How Life Is Messy
Over the past year, I've found who I'm supposed to be, and who I'm supposed to be around. Yet somehow, I feel out of place. Many of the stories around today classify people based on one trait. But the truth is, we're all a combination of those traits. So much pressure is set around fitting in with just one group, yet almost nobody can. Harry Potter, Divergent, and normal school cliques serve as examples. We are all intelligent, brave, kind, and cunning. Everyone just chooses to show it in different ways. I choose to be helpful and use my knowledge to do so. I choose to be brave, while using my knowledge to come up with an intelligent plan. We all somehow relate to every school clique in separate ways as well. We just choose to change our attitudes depending on who we are surrounded by. Imagine each color of the rainbow is a specific trait.
Red = bravery
Orange = honesty
Yellow = kindness
Green = athleticism
Blue = intelligence
Purple= creativity
Some people are filled with more creativity than intelligence. Others are filled with more honesty than bravery. I am filled with more honesty and creativity than athleticism and bravery.
And the most important thing to remember is: that's okay. It's taken me almost my whole life to realize this. Even though I found labels, I didn't have to. It is not crucial to fit in. Be yourself, and you will find happiness in who you are. You are a mix of beautiful colors. You are white light, and those who you let see the real you act as a prism. They see your layers, each color of the rainbow.
You are beautiful. Never forget that.
