As the end of freshman year got closer, final exams were coming up and it was time to study. There I was sitting at my desk in my bedroom studying for them. I was so bored and tired but my mom wanted me to pass these exams so she didn't allow me to take to many breaks from studying. My phone buzzed and a notification showed up on my screen it was a text from Misaki my heart raced a little as I was scared to open the message. I picked up my phone and slid the notification to the right, put in my pass-code, and opened my phone to reply to Misaki after I did that I got back to work. Friday came around and I had to go back to school I groaned in pain because it hurt to keep my ears and tail hidden the way they are after never hiding them before. I walked to first hour; the one teacher that I didn't like Mrs. Hawk; I sat down in my desk then the bell rang for class to start. After class I wandered the halls for a minute then out of the corner of my eye I seen Miara walking up to me with Misaki at her side then she said to him...

"Go on babe! tell her before I do it myself!"

"Ok geez..." he said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"We can't be friends anymore Ruby I'm sorry..." he said as he looked away.

"Why are you apologizing for it?!?!" Miara said with an irritated tone.

"What do you mean...?" I questioned.

"You've been being down right rude to my girlfriend..." he said.

"When was I ever rude to her?" I looked at him with a questioning face.

"She told me you were rude too her last week Friday even though all she did was try to ask you a question..." he said and looked at the ground.

"O-O-Oh..." I stuttered.

As they walked away Misaki's hair moved and I seen an ear piece in his ear and a questioning look appeared on my face. ~Was that what I think it was...~ I thought to myself. I just shook the thought off and walked to class. As the day went on I questioned what happened this morning and then I seen Miara and she wasn't with Misaki she was with what it looked like that one guy named Jaxon and she was all over him I just froze in my tracks ~I need to go to tell Misaki but I don't think he'll believe me~ I thought. To make sure Miara didn't see me I went behind a large pillar down the hallway to find Misaki. I hesitantly walked over to Misaki once I found him he must have seen me out of the corner of his eye because he turned around to look at me.

"What is it?" he asked

"Umm well I have somthin' to tell you..."

"Well?"

"I saw Miara with another guy..."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, if you don't believe me it's fine..."

"Show me."

"Ok"

I lead Misaki down the hall to where I seen Miara with Jaxon but they weren't there which I was confused about. I turned around and Misaki was walking away.

"Wait Misaki..."

"I don't see any sign of my girlfriend cheating on me Ruby!"

Misaki walked away. I turned in frustration ~What the hell!! Why didn't he believe me! That thing in his ear must have a microphone... Goddamn it!!~ I thought to myself. The day went on and I had finally made it to my last class of the day, I took my seat next to Skye then the bell rang and the Mr. Quagle went on to start teaching the class. As class went on I had noticed that Miara wasn't in class but Misaki was here, usually there would be times neither of them showed up because they'd be making out down the hall how I know this was because one time I went to go to the bathroom and I seen them and it was disgusting. Soon the bell for the school day to be over rang and Mr. Quagle told us students as we walked out of the room...

"Remember students exams are next week so don't for get to study over the weekend!"

Skye and I walked towards the front doors to go home. Skye was coming home with me this weekend and we were going to study together since we have the same classes except third but we have them different hours.

"Uggghhh..." I groaned

"What Ruby?" Skye asked.

"I don't want to do thisssssss..." I said

"But do you wanna pass 9th grade right?" she asked with a smirk

"Yes..." I said with crossed arms

"Ok then lets study." she said

Monday came around and I headed to my first hour after I grabbed something from the cafeteria because I wasn't able to eat at home. Class started and we were told to take our seats so that we could begin the first hour exam. I couldn't for wait this day to be over, but this was only the first day of exams still had two more to go. Once I got done with my exam; which I was one of the last ones done; I took my scan-tron up to Mrs. Hawk then went back to my seat and worked on a drawing; which was on my phone; that I've been doing for a couple days now. The bell rang for the class to be over so I got up put my iPad and drawing pen that came with my iPad away in its case and headed to second hour. Once again I was one of the last ones to get done but we had to wait for the bell to ring so that we could leave for today it just felt like forever. The bell rang and Mr. Lue said

"Have a good summer everyone!!"

We all left so many people were in a hurry to get out of the school but without the seniors in the school wasn't as full. I walked home with my headphones on listening to music and singing along. I walked in the front door and up to my room to go draw. Dj greeted me at my bedroom door when I opened it I smiled and petted him then went to sit down at my desk, grabbed my drawing stuff out of my bag, put it on my desk, and worked on the drawing of my dragon OC Taliana. I heard the front door open so I got up and walked downstairs to see who it was but it was only Emerald ~Ugh it's only my older brother~ I thought as I turned back around and went to my room. I sat at my desk and continued to draw. Then there was a knock on my bedroom door so I got up to see who it was again it was only Emerald.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Well I was trying to find you back at the school but you weren't there."

"Yea I know because I walked home."

"Oh." he said.

"Yea, now goodbye." I said and shut the door in his face.

I went back to my desk, sat down, and began to draw again. I couldn't wait for summer to get here I was so tired of school but my mom is making Emerald and I stay in public school for the last three years of our school life. I looked at my phone and it was almost seven o' clock ~I should probably go take a shower and get ready for bed~ I thought to myself. After I got out of the shower I got dressed and climbed into bed and played on my phone until I fell asleep.

~Emeralds P.O.V~

I worried about Ruby; exams were stressing her out and she was still having a hard time making new friends. ~I think that I have a good idea that might help her~ I lay down to go to sleep.

~Rubys P.O.V~

The loud sound of my alarm to woke me up I groaned and sat up in my bed to start waking up. I got out of bed and walked over to my closet to pick out clothes to wear for today it was finally the last day of school which means summer break is starts tomorrow then I ran downstairs, grabbed something to eat, and ran out the door to school. The hours went by fast since it was the last two of the year then the bell rang and I rushed out the school happy to finally be done with freshman year. I heard a car horn beep at me and I turned around and see Emerald in the driver seat of moms car I was in shock then he yelled

"Come on Ruby lets go!"

I didn't say anything I just ran over, jumped in the front seat and he drove off. After Emerald and I spent some sibling bonding time together we headed home, when I walked through the front door my mom was sitting on the couch and she looked at me I was scared.

"Ruby I have something to tell you."

"What is it mom?"

"I'm sending you to camp for the summer."

My eyes widened and my stuff just fell out of my hands and scattered on the floor...
