The sun shined bright and the birds chirped along their morning song when Siya's peaceful sleep was disturbed by a car's horn. She slowly stretched her arms and opened her eyes. Oh what a lazy Sunday it's going to be, she thought just before another honk made her jump off her rocking chair like a spring. It was loud and familiar. She walked across the balcony and examined the view to see if she could spot the car. Fingers crossed, she wished it was not her father but to her disappointment, it was him.

'Good morning, Papa,' Siya greeted Mr Raichand when he noticed her, peeking from the balcony.

'Papa' was the right word to use today as, for some reason, Mr Raichand loved it when his kids addresses him this way. Today, being the last day of her holiday, Siya had to be on his good books so she could go shopping with Kaira and Rhidhima without any objections.

Siya quickly ran back inside her room and through her closet. She picked up a random Indian outfit and went to take a shower so she could be on time for breakfast.

When she entered the dinning room, she learnt that Sameer had left early morning to get her car but before she could call or text him, her father came in. Mr Raichand didn't seem very happy and that was not a very pleasant sign. He rushed to his chair and folded his bread toast in half.

'Come sit,' he said to Siya before gulping his toast in three bites. Siya calmly settled herself down next to her father and poured some juice for him.

'You seem to be in a hurry,' Siya hesitated, 'everything ok?'

'No,' Mr Raichand complained, 'nothing is ok. There is something wrong in Wellington and now I have to fly down in about two hours,' he sighed and drank the juice in one go.
Thank God! Siya said to herself. She was glad that Mr Raichand was already leaving for another business trip.

When Mr Raichand left the house, Siya quickly sprinted across the road and through the doors of Sharma house. She quickly greeted Mr and Mrs Sharma and made her way upstairs, towards Kaira's Bedroom. She carelessly ran inside like she always does but crashed against something hard... And tall... And human!

Siya bounced back and just when she shut her eyes so tight in the fear that she was going to fall, two hands came out of nowhere and held her in somewhat 45 degree angle from the floor. She gasped as she slowly opened her eyes. Phew, she thought as she looked around until her eyes met Armaan's, who stood still. When Siya tried getting up she realised that she was stuck between Armaan's freshly showered body and his two muscly arms.

'Err... Armaan?' Siya awkwardly whispered but little did she know that Armaan was not there anymore. He was lost somewhere deep in those beautiful blue eyes.

Last night when Armaan went to sleep, all he could think about was Siya. He just wished he could meet her again and finally talk to her, tell her how he felt about her. Tell her how much she has changed his life already. How he no longer regrets leaving Chrischurch. How he hopes for a better life now.

Armaan slowly brought his left hand near Siya's face and traced his index finger on her forehead to remove little strands of hair off her face.

'Armaan?' Siya tried again and this time Armaan did come back to reality.

Helping Siya stand up again, Armaan awkwardly mumbled, 'oh.. I... I'm sorry,' he finished with a cough in the end.

Right now Armaan could spend hours looking at Siya. He wanted to compliment her on the white and pink outfit she was wearing, the dress she wore on her birthday and tell her that even when she was in her sweatpants last night, she looked nothing but amazing. He wanted to tell her that her innocence mesmerized him and how cute she looks when she is nervous, or scared or shy or smiling or awkwardly looking away.

What's up with me? Armaan thought, still looking at Siya. He had never imagined himself going nuts for a girl and now, here he was; crazily staring into Siya's twinkly eyes.

'Having fun, guys?' Kaira entered the scene to make things even more awkward, 'sweetie, I know my cousin is hot but have you ever seen me hit on Mason?' She mocked around just how Siya had imagined.

'Where exactly are you two living, Kaira?' Siya asked, brushing off Kaira's question.

'Answering a question with a question?' Kaira walked across the room and turned around, 'I like that, girl' she smiled with a hidden teasing expression in there. Just enough for Siya to notice.

'And not answering my questions,' Siya said and folded her arms across her chest, 'that's so Kaira,' she turned around and left the room but not without unintentionally smiling at Armaan.

Before Siya could find Rhidhima, she was called downstairs to have breakfast. No matter how much she tried convincing Mrs Sharma that she had already eaten, she was forced to sit with everyone and that too opposite Armaan.

The only thing awkward about this whole scenario was Kaira. She sat right next to Armaan so every time Siya would look up, Kaira would raise her right eyebrow which would make Siya look away. Rhidhima managed to sense something between Kaira and Siya and to break this tension, she asked Siya her plans who was already ready for shopping.

'No way,' Mr Sharma interrupted, 'you two have done enough yesterday and you better stay home today. You know Siya they came home at three in the morning and that too when Armaan had to go look for them.'

Mrs sharma turned to Siya, 'would you ever do such thing? I am sure not in highschool at least. Oh these girls aren't spoilt!'

Siya was glad that Mr and Mrs Sharma didn't know about her involvement so she just played along, 'yeah exactly! I told them to be home on time but no one ever listens to me,' she let out a sigh while Rhidhima and Kaira watched her face with their mouths slightly open.

'Learn something from her. My dear, you guys have been friends ever since I can remember. How could both of you not already get influenced by Siya already?' Mrs Sharma continued.

Siya was always the favorite of everyone and Kaira and Rhidhima were always given her example whenever they got themselves into stupid situations. Nobody ever realised that whatever Siya did was under the rules of her father. After all who wouldn't want to party hard in their late teens and live their life to the fullest?
Siya knew what she had just done there and Kaira wouldn't spare her for that so when Mr and Mrs Sharma left the dinning area, Siya quickly excused herself and rushed through the doors, followed by Kaira and then Rhidhima.

'Wait up, Siya Raichand!' Kaira called out and rushed through the door behind Siya, 'not gonna spare ya this time!'

When Rhidhima got out of the doors, Siya was already half way down her own driveway, yelling 'catch me if you can!' and Kaira was just crossing the road so Rhidhima carelessly ran towards them and BAMM!!

Siya froze on the spot when she heard the car wheels' screeching sound behind her while Kaira paced up but when someone cried loudly, both of them stopped breathing for a moment as they spun around only to find Rhidhima rolling on a car's bonnet. Her head bounced against the road when she finally fell off the car, leaving her drenched in blood.

While Kaira went weak on her knees, Siya couldn't stop staring at Rhidhima who was lying only a few meters away from her. In that very moment everything stopped moving for Both of them. All they could see was Rhidhima lying on the road, and probably dying in front of their eyes. Kaira couldn't make up her mind about what was going on and Siya couldn't stop blaming herself for starting this 'tag game' in the first place.

Rhidhima felt numb when a thought of dying crossed her mind. She was loosing consciousness and she could do nothing about it. Her breathing became louder and louder as the blood blocked her vision partly. She was not scared of death but what she regretted the most was not being able to tell her only crush how much she loved him.

As Rhidhima closed her eyes, a guy called out her name making her put in all the energy she had left only to open her eyes once. He came running to her and went on his knees next to her. He slowly cupped her face in his hands and told her that everything will be alright and he wouldn't let her go this easily.

A drop of tear touched her lips when she let out a sigh, 'Sameer,' she said and closed her eyes.
