Ultra Part 3

"Batman!" Superman shouted as he flew (y/n) into the hall of Justice. "I need your help!"

The bat themed vigilante appeared seemingly out of nowhere behind them. "What is it?" The two quickly turned to see him.

"Kara's gone missing" Superman replied as he looked hopefully at his best friend.

"After her fight with the Humanite?" Batman asked which prompted (y/n) to nod his head.

"I knew that if anyone knew where she could be it would be you" Clark spoke as Batman turned and started walking. The two quickly followed.

"I've been trying to locate the Humanite's lair since his last battle with Stargirl and S.T.R.I.P.E, he knows how to cover his tracks" Batman spoke as he lead them into a room with a giant computer with multiple monitors.

"Oh" (y/n) let out the small sound involuntarily.

"I've gotten close but with the info from supergirl's tracker I should now have a location" he spoke as he sat down and turned the computer on.

"You put a tracker on Kara?" Superman asked, not sounding like he approved but also not like he was surprised. "When?"

"She came to Gotham when she started being a hero. I put it on her cape when she wasn't looking" Batman replied as he did computer stuff. "She's an unknown variable and I needed to make sure she's on our side"

"We've had this discussion" Clark shook her head. "But we won't have it again now. What's the tracker say?"

Batman stared at the screen for a moment. "The tracker went offline near one of spots I had singled out as a possible lair. Two hundred feet under Lake George"

"Lex's old lair" Superman nodded. "Makes sense. I wouldn't have thought to check another villains lair"

"So let's go!" (Y/n) quickly spoke from Clark's side.

The two hero's quickly looked at the boy before looking at each other. "You've already been hurt once while shadowing a hero. We won't have that happen again" Batman spoke matter of factly.

"I'm going" (y/n) glared as he clenched his fists.

"Look son-" Superman started only to get cut off.

"If you don't take me along I'll hurt myself" (y/n) spoke as his eyes shifted to a light blue. Superman didn't notice but Batman quickly did.

"Take him" Batman spoke, Superman quickly looked to him with a confused look as (y/n)'s eyes changed back to their normal color. "Take him" he repeated without elaborating. "Trust me" at that Superman just nodded as if to say he did.

Kara screamed as the Ultra-Humanite grabbed her. Usually she wouldn't give him that small victory but she was powerless now and his super strong hands were hurting her stomach. He quickly snapped the chains that held her to the wall before carrying her out of the room.

Kara tried to pry his hands off of her but was quickly met with a growl from the albino gorilla. "What did Circe do to you?" She asked only to be met with silence. "Maybe I can help you?" The creature growled again.

Kara glanced around for any small thing that could help her but in the creatures grip she was unable to reach anything that could have been useful. "Please let me go?" She whispered.

Finally after a couple of minutes Kara was brought into a room. There were all sorts of sciencey looking machines as well as some surgical equipment and two observation tables.

Circe had a smirk on her face that almost made Kara whimper in fear.

"This is it" Superman spoke as he motioned towards a heavy duty door. The pair had taken a tunnel down until they had finally gotten to it.

"How do we get in?" (Y/n) asked as he looked at the door. "Super strength?"

"Super strength... if it works" Clark replied as he walked towards the door only to find himself in immense pain. He yelled as he found himself covered in a pink light. He was quickly thrown backwards and into the wall.

"Magic" Clark coughed as he stood up. "I hate magic"

"So what now?" (Y/n) asked as he turned to where Clark now stood only to watch him get surrounded by the pink once again and fall to the floor. "Okay then"

(Y/n) slowly walked towards the big door, hoping that what happened to Superman wouldn't happen to him. It didn't.

He finally reached the door only to find an eye scanner was the only way to open it. "Great. How are-" (y/n) suddenly went silent as his eyes changed color and his hair turned white.

The white haired boy walked up to the optic scanner and was about to freeze it in hopes of breaking the door open when suddenly it beeped. "Killer Frost, recognized. Access Granted" He smirked and watched.

The door opened and (y/n)'s eyes and hair went back to normal before he gave a confused look to the open door. "What-" he shut up and didn't question it.

The boy quickly dragged the unconscious Superman inside. "Wake up" he muttered. And just like that Superman woke up, albeit a bit groggily.

"How did we get inside?" He groaned as he rubbed his head.

"I honestly have no idea" (y/n) replied with a shrug. "Door was open. Let's go get Kara"

Clark nodded slowly, they'd question it later. He began listening and quickly heard the sound of screams and straps being strapped. "Hold on" he quickly grabbed the boy and ran.

Within seconds they found themselves in an operating room. Kara was struggling while strapped to a table as the Ultra-Humanite held a mask over her face that was letting out some sort of anesthesia.

"Let her go Humanite!" Clark quickly began walking towards them only to find himself fighting off a brain blast from the ape. He grunted as he kept walking forward in spite of the massive force on him.

The giant ape roared at Superman as Kara finally fell unconscious from the anesthesia. "That's new" Clark muttered before the giant ape quickly ran at him.

"Halt!" The gorilla quickly stopped moving and Clark turned his head.

"Circe" Superman said as he began walking towards the woman.

"Not quiet" the woman growled as she glared daggers at Superman. "Finally I've got the upper hand" she quickly moved her hand and Clark was surrounded by magic daggers.

Superman took a second to realize what she meant before looking back at the albino ape. "Who's brain did you put in that body Humanite? It obviously isn't Circe"

"Correct Superman" The woman known now , as (y/n) realized, to be the Ultra-Humanite laughed as she motioned to the ape. "That's just another ape. I dabbled with the idea of putting that fraudulent Luthor in there but an ape is easier to control"

While the woman was monologuing (y/n) began making his way towards Kara's unconscious body. That was a mistake.

"Ape! Grab the boy" before the boy could even process that he was grabbed. "You think I, the one being with a peak human mind, the Ultra-Humanite, wouldn't notice?" She growled.

"It was worth a shot" (y/n) replied. "Why are you a woman by the way?"

The Humanite turned to look at Superman again. "After our last battle I finally gave up on that old body of mine. While perfect at the time it just no longer suited my needs. I needed something else"

"Kara" (y/n) growled before his eyes went light blue.

"Indeed" the Humanite didn't bother to look at him. "But to defeat a kryptonian I needed an edge" she motioned to her new body. "Circe didn't go down easily but even she could not defeat my intellect"

Clark glanced over at the boy to make sure he was okay but was surprised to see he was gone. The Ultra-Humanite's previous body and the ape brain within were froze and perfectly preserved in the ice. All that observation was in a fraction of a second, he looked back to Ultra and shook his head. "You're insane Ultra"

"Yes, so you keep saying" Ultra smirked. "But once I've placed my brain in your cousins body even you and your league shall be no match for the Ultra-Humanite! I shall be he most powerful creature on the planet!"

"We'll see" Superman replied. Out of the corner of his eye he could see the white haired boy freezing Kara's restraints and breaking them.

"I shall indeed" Ultra nodded before walking closer to the kryptonian male. "You however will not be there to find out"

Now that he was sure that the woman was sufficiently distracted by Clark, the boy carried Kara over to the frozen body of the ape. He put Kara's hand on the thinnest part of the ice so it was close to the creature itself.

"Take its energy" he spoke in a cold voice. "Everything living stores solar energy in its cells Kara, take his" nothing happened. "It's the only way to save your cousin"

The unconscious girl groaned quietly as she subconsciously did as he said. The energy slowly moved from the creatures body and into hers.

The ape didn't survive this process.

Kara's eyes quickly opened, she didn't question the white hair on her boyfriend but instead at supersonic speed flew towards the Ultra-Humanite.

She didn't even have time to hear the sonic boom before she was tackled to the ground and being punched in the face over and over again by supergirl. "Never touch my cousin!" Kara yelled as her eyes glowed red.

"Don't kill him Kara!" The magic daggers surrounding Clark disappeared after another few punches and he quickly flew to her side to grab her fist and stop her from once again punching the woman who had just fallen unconscious from the barrage of punches to the face.

"Kal!" Kara quickly wrapped her arms around her cousin after letting go of the Humanite. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine" Clark replied as he returned the hug. "I'm not the one who almost had their body stolen. How are you feeling?"

"Groggy" Kara offered a lopsided smile. "I- I should have called for help when I encountered the Humanite" she spoke as tears started falling from her eyes. "Next time he's all yours"

"Mistakes can be our greatest teachers if we let them" Superman replied as he pat her back. "Now you have a boyfriend to go talk to. And I have to take Ultra away. Are you okay with me leaving?"

Kara nodded a she pulled away from her cousin. "Thanks Kal"

He smiled at her before grabbing the Ultra-Humanite and flying him away.

Kara turned to see her boyfriend was back to looking like his normal self. "Guess your secret is out" she gave him an awkward smile.

"Guess so" (y/n) opened his arms and Kara was quick to jump into them. She couldn't help but glance at the frozen ape corpse. She felt the terrible but it was just an animal right? Yeah. That's what she'd tell herself.

"I want to go home" Kara whispered as she closed her eyes so she was no longer looking at the corpse.

"Yeah" (y/n) quickly nodded. "Let's go... you'll have to fly us"
