Standing on a sea shore, she reflected her life
‘Twas quite similar to the waves coming beside,
Every wave resembled a new day
That came rumbling with the morning light
And receded quietly in the night
But returned with full force and might;
She let the waves soak her feet in cold water
Exuding out immense joy and pleasure,
The coldness gave her warmth enough to realise every day of life leaves an impression
Good or bad is never in our hands but to stand through is essential!
Trying to hold the salty water in her hands that kissed her fingers and ran
Reminded her of all the people she met, those who stayed and those who went
And the salt tickled her hand as if to say---
No matter how hard you try to hold the moments
They will slip like water
And leave behind memories like salt to remember;
She walked off the shore and the waves followed
Wanting to return but time had its own crunch
Sadly, she turned and murmured—
It was fun there just like life is fun everyday
Making us play topsy-turvy games ,
Just like the waves, time comes and leaves
Only the one which is ours will stay,
But only if we play with the waves of life
And don’t run away to the shore of dying without trying!
