I woke up before the twins, which was really rare of me, but meh. I started hearing voices and went upstairs to check. Dipper, Mabel, Stan, and Soos were there talking, and for reasons I didn't know Mabel had two googly eyes on her chin.

Stan: I'm-... I'm kinda going through some things.

Soos: In one week my grandma's finally letting me eat crackers on my bed!!! The future's coming for us all, dudes!!!

Stan: The future!!!

Dipper: The future!!!

Mabel: The future!!!

Dipper: *laughs* I'm sorry, I can't take you seriously with that face on your chin!

Mabel: *with a dumb voice* What face, Dipper?!?

Dipper: *laughs* You're doing the voice so you obviously know what I'm talking about!

Mabel: Bi bon't bnow bhat bou're balking about!!!

Dipper and Mabel: *laugh*

You: Alright, future teens, let's go! We have a lot of planning ahead of us!

Dipper and Mabel: Yeah!!!

Once dressed and fed, we went to the living room. Mabel was now wearing some sunglasses and a sombrero, Dipper had a checklist, Soos hada piñata, and I had my journal. Mabel had assigned me to do a special painting for the party.

Mabel: Alright, party planners, in one week we become teenagers and our summer vacation winds to an end, so we need to throw the greatest party of all time!!! I'm talking piñatas with tinier piñatas inside!!!

Soos: *as he pores candy into a piñata* Boom, dreams coming true!!!

Mabel: I'm talking inviting everyone in town!!! *takes Dipper's notebook and pen* Let's see, where do we stand with the gnomes...?!?

You: Not so good.

Stan: *enters* Not so fast, doofus and girl doofuses. After that zombie incident no one's throwing another party at my house! I keep fighting little bits of the undead in the couch cushion. *throws the bat which you catch*

Mabel: But Grunkle Stan, we need some roof to raise!!!

You: What about renting the Gravity Falls high school gym?!? My school would always host the dances there since the middle school one's too small!!! It's empty all summer long!!!

Mabel: The gym's a great idea, (y/n)!!! To the high school!!!

Suddenly the ground shook harshly making us all scream. Suddenly we heard Ford yell: "Dipper, my face is on fire!!!" making Dipper run out of the room.

Dipper's POV

I ran to the room Ford was in.

Dipper: Great uncle Ford, are you ok?!?

Ford: Oh yes, I'm fine. I just said that to make sure you'd come in here quickly.

Dipper: But your face is on fire!

Ford: *pats away the flames* Yes, it's must faster than shaving. Now listen, Dipper, we have a very important mission and you are the only one that can help me. *takes out the rift orb* Remember the rift in dimensional space time I showed you? It's cracking. This is what Bill has been waiting for, if it breaks it would cause reality as we know it to completely unravel! A hypothetical and catastrophic event I call Weirdmageddon.

Dipper: *stares at the chalkboard in shock*

Ford: Bill is out there, and he'd use any trick, from deception to outright possession to make this happen. But for the sake of humanity we mustn't let it!

Dipper: What do we do?!?

Ford: We patch the rift. *puts the rift orb in a case* I'll explain on the way.

Dipper: Oh wait, what about Mabel?!?

Mabel: *by the door besides you who is holding two bags* It's ok, Dipper. You should totally go with Grunkle Ford to save the world or whatever!

Dipper: Are you sure?

Mabel: We're gonna be doing birthday junk all week!

You: Plus she made me pack you this bag.

Mabel: Here's one for my party mission and one for your smarty mission!

You, Dipper, and Mabel: *laugh*

Ford: *clears his throat* I did mention that the fate of the universe is at stake, didn't I? Hurry, we haven't much time!

Dipper: *whispers to himself* Ok Dipper, it's your first big mission with Ford, a chance to prove yourself!

You: *kiss his cheek* Kiss for luck!

Dipper: *blushes and smiles before following Ford*

Your POV

We left to go to the school gym. When we entered there was a lot of people in lines.

Mabel: Whoa, (y/n), I thought you said this place was empty!

You: It usually is.

Wendy: *from the line* My dogs, what up!

Mabel: *runs over followed by you and Soos* Wendy!!! What are you doing here?!?

Wendy: *groans* High school registration.

Mabel: Ooh!!! *wraps an arm around you* You know we're only a year away from high school ourselves!!! *moves her arm away* Would you say your experience is more rom-com or wacky rom?!?

Wendy: More like teen horror movie!!! High school is the worst!!! Classes get super hard, your body just flat out turns against you, and worst of all, everybody hates you!!! *points at the angry, scared, sad teens in the other side of the room*

Mabel: Why aren't they singing about following their dreams?!? Tv taught me that high school is like some sort of musical!

Wendy: Tv lied, man!!! If you could avoid growing up, do it!!! I'd give anything to be twelve again... Anyways, what are you guys doing here?

Mabel: Oho, just looking for a place to have my 13th birthday party...

You: *put your hand on Mabel's shoulder*

Man: Wendy-... Boarduroy? I-I mean Corduroy?

Teens: *laugh at Wendy*

Wendy: *growls* See what I mean? *goes over to the table*

Mabel: ... *goes outside*

You: *follow Mabel and see her talking to the walkie talkie as she sits in the steps*

Mabel: Master Mabel to Dippity Dog, we can have our party at the gym but we gotta talk about high school... I'm starting to think it might not be he awesome future we were expecting, over...

Dipper: *through the walkie talkie as his voice sounds through the static* I'm going through a bad patch, Mabel. We'll talk when I get back.

Mabel: Dipper?!? Come in?!? Come in?!? *sigh*

You: Hey, don't worry, I'm sure it's not as bad as it seems.

Mabel: I don't know, (y/n)...

You: Reassuring friend hug?

Mabel: *looks at you sadly*

You: *raise your arms for a hug*

Mabel: *hugs you*

You: And if things do turn south, you still have Dipper watching your back.

Mabel: I wish you could move to California with us.

You: *chuckle* I would love to, but I don't think your parents would like another kid.

Mabel: ...

You: I know what will cheer you up. Let's deliver some invites to your friends, ok?

Mabel: *pulls away* Yeah!

The first house we went to was Grenda's. I stayed in the car with Soos, but I could hear the conversation.

Mabel: *knocks on the door*

Grenda: *opens the door* Oh hi Mabel!!!

Candy: *walks out with Grenda*

Grenda: You're just in time for our one o'clock boy talk!!!

Mabel: If you think that's good... *shows her friends the birthday invitation* Boom!!! Me and Dipper's 13th birthday jam!!!

Grenda: *takes the invitation* Aw man, your birthday's in the last day of summer?!? I'm not gonna be here!!!

Mabel: What...?!?

Grenda: Marius is flying me out to Austria to hang out at his castle or whatever that week. He's so clingy!!!

Mabel: You're gonna be out of town for my birthday...?!? But at least you can come, right Candy?!?

Candy: Sorry Mabel, my parents send me to music camp this time of year. There is no escape from music.

Mabel: So neither of you are gonna be at my birthday party...?!? And you want be able to wish me goodbye at the end of summer...?!?

Candy and Grenda: *hug Mabel*

Candy: I'm sorry, Mabel...

Grenda: Summer happened so fast... *picks her now ringing phone* Ugh, Marius!!! Now's not the time!!! *picks it up and goes back inside*

Candy: *pulls away*

Mabel: I think I need to radio for emotional back up... *starts walking to the car* Dipper, please come in, our party mission is going down in flames, over... *hears the static and sighs, then enters the car*

You: I'm so sorry, M...

Mabel: It's ok, it's not your fault...

We arrived home. I had never seen Mabel in such a sad mood. We went to our room, she laud on the floor looking through her scrapbook with Waddles beside her.

Stan: *enters* Hey, everything alright, pumpkin?

Mabel: *sigh* I just can't believe the summer's almost over... And now that I know how awful high school is going to be I'm in no hurry to start that train wreck...

Stan: Ah, nobody likes getting older, but just because you're growing up doesn't mean you have to grow up, you know? I mean look at me! I'm pushing seventy and I still eat ice cream for diner!

Mabel: But I don't want to say goodbye to Gravity Falls...

Stan: Hey, at least whatever happened this summer you'll still have your brother along with you through think and thin. Not everyone can say that, you know? *ruffles Mabel's hair, then leaves*

Mabel: ... I need to go to the bathroom... *leaves*

I start drawing in my journal. At least I could finish the drawing she asked me to do. I started to hear static coming from Mabel's backpack. I got her walkie talkie, I began to hear Dipper and Ford's voices.

Ford: Listen to me, Dipper. This town is a magnet for things that are special, and that includes you and me. It brought both of us here for a purpose. Stay here with me, Dipper. Become my apprentice, don't let anyone hold you- *coughs*

Dipper: I'll do it. I'm gonna stay.

Ford: Excellent! Now who wants to save the world, apprentice? 

He was staying to become Ford's apprentice. You would think that would make me happy, but becoming Ford's apprentice would mean that he would stay down in the basement 24/7 so it would be like he wasn't there. I turn around to see Mabel who seemed like she had been stabbed through the heart as tears formed in her eyes. I didn't know what to say at this point, I just hugged her as she cried.

She then said she wanted to be alone so I left the room. Later on I saw Dipper with a joyful grin on his face. He went to his room and after a minute I could hear them arguing.

Some more minutes and I heard Dipper yelling for Mabel as she ran passed me and out the door. I wanted to go after her, but something held me back. I couldn't breath, I felt as if something was choking me. I started coughing roughly as I feel to my knees. Dipper ran to me and whatever happened to me left. He helped me stand up, but I shoved him aside. I can't believe he was gonna abandon Mabel.

I ran out the porch, but stopped in my track when I saw an X open in the sky. I could only stare. Dipper and Ford we shortly beside me.

Dipper: What's going on?!?!?!?

You: What is that?!?!?!?!?!?

Ford: We're too late!!! It's the end of the world...
