Sorry I took so much time before updating. Been busy with exams and stuffs.

I was in a very good mood.

It was Monday, I really hate Mondays, but my mind was filled with thoughts of Tayo so I was just grinning like an idiot. My phone had been pinging with notifications since Saturday from various guys and girls who were either their friends, sisters or girlfriends. My WhatsApp contact, for the first time since I got a phone, had over a hundred messages waiting for me. Some of them added me to groups where I met other people and you can guess the rest.

I saw Timi, Khalid and Abasi standing in the corridor discussing. Timi had his Head boy badge on, Khalid has a new haircut while Abasi was just.... Abasi.

"Hi Timi! Hi Khalid! Hi Abasi!" I greeted cheerfully. Why waste my morning with hatred? I was happy!!

Timi raised an eyebrow, Abasi's jaw dropped a little while Khalid looked confused.

"Something wrong Yolanda?" Timi asked. His voice was seriously deep. And it sounded nice too, on top good looks. The guy was all rounded.

"Nope. Can't I greet you guys again?" I asked.

"Considering the fact you've never even spoken to us, your greeting is very weird" Abasi said.

"Let's just say I'm in a good mood." I replied and grinned.

"And you know Daniels is around right?" Khalid asked. My grin faltered but I was so happy, I decided not to let that bother me. I mean, it was my fault Daniels hated me right? What harm will an apology cause?

"It's fine. I'm willing to apologize for all of the inconveniences, including the palmoil" I replied.

"Apologize?" Khalid asked, looking surprised.

"Yes na. Abi I shouldn't do that?" I asked, getting confused. Abasi stared at Timi and a silent message flowed between them.

"Why do you want to apologize Yolanda? Don't you hate Daniels?" Timi asked calmly. I shrugged and adjusted my bad strap.

"I'm tired of fighting. Besides, I feel noble right now. What's with you all expressions though?" I asked. I was getting suspicious now, especially that I didn't know what they were talking about.

"Nothing actually. Thank you for the greetings girl" Abasi replied. I shrugged and skipped inside the class. Lilac wasn't in school yet, which was strange by the way. But I guess she was being delayed by traffic congestion.

Tayo wasn't around too.

Okay ..weird...but I really felt a lil bit disappointed.  I searched around and my eyes caught someone.

Daniels was in the class.

With... Ugh... Chloe.

I froze, hoping he won't see me. To apologize to him was one thing, to apologize in public was another. And I was pretty sure that if I choose the latter option, he'll never let me live it down.

As if sensing my presence, he turned slowly and met my eyes. I swallowed slightly, alert and cautious, waiting for him to say something nasty or bad about me or to me.

But he smiled.

Ah.

The smile looked genuine. He smiled at me as if we were old friends. It was terrifying not to lie, Daniels have never smiled at me like that before.

But I had to admit, it did make him look.... Decentish??

A little bit fine sha.

Can't believe I just said that...

"Hey Yolanda!" He greeted. He took some steps and was right before me. I was a tall girl, but with Daniels? I didn't stand a chance.

"Hi?" I replied, my voice asking the hidden question.

"Can I see you in private?" He asked. I looked around and saw Chloe glaring at me. She didn't look too happy seeing her boyfriend chatting with me.

Tch, she can go to hell and burn lol.

"About?"

"In private Yolanda. I'm not gonna hurt you, I promise"  he said softly. I searched his green eyes for any sign of pretense and saw none.

I sighed.

" Alright. Make it quick Sha" I replied as we walked out. When we got to a private area, he stood in front of me and jammed his hands in his pockets.

" So? What's up? Why did you-"

" I'm sorry!"

Ehn?

" Pardon?"

" I said I'm sorry. I really did and said mean things to you then and I apologize. I was really angry that you stepped on me, those shoes are quite expensive"

I could not speak. Hearing the almighty Daniels apologize to me right now in the one of the most shocking things I've ever heard in my life. I blinked at him with my mouth open like a moron.

"Ehn?"

"I'm sorry Yolanda. I really hate fighting with you yunno. Wanna be friends?" He asked and stretched out his hands.

I stared at his hands and stared at him.

Was this really Daniels?

Or was it a clone?

"What makes you think I'll believe you? That you are genuine about....this?" I asked. He sighed and reached for his bag. I watched in curiosity as he brought out a pink, pretty box.

"Here. I got this for you" he said and handed the box to me. I took it from him and read the description label.

M and M chocolates.

I gasped. These chocolates were the best in the country and we're really expensive. Super expensive. Did he really go out of his way to get this for me?

"Wow Daniels" I said softly as I inspected the box. I was really surprised and I felt like...I don't know..I felt warm.

"Do you like it?" He asked. He looked hopeful. I smiled at him.

"Yes. Thank you. I'm sorry about what I did too. But know I'm watching you as well" I said with a smile. He grinned and gave me a salute.

"I can't wait for you to actually like me" he said and winked. I chuckled and rolled my eyes.

" Why will I like you?" I asked sassily.

" Tch, I'm handsome duh! Girls frolick round me." He said and smirked. I hissed playfully.

" Handsome ko, ugly ni. Vivid imagination" I replied. He laughed softly and shook his head.

" Hey, we cool right?" He asked softly.

" We cool" I smiled. He smiled back and waved.

" See you later"

" Yeah" I replied with a small grin.

" See you"

Do you think Daniels is really genuine about the apology?
