her birthday, she couldn't imagine herself going on a stage even if it was as one of the back dancers or chorus singers.
Siya got up instantly and said, 'I am gonna be late for school so I better get going. Thanks for the coffee.' She passed the mug back to Alison but Dev held her hand.
'Oh come on, Siya. Give me the pleasure of dancing with you and I know we can set stage on fear,' he winked and gently wrapped his arm around her waist. Then he took her left hand and planted kiss on it.
'How about you get yourself another partner?' Siya rolled her eyes and tried pushing him away. Dev knew she was trying too hard, but he didn't let go of her. A dirty smile played on his face as he traced his fingers down her waist, still holding on to her hand. His touch was not nice and Siya could sense it.
If there was a meter to measure jealousy, Armaan would have broken it already. While everyone exchanged their amazed looks on how well Dev and Siya were getting along, Armaan was finding it hard to control his anger. He clenched his fist and looked away.
Alison could see that Siya wasn't comfortable with Dev so she decided to interrupt and stop all the whispering, 'Siya, why don't you get ready for school and let's see who partners up with who?' She smiled and pulled Siya away from Dev's grip.
Siya gave Alison a thankyou look and went back to her room, got ready and headed downstairs with her backpack. She had her breakfast and waited for Sameer to show up so she could finally ask for her car keys agian.
'Can I have my car keys,' she asked Sameer, 'please?'
'Promise you will dance?' Sameer teased her.
'Keep them,' Siya turned around and walked towards the main door, hoping for Sameer to come after her.
'How about I drop you off?' Dev called Siya and gripped Her arm as she frowned.
'Top drawer in my cupboard,' Sameer yelled as Siya pushed away Dev's hand and went upstairs to grab her keys.
She thanked Sameer inside her head for unintentionally helping her and left the house.
'You mind if I drive?' Armaan called out as Siya unlocked her car. He stood barely a foot away from her with his hands in his pocket and flower petals resting on his messy hair. Siya couldn't help but notice how his skin-tight t-shirt complimented his well toned upper body, displaying the bumps on it. Wind rushed past his messy hair and a few petals decided to jump over to Siya's face.
Armaan gently brushed them off her face while unintentionally Siya did the same with his hair. She smiled in her head as butterflies did their little trick in her tummy. Her feelings puzzled up again but somewhere, deep down, a part of her hated ignoring Armaan so she casually accepted to the offer and threw the keys at him.
Throughout the journey, Siya waited for Armaan to say something but he kept quite. She wasn't liking this silence, not when they were together, and no one was around. If he was to question her behavior, it would have hardly taken her a second to spill everything she was holding inside.
'Why are you staring at me like this, Siya?' Armaan asked as he dragged her back to the reality.
Siya looked away in embarrassment, 'no.. No I wasn't.'
'So what's up with you and Dev?' Armaan finally asked as they got out of the car. He still didn't know if it was the right thing to do, if he had any right to question her but he was done with assuming things.
'Sorry, what?' Siya nearly missed his question.
'Exclusive? Dating? And when are you introducing him to your family?' He asked bluntly.
'What are you on about, Armaan?' She frowned.
'You think you can get along with this without anyone noticing,' he tightly gripped Siya's arm, 'how many more guys have you been playing around with?' Every bit of him was burning right now as he recalled how Siya was laughing with Dev, how close they were this morning. He was not sure if he even meant something to her or not but some questions were killing him inside.
'You are hurting me,' Siya complained with shimmery eyes. Her heartbeat raised as she looked into Armaan's intense eyes. This was a very unfamiliar side of him but
she was not scare of it. She did figure out where all this was coming from but it was hard to believe how Armaan had taken it all wrong.
He cooled himself down as his eyes landed on Siya's arm which was red by now. He whispered a sorry when he saw tears in her eyes and turned away, regretting his actions.
'He is Alia's cousin and that's all I know about him. He is creepy..... and I don't like him,' She whispered the last part and ran inside, leaving Armaan to sort himself out.

'Did he really?' Alison asked after Siya filled her in with all that had happened this morning, 'that moron Dev was good for something at least.'
'Can we not talk about Dev? He is a creepy douche and I just don't like thinking about him,' Siya cried.
'Oooh so can we talk about Armaan?' Now that Alison was sure that Armaan felt the same way for Siya, she had a license to tease her.
'Nope, have to study cuz some more relatives are coming today and I am dying to meet them!' Siya said sarcastically and pushed Alison out of her bedroom.
Although she had to study for her exam which were in three week's time, Siya couldn't concentrate. She was either thinking about how Armaan had reacted this morning or how weird Dev was getting. Both of them were a huge disappointment for her right now and she wished that by the end of the day, Armaan would be back to being normal.
She plugged in her earplugs, hoping to pay more attention to her books while music disconnected her from the outside world but just then someone knocked on her door. It was her childhood bestie, Tanya Roy, who threw her arms around her the moment she opened the door.
When Tanya's parents lived in Auckland, they were very close with the Raichand's but when they moved out of the city, their friendship drifted apart. The elders were still in touch and that's why the Roy's were invited to Alia's wedding.
Siya had never imagined herself to be this happy after seeing Tanya but how long was this happiness going to last?
