James potter, Sirius black and peter Pettigrew were currently sitting in their dormetory which they shared with two other boys. One of the boys was Remus lupin, he had Brown hair and scars across his face and was currently packing to leave from Hogwarts for a day because "his mother was sick" of course it was completely normal that he was leaving because his mother as sick, but after a while James, Sirius and Peter started to notice a pattern.

"Y'know something seems off about remus." Whispered James.

"What's so off about him? I think he's perfectly fine." Whispered Peter.

"Well something always seems to happen at the full moon that gives remus a chance to go 'home'." Whispered Sirius.

"Do you think he's faking it? so he can get out of school?" Whispered Peter.

"No, Peter he's one of the top students, why on earth would he be faking it?" Whispered James

"Guys this is going to sound crazy but I think that he is a werewolf." Whispered Sirius.

"It does sound crazy but it might be true." Whispered James.

"Maybe we could follow him? y'know.....find out where he's going?" Said Sirius.

"Yeah sounds like a good idea."

The three of them waited for remus to leave the dormitory, after he left, they approached the dormitory door, as they were about to leave a voice said"where are you going?"

They turned and saw Frank longbottom, looking at them with a very questioning look. "Er....bathroom?" Said James.

"You all are going to the bathroom? together?"

"Ummm..... yes."

"Why do I feel like you are lying?"

The friends hesitated for a second then said "we're not lying."

"You're all going to do something that will get you into trouble, won't you?"

"No, Frank you're just overreacting, we have to go now so byeeee!" Said James and with that they left the dormitory before Frank could ask anymore questions.

James, Sirius and Peter looked around for remus and eventually found him with madam promfroy (the school's nurse). The two were walking to a place that James, Sirius and Peter were not supposed to be knowing about.

The trio followed remus and madam promfroy who eventually went outside and walked towards the whomping willow. James, Sirius and Peter hid behind a nearby bush and heard madam promfroy and remus talking to each other.

"Don't worry everything will be back to normal tommorow."

"Yes, madam p-pr-" suddenly Remus's features were starting to represent those of a werewolf.

"You're transforming, hurry, head inside!"

And with that remus quickly dissapeared in the whomping willow.

James, Sirius and Peter couldn't believe what had just happened, it was true, Remus was a werewolf.

*the next day*

"I feel bad for him" said Sirius "being a werewolf really sucks."

"I know right?" Said James.

"Should we tell him that we know about his furry little problem?" Said Sirius.

"Yes, he has the right to know."

So after breakfast the trio went outside (it was a Saturday) to look for remus and found him sitting underneath a tree, reading a book. Remus looked up as the three of them approached him.

"Hey, Remus."

"Yeah?"

"We know about it."

Remus froze at this and said "kn-know about w-w-what?"

"We know that you're a werewolf." Said Sirius s

Remus turned white and opened his mouth to say something but he was cut off by James.

"Listen it's okay that you are a werewolf, we won't tell anyone."

"Y-you won't?"

"We won't." Said the three of them together.

"We also brought you some chocolate frogs, heard that chocolate helps you cheer up." Said Peter while handing one to Remus.

"Thank you." Said Remus as he took a bite of the chocolate frog.

"Anything for our friend." Said James as the four of them continued to laugh and talk.
