"I'd like to introduce you all to our annual battle, and I hope today will be a clean fight, with a great, powerful winner."

I watched as the battlers took their places from the spectators seats, but since I 'belonged to Natsu' I got to sit at the front next to Levy and Juvia, who were to interested in their boyfriends to even say hi.

"Now, let the battle commence!"

(Lucy's POV)

Well, I'm learning a lot very quickly. There are three representatives for each tribe, and each person's name is picked at random and put into either Group 1, 2 or 3. Their are 24 competitors, which means there are 8 people per group.

There are four knockout rounds, then a quarter final, a semi final and a final round. The knockout rounds have 24 competitors, then the quarter finals have 12 competitors, the semi final has 6 and the final is a 3 way battle for dominance.

Well, that's what I was told. I don't know how they get paired up, but I'm just going to leave the game planners to that.

"Umm, excuse me," I turned around and spoke to the lady sat behind me. "What are the rules in this game?"
"Oh, dearie," she smiled. "This is no game. This is a serious battle."
"Then, h-how do you win?" I asked. She took a deep breath.

"During this tournament you go one on one against someone. Then you'll fight it out until the other either surrenders or is unable to fight." She explained.
"W-wait, does 'unable to fight' mean-" she cut me off.

"Dead."

"Oh my god." My eyes widened in shock and my jaw dropped. Natsu's not the type to surrender. None of the boys are. What if something happens to him!?

"So, which one's yours?" She smirked, as if we didn't just discuss someone's possible death.
"Excuse me?" I asked.
"You're sat in that specific seat, which means one of our representatives out there is yours." She smirked. "Who?"
"N-Natsu, Natsu Dragneel." I stuttered.

"Ooooo, he's a good one." She nudged me lightly in the arm. I don't even get this woman, I've spoken two words to her and now she thinks we're buddies?
"Oh, uhh... thanks?" I replied, but it came out more like a question.

"So, do you know if you're with child yet?" She blatantly asked. I did reply to her, after choking on my own saliva. I swear I need to get used to everyone's openness.

"N-no, I'm not with child." I told her, worried about her response.
"Oh, that's rare. What bad luck!" She exclaimed. I decided to go along; I'm not dealing with more baby drama.

"I know." I sighed.
"Maybe next time then." She smiled, and I smiled back. God my acting is amazing. Needing to cringe badly, I turned back to the arena to see some battles taking place. I'm really not feeling too good after what the woman said, so I'll spare you the gory details of most fights.

This guy called 'Tamaki' was against a strong-looking girl named 'Asuna' but his flirting technique didn't work out very well, since he surrendered 5 seconds in.

In the second battle a girl named 'Haruhi' also surrendered against another girl named 'Mikasa', who looks powerful.

In the last battle of the first knockout round a guy named 'Sasuke' went up against a crazy looking girl named 'Yuno' who went a bit far if you ask me. He surrendered.

Second knockout round and two guys called 'Akise' and 'Haruka' are battling it out. It was kind of a pathetic battle compared to the others, but Haru eventually surrendered.

Next up was Gray! He was against someone named 'Makoto' who was from the same tribe as that Haru guy from before, so you could've guessed that Gray won that round.

Then a girl named 'Sinon' won against a guy named 'Kyoya'. He was very smart, but he didn't have the stamina to keep up what he was doing.

Round three of the knockouts looked very interesting, since most of the competitors looked strong. First up was a scary guy named 'Kaneki' against someone called 'Naruto' and after a long battle, Kaneki won.

A strong guy called 'Kirito' went against a girl called 'Sakura', but he beat her and she surrendered.

Next up was Gajeel! He went against another guy from that Iwatobi tribe, who's name was Nagisa. Like I said before, our tribe easily beat theirs, and Gajeel won.

The final knockout round! The first battle was two guys named 'Armin' and 'Hide', who both didn't put up much of a fight. In the end Hide won.

Then it was Natsu's turn. He was up against a guy named Eren, who was from the same tribe as that strong girl Mikasa. He didn't look easy to beat, but certainly didn't look hard either. Him and Natsu fought with swords and spears, until there was finally a victor. Eren surrendered.

The final battle of the knockout rounds was between a scary girl named 'Touka' and some wimp named 'Yuki'. The crazy Yuno girl kept cheering Yuki on, but when Touka won and made him surrender, Yuno was enraged.

There was some, no, a lot of yelling between Yuno and the game makers, when Ichiya intervened.

Ladies and... Men." He began. "We will be taking a short break, so please take some time to stretch your legs and spray some *sniff sniff* parfum."

Okay, there's a break. Thank god. So, before I go see Natsu, I'll go through the battles with you:

So now most of the.... weaklings? have been eliminated, it's about to get real.
