"Did you mean what you said!?"

"Of course I did. Why wouldn't I?" Natsu smiled. At that moment I sighed both mentally and physically, giving him a hug.

"Thank god. I was scared that you just wanted to impress your dad for a moment there." I said, my words muffled into his chest.
"Don't worry Luce," He smiled, hugging me back.

"In my eyes, you come first."

(A/N): Wow, this is a long overdue update. Sorry about that. I know I said that I was going to focus on my other story and finish it, but I was feeling inspired to write a chapter in this book, so I did.

(Natsu's POV)

It's been two weeks since the females were let out of The Temple. Gray and Gajeel are always around their women though, like they're attached to them.

They've changed. A lot.

It's like they've grown up. Matured. They don't wanna mess around anymore, they just want to hunt for food and be with their woman.

I mean, it's not that I don't want to be with Luce, I love her to pieces, but I would of thought that she'd like her own space from time to time.

Besides, I'm missing some quality chill time, but no one wants to hang out.

It's like they've done something I haven't.

"Yo! Natsu!" I turned around and saw Gray walking over.
"What's up Ice Princess?" I smiled.
"Where's Lucy?" He asked. "Aren't you supposed to be with her?"

"Well, yeah, but being around her 24/7 is a little obsessive don't you think?" I looked at his blank expression.

"No." He stated. "Don't you feel like you need to protect her?" Gray turned to look me in the eye. "Do you not get a burning feeling in here that just makes you want to keep her safe?" He pointed to my chest.

"How strong are we talking?" I asked.
"Like it's going to kill you every time you're not with her." He said.

"Well, no." I sighed.

"No?" Gray yelled. "How can you not?" He looked at me confused, but then his eyes widened.

"You didn't do it, did you."

"Do what?" I asked.
"You're so stupid." He sighed. "Why do you think the temple is known for bringing babies?"

"I'm supposed to make a baby!?" I yelled. "How do I do that!?"

Gray just stared at me, wide eyed.

"You have to be kidding me..." He rested his hand on his forehead.
"So you've made a baby, but you won't tell me how to make one?" I asked, a little annoyed. "That's a bit rude isn't it?"

"Okay, first, make is the wrong word. Secondly, the baby doesn't exist yet." Gray told me. What? This is so confusing.

"How can it not exist if you've made it? Where is it?" I asked him.
"I-it's inside Juvia..." He mumbled.

"OH MY GOSH DID SHE EAT IT!?" I yelled. In the distance I saw a load of older hunters laughing at me, one of them being my dad.

"DAD!" I yelled. "Juvia ate a ba-" Gray covered my mouth hastily.
"She didn't eat it you dense prick!" He whisper-yelled.

"Well then how did it get in Juvia then!?" I asked, still confused.
"Maybe that's a conversation you should have with someone else." He sighed, picking up a spear.

"I'm heading off to get dinner." Gray told me. "You coming?"
"I'll join you later." I smiled. "I'm going to solve this mystery first."

Gray just sighed, then walked off.

(Lucy's POV)

I relaxed on the big double bed, exhaling as I did. Levy just told me that she doesn't want to hang out now, and that's what she's been saying for a while. So has Juvia, and everyone else.

I'm starting to worry, it's like they've done something I haven't.

"Luce!" I looked up and saw Natsu burst through the door. "I have a very important question to ask!" I made space for him on the bed and he turned to look at me.

"Do you know how babies are made?" He stared into my eyes.
"B-Babies!?" I yelled. "Why do you want to know that!?"
"Do you know!?" He got closer.
"I-I think I do, a little, why?" I questioned.

"When we were in the temple, we were supposed to make a baby! That's why everyone is acting differently! They've all made babies and we haven't!"

My face blushed a deep red. So that's what Levy meant when she said she did 'stuff'.

"O-oh," I stuttered.
"We need to make one. Fast." He looked at me with a determined look.

"W-what? Now!?" I asked, and he nodded in reply.
"How do we do it?" He asked.

I nearly choked.

"W-we can't do it right now." I stuttered.
"Why not?" He asked. "We're the only ones that haven't!"
"I-It's not the right time of day." I told him. He looked confused.

"This whole baby thing really doesn't make sense. Does it have to be a certain time of day?"
"Well, people normally go to sleep once they've made one, so we have to do it at night." I told him, trying so hard to keep a straight face.

"But I don't know HOW to make a baby!" He yelled.
"Go and ask your dad. He'll know." I giggled.
"Why can't you tell me?" He pursued. "I don't get it."

"Just trust me and ask your dad." I smiled, patting him on the shoulder. "There are some things in life certain people aren't supposed to tell you, just like the situation we're in now."

"One more question." Natsu sighed.
"Gray said the baby was inside Juvia. When we make a baby, will it be inside you?"
"Yes." I giggled. "It grows in me for 9 months before it becomes an actual baby."

"Wow, that's some creepy stuff." Natsu gazed in awe. "I'll go now, thanks for answering the questions Luce!"
"No problem, see you later." I waved as I watched him sprint out the door.

What a dense baka.
